My husband has complex needs and the staff cope very well to manage this. He is cared for extremely well. The staff are always very friendly and approachable and the care home is always very clean and welcoming to visitors. The home has set up a family monthly form to meet with the manager as well as a monthly newsletter which is shared with families of residents.

Resident has been in this care home for 10 months and have always found the staff excellent, caring, friendly and treat my relation with dignity. The home is very clean and they organise a good variety of activities for the residents. Manager is also very approachable and has put excellent communication to the family. They are also very experienced in dealing with challenging behaviour which is very difficult to deal with. Excellent care home.

All the staff I have had contact with either in person or by phone have always been polite in relation to my dad. Have always treated him with dignity.

The process of booking appointments and tests seem to be well organised.

Care home manager and all staff very helpful. Room comfortable. Considering my husband is a very private, independent person, he is treated with kindness and dignity. His breakfast is his most important meal of the day; he enjoys that.

I think my dad was happy here. He was in a poor way when he went in and didn't really understand what was going on. Someone was called in to give him one to one to help him settle. This member of staff then gave him fantastic treatment until he died. I am very impressed with the staff and everyone I had dealing with.

Sanford House accepted my father at the end of his life when the complexity of his needs meant that many other settings felt unable to offer suitable care for him. From the beginning, management and staff were unfailingly welcoming, caring and supportive to both dad and all the family members who were able to visit.
Nursing and care staff took the time to get to know dad's needs and moods and adapt their care accordingly. There was a calm and positive atmosphere in the home with lots of activities on offer, although dad was not able to participate in many of them.

All in all the family will always be grateful for the care Sanford House provided in the time dad was with them and we were reassured that dad could not have had better care in that time.

The last few years I fell that my mother has been very well cared for. She was always kept clean and very presentable. I was always kept in the loop regarding aspects of her care. I have every respect for all the members of staff within the care home. I have nothing but admiration for the home and staff.

During a short 3 week stay at Sandford House Nursing Home for our brother, the staff, facilities and special care was excellent. There was no restriction on his needs for his room which made it more comfortable during his short time at the home.

From the management right through we will always be very grateful.

My mother-in-law was at the care home for a week receiving end of life care. Every time we visited the staff were friendly and informative. My mother-in-law was always clean and well looked after, no matter what time we attended. The care home was always clean and tidy and the staff were happy to help, the manager was always happy to answer any questions.

My mother received outstanding care compassion and empathy during her last two weeks of her life. Every member of staff were polite and kind making sure our needs were met as well as my mothers. Sandford House is a well-designed purpose-built nursing home and with some money spent updating the rooms it would be perfect.

As the Home Manager I believe our residents are our priority, and we are privileged that they choose to be in our homes and care and trust us to support their needs.

I completed my Nursing Degree at Trinity College Dublin in 2010 and moved to the UK in 2011. Since becoming a Registered Nurse, I have worked in a variety of roles within the care sector for over 13 years. I have worked with adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems in secure services for over 4 years and then moved on to Dementia and Nursing Home Care. I progressed to a clinical lead role and then onto the part of Home Manager. I also supported homes across Norfolk and Suffolk as an Operations Manager.

Working across various settings has supported my clinical and management skills development.

I operate an open-door policy and am approachable, not only to my team but to the residents and their relatives too. I encourage person-centred care and reflect this in how the staff team works and delivers their care.

I am passionate about putting residents first as we are given the opportunity to work in their homes and care for and support their needs.

I enjoy training developing and mentoring my team members to grow and develop in their roles at home and within the company.

In my spare time, I love to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy reading, running, and watching rugby. I also enjoy travelling when possible visiting different cities and countries and experiencing different cultures.
