The Pines Nursing Home

My husband's Aunt, Jane has been in The Pines since 2018. She has always been happy here & has been treated with care & kindness.

My husband has been a resident at the Pines since April 2025. The Manager, the deputy Manager and all the staff have done an outstanding job looking after my husband. Nothing has been too much trouble for them. The carers and nursing staff are all wonderful. We are so lucky to have found the Pines Nursing Home.

Guests are made to feel at home.

Our mother has been at The Pines for 10 years and has had the best care here, support, food, interactions and at 94 years she is still enjoying life.

I always get positive feedback from the resident I visit every month. Especially the kindness and care given by all The Pines staff. Thank you.

I am writing to commend staff of the above nursing home. As a frequent visitor + am impressed by the high standards of cleanliness, and the compassionate nature of the carers. The home always feels cheerful when arrive to visit. It is good to know that Helen is being looked after very well. She does tell me about the good food. The excellent staff, Heather (matron), Geraldine, Vanessa, Moses.

Superb caring and attentive with great focus on keeping everyone active and occupied. Great staff.

Helpful staff and management. Any requests or concerns I have are listened to and acted upon. Mum is happy and relaxed which gives us great comfort. Rooms are spacious, well equipped and clean. Staff are attentive.,

My mother spent the last week of her life at The Pines, after being transferred from hospital. The care and attention she received were outstanding. The staff did everything they could to make her comfortable and maintain her dignity. They were equally kind to me and my sisters throughout this emotionally challenging time - not just the tea and cake, but real understanding, warmth and sympathy. We are all so glad that our mother was able to end her days in such a caring environment. I can't imagine anywhere else could have been better. Finally, particular thanks to the care home manager. A great leader/manager and a wonderfully practical, efficient, warm and sympathetic person.

When I accompanied my husband to take up residence we were treated by the manager and administrator and many of the staff in a very welcoming way as if we were already friends - which we certainly became. My husband died within a week but I would not hesitate to recommend The Pines.

My mum was at The Pines just short of 6 years. In that time I saw nothing but kindness and care for the residents and their families. They have always kept us updated on the health of Mum and anything we needed to know. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble. The staff all work together as a well oiled machine and are a great team. I would definitely recommend The Pines if someone was looking at care homes.

The Pines provided my brother with excellent palliative care for the last month of his life. As a family we looked around the home and were impressed by their gentle and thoughtful approach - with a focus on not just ensuring that their care would be adjusted as my brother's needs changed, but also their determination to support us as a family with the challenges we faced. The staff listened to us and every visit left us with the reassurance that he could not be given better care. Every staff member was impressive and we will always be grateful to the manager and the whole team.

Staff were very nice. They were always kind and ready to do what I asked. Food would have been excellent but I don't like pasta very much! The menu was good and it was nice to have a choice. Everything was clean and tidy.

The staff are all very caring and there is a strong focus on working with the residents to get the best outcome. Manager and deputy manager very calm, helpful and professional. The team supporting Mum were very friendly and warm. Impressive how long many employees have been there. Mum said that she was always encouraged to do the activities.

They shower me. Help me with my TV. Keep room tidy. Staff are friendly.

While I am still finding my way here I have been helped by the kindness of everyone. I am still getting used to belonging to a group who I don't really know as yet.

My father was recommended to The Pines from the hospital for end-of-life care. He has been so lucky to have a place in this caring comfortable and excellent home. The staff have a friendly and professional approach that makes his life much more bearable. The additional time taken to engage with him makes a huge difference.

Staff are very attentive to the clients and real-time needs, showing compassion and being proactive with care requirements and advice. The home offers a good variety of activities and is well encouraged by staff to attend. I would always recommend this home especially due to the caring and nurturing nature of the staff.
