Providing support for residents in a comfortable and tranquil environment, The Pines offers a variety of outdoor quiet areas through elegant and inviting grounds. The grounds offer a sense of peace and quiet to visitors and residents throughout the year. Corridors are bright and airy and the main lounge and dining areas are spacious and comfortable.

The head chef provides outstanding food, catering to a vast array of cultural and dietary requirements and the home aims to cultivate an attractive and restful environment for residents and visitors alike. After submitting our previous review concerning the passing of our Uncle we would like to say at his funeral two of the carers from The Pines attended which we were extremely pleased to see.
Despite not having a call from the manager personally we would like to say very many thanks for your show of
support and caring attitude which is greatly appreciated by the whole family.

My mother-in-law has been resident in The Pines for many years, during which of course many changes have occurred eg ownership, staff, different focus on treatment. However, the options stated below cover her current situation and only relate to the last few months. Essentially, we are comfortable with
the services provided to her at this time.

My husband is extremely happy at this care home. The staff treat the residents with care and attention. Very pleasant with the relatives and visitors. The home is clean and tidy with a lovely outlook.

Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2019

As the Home Manager at The Pines Care Home, I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of residential and nursing care for up to 40 residents.


I began my nursing career in South Africa where I trained in a large university training hospital. It was a fantastic experience that helped me develop the skills and experience that formed the foundation of my nursing career. Ten years ago, I relocated to the United Kingdom where I worked as a nurse and then as a Nursing Home Manager.


I have a wide range of experience across multiple areas including: Apheresis, Midwifery, Mental Health and Community nursing. Care of the elderly has always been a field of care I enjoy and have gravitated towards, a natural fit for me.


I love getting to know each of our residents, their stories and experiences, and I feel a great sense of satisfaction when I know our team has done everything possible and have managed to make a positive difference in enhancing our resident’s wellbeing.


The team at The Pines is dynamic and diverse and we all strive to provide the best care. Every team member is valued, and we support each other in everything we do. We are open, honest, and respectful and we treat our residents with dignity.
