It is comforting to know that my sister is well cared for at The Pines. The facility is peaceful with pleasant garden/patio areas. All of the staff are attentive and patient. The food is of high quality. There are fun activities for residents to look forward to. Thank you for all you do.

The resident needs a lot of attention and demanding but all the staff are very patient and kind. I'm only here for a week and exhausted, I cannot imagine the daily ritual the staff endure! Actually, they are all better than excellent and we would never be able to thank them enough.

To be at The Pines Nursing Home was like being in a home away from home! I was always happy in this nursing home, I met a lot of people and took part in many activities. The carers met all my needs and breezed in and out of my room with cups of tea/coffee. I could eat in my room or the dining room - wherever I wanted and the food was excellent. I put on weight at The Pines! No one was ever cross with me.

My family, my friends and I are so happy that my wife is a resident in this excellent home, The Pines. The staff, from top to bottom are so friendly. They are so caring with the residents which makes us all so comfortable. The home is very clean, bright and airy. Each day we visitors are welcomed to the door by happy and smiling staff. This proves that they are looking after our loved ones with care and love. They keep the residents and their rooms clean. The food, well it cannot get better - healthy meals. My wife cleans the lot.

From the outset, the management and all the care staff were friendly and reassuring. They were professional and easy to talk to at all times either in person or by phone. My mother was always clean, and comfortable and said her needs were all met. Myself and my family were happy when we visited, that there was a very safe and caring environment to support my mother in what was to be the last three months of her life. I feel blessed that she went to her final resting place feeling safe and able to live with dignity. My thanks to all the staff who work in a loving manner.

My much-loved mother has now been a resident at The Pines for just over two years. During that time, the staff cared for her as though she is their own mother. She loves her nurses/carers and all the staff she comes into contact with. She has complex needs, and at 95, and needs a lot of care and attention, and the staff are always cheerful and ensure that she gets the best possible care and is made as comfortable as possible. The home has a lovely, warm and cosy atmosphere, and I am so grateful for the excellent care my mother is receiving there.

Following a hip replacement operation, I wanted to be sure of a safe and relaxing environment in which to recuperate. I spent a month at the Pines which proved to be exactly the right decision. The facilities were adapted to my needs, the nursing staff were responsive with ongoing care such as changing dressings and with dealing with an attack of chronic constipation. All the staff were welcoming and cheerful and my access to a garden was idyllic and greatly aided my return to mobility.

My dad went into "The Pines" from another home - so he could be nearer to my sister and I. Sadly, he went into a home after his wife passed suddenly. He was treated like a king through his stay, and he had the top care, respect and all the staff spoke to him. This was also continued with our family. Words can't say "thank you" enough - they are terrific.

Our mother-in-law visited The Pines for some respite - early-onset dementia and depression. She really wanted some company with other older people, which she got. She was really welcomed and settled after a few days. All the staff were very kind and considerate and couldn't do enough for her. We could visits outside with out dog! Big bonus. Thank you.

As an interim between hospital and home (I am recovering from long Covid), The Pines could not have been better. The staff work as a happy and professional team. At all times, treating me with dignity whilst making me feel secure safe and special. The 24-hour service was genuine, I felt no fault in calling for help in the early hours. I am still walking with difficulty, and it was very reassuring to know that had I needed it, help would have been immediately available from trained staff. Very possibly somewhere to retire to in later years.

I can not say enough about just how amazing, caring and loving staff at Pines Putney have been over the last 10 months of my friend's life. Her end of life was done with so much dignity and sensibility.

I feel that I do need to single out the manageress who is doing an unbelievably challenging job so well and in spite of the pandemic. The management, nurses and all the other lovely staff.

Thank you so much.

Everyone at The Pines have made our experience a good one. Dad was very ill when he arrived, but with the excellent care and attention of all concerned involved with his care and needs, he has gotten so much better. Staff are all friendly and caring, easy to get along with, from the kitchen to the carers and management especially. The manager is very intuitive and pragmatic, the nurses are professional. So only good things to say.

My mother arrived at The Pines after a 6-week hospital stay to receive end of life care. She had had a rough 18 months and her last 6 weeks of life spent at The Pines was all I could have asked for as a daughter. She visibly relaxed when she arrived and was carried to a warm, cosy and comfortable room. The care home manager, the nurses, the nursing assistants and the cleaners/helpers were all exceptionally kind, professional and skilled. I cannot recommend The Pines more highly.

Since our arrival at The Pines, many things have changed. All the staff seem more friendly and more communicative. Everyone seems happier, residents and staff. Decoration is being carried out and the manager, in particular, is interested and effectual in everything discussed. I see a huge change in the whole home.

My mother was offered a room with palliative care. She had come through Charing Cross Hospital. She was at The Pines for six weeks and died there. The care was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. From the nursing staff to the care assistants to the ancillary staff, all were excellent and caring. They kept an eye on her at all times, filled in a file regularly and offered friends and family cups of tea to keep us going. We were able to visit whenever we wanted. In the last few days, we were offered mattresses to sleep in the room alongside our mother. The GP care from the local surgery was thorough, considerate and good. At all times, we were informed as to my mother's condition as it changed (deteriorated). There was enormous respect shown and her dignity was kept in mind by all at all times. The cleanliness was superb. She had a priest summoned when she needed this support. During such a painful time she and we were supported totally.

As the Home Manager at The Pines Care Home, I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of residential and nursing care for up to 40 residents.

I began my nursing career in South Africa where I trained in a large university training hospital. It was a fantastic experience that helped me develop the skills and experience that formed the foundation of my nursing career. Ten years ago, I relocated to the United Kingdom where I worked as a nurse and then as a Nursing Home Manager.

I have a wide range of experience across multiple areas including: Apheresis, Midwifery, Mental Health and Community nursing. Care of the elderly has always been a field of care I enjoy and have gravitated towards, a natural fit for me.

I love getting to know each of our residents, their stories and experiences, and I feel a great sense of satisfaction when I know our team has done everything possible and have managed to make a positive difference in enhancing our resident’s wellbeing.

The team at The Pines is dynamic and diverse and we all strive to provide the best care. Every team member is valued, and we support each other in everything we do. We are open, honest, and respectful and we treat our residents with dignity.
