My father spent the last five weeks of his life receiving palliative care at Sandford House. As a family, we visited Dad every day during this time. The staff were not only very kind and caring towards Dad, but also very supportive to us.
We were kept informed at all times of any changes in his condition and of adjustments to his medication and the reasons for it.

Dad was always treated with kindness and above all dignity. Care homes so often receive bad press, but we found Sandford House to be a breath of fresh air and can only thank them for all their kindness and compassion.

My Mum spent her last 3 weeks at Sanford House and we couldn't have asked for more. The staff were very kind and caring, not just to Mum but to all members of the family. Nothing was too much trouble.

My father in law came to this care home for palliative care.
As soon as he arrived from hospital to the care home all the staff have been wonderful.
Very friendly and easy to talk to.
He is kept clean and comfortable.
The room is clean and tidy, nice touches like pictures make it feel homely.

Would highly recommend as they all do a fabulous job in some very upsetting situations at times.

We find the home very caring. The staff are very caring and professional nothing is too much trouble. The home is extremely clean and tidy, everyone seems to know their role and just gets on with the task at hand. My mum is quite a handful at times but the staff take it in their stride and encourage her and help her to calm down. I wouldn't want her anywhere else.

Sadly Nan was only at Sanford House for a short time before she passed away. The care that she received during her stay was outstanding. The staff were very caring and friendly and made her stay welcoming, a home from home experience. They also made my family and I very welcome and at the end, they treated us all with care and respect. I would highly recommend Sanford House. Thank you for all you did for Nan and us. We will never forget your kindness.

the staff at Sanford House provided excellent care for my grandmother whilst in their care from August 2017 through to her passing on November 6th 2017. The staff were professional and very caring in dealing with my grandmother. When the appropriate time came both my sister and I were kept fully updated and discussed end of life care for my grandmother. This was dealt with in a sensitive and caring manner. The surroundings are pleasant and rooms provided are of a good standard. However, most importantly it is the staff that make the place and that is important for both residents and the relatives.

My mother spent the last 6 months of her life at Sanford House Nursing Home, passing recently. We cannot praise the staff highly enough, they all have hearts of gold and treated my mother with care, compassion and dignity at all times. My brother and I spent the last week at her bedside and they were kind and caring towards us too. Seeing mum then and her interaction with staff, we realised that they had become like a family to her. We were apprehensive when we went in having heard horror stories about care homes, but we were so pleased that she ended up there. Should the need arise, I would be more than happy to place my elderly father there.

My wife was a resident for the past 6 months at Sanford House Nursing Home. I spent every afternoon in the company of staff and patients and was pleased with the welcome I always received. The care given to my wife was all I could have wished for and I know that my wife appreciated all the help that was freely given by all the staff and management. Thank you all very much.

My mother reluctantly had to go into a nursing home 15 months ago. During her time the care sh received was outstanding from all members of staff, showing care and compassion at all times. In my mother's final three weeks of her life the family decided to stay by her bedside day and night, not only did my mother receive care but the staff went out of their way to ensure that we were also cared for, supplying us with food, drinks and bedding, showing the same compassion for us as our mother.

My wife came into Sanford House Nursing Home in September 2014 with a one-to-one care. At first, some of the care was provided by agency staff but since using the homes own staff, the care is excellent. This gives a much better quality of care as the carer knows the resident's needs. I am very grateful for the care she receives.

I am always impressed by the warm welcome by all the staff every time I visit the home. The care and attention given to each resident is very noticeable. The staff can't do enough for them and you can tell they enjoy their work. The home is decorated with Christmas decorations the residents would have been used to. It looks comfy, warm, festive and homely for the residents. The Sanford whole team look after and take care of my mum and all the residents really well. I'm very grateful to them all. I have peace of mind and are completely satisfied, thanks to them all.

Absolutely happy with the care my Aunt receives. The staff are efficient and go out of their way to assist the residents and their families;/friends. Sanford House has a welcoming and warm ambience and feels very homely. It certainly is not a sad place but is a bustling busy home which makes a real effort to keep spirits up. I would happily recommend Sandford House.

My mother came into this residential home after Easter this year and she has been welcomed into an efficient, caring and friendly well-managed home. She settled in really well because people who work here were so professional and kind. We felt safe and secure with good communication and effective medical care as well as confident in their facilities and approach. The food is particularly excellent and the atmosphere is full of warmth and generosity of spirit.

As the Home Manager I believe our residents are our priority, and we are privileged that they choose to be in our homes and care and trust us to support their needs.

I completed my Nursing Degree at Trinity College Dublin in 2010 and moved to the UK in 2011. Since becoming a Registered Nurse, I have worked in a variety of roles within the care sector for over 13 years. I have worked with adults with learning disabilities and mental health problems in secure services for over 4 years and then moved on to Dementia and Nursing Home Care. I progressed to a clinical lead role and then onto the part of Home Manager. I also supported homes across Norfolk and Suffolk as an Operations Manager.

Working across various settings has supported my clinical and management skills development.

I operate an open-door policy and am approachable, not only to my team but to the residents and their relatives too. I encourage person-centred care and reflect this in how the staff team works and delivers their care.

I am passionate about putting residents first as we are given the opportunity to work in their homes and care for and support their needs.

I enjoy training developing and mentoring my team members to grow and develop in their roles at home and within the company.

In my spare time, I love to spend time with family and friends. I enjoy reading, running, and watching rugby. I also enjoy travelling when possible visiting different cities and countries and experiencing different cultures.
