Providing support for residents in a comfortable and tranquil environment, The Pines offers a variety of outdoor quiet areas through elegant and inviting grounds. The grounds offer a sense of peace and quiet to visitors and residents throughout the year. Corridors are bright and airy and the main lounge and dining areas are spacious and comfortable.

I am so pleased with the care my uncle has been receiving. He is looking much better since getting Covid. The staff do an excellent job caring for my uncle. He seems settled and comfortable. I want to commend the staff at The Pines Nursing Home.

My dad went into "The Pines" from another home - so he could be nearer to my sister and I. Sadly, he went into a home after his wife passed suddenly. He was treated like a king through his stay, and he had the top care, respect and all the staff spoke to him. This was also continued with our family.
Words can't say "thank you" enough - they are terrific.

Our mother-in-law visited The Pines for some respite - early-onset dementia and depression. She really wanted some company with other older people, which she got. She was really welcomed and settled after a few days. All the staff were very kind and considerate and couldn't do enough for her. We could
visits outside with out dog! Big bonus. Thank you.

From the moment my father entered The Pines, I could tell he was going to be very well cared for. The manager is fantastic, as is her incredible team. My father was treated with dignity and respect, and as a son, that is what we hoped for. I would definitely recommend The Pines.

All staff are personal and friendly. I was at the home for a week of convalescence. It was during Covid time, so was unable to its all the facilities, but found my stay very restful and helpful for my recovery from a stay in hospital.

As an interim between hospital and home (I am recovering from long Covid), The Pines could not have been better. The staff work as a happy and professional team. At all times, treating me with dignity whilst making me feel secure safe and special. The 24-hour service was genuine, I felt no fault in
calling for help in the early hours. I am still walking with difficulty, and it was very reassuring to know that had I needed it, help would have been immediately available from trained staff. Very possibly somewhere to retire to in later years.

I can not say enough about just how amazing, caring and loving staff at Pines Putney have been over the last 10 months of my friend's life. Her end of life was done with so much dignity and sensibility.


I feel that I do need to single out the manageress who is doing an unbelievably challenging job

so well and in spite of the pandemic. The management, nurses and all the other lovely staff.

Everyone at The Pines have made our experience a good one. Dad was very ill when he arrived, but with the excellent care and attention of all concerned involved with his care and needs, he has gotten so much better. Staff are all friendly and caring, easy to get along with, from the kitchen to the carers
and management especially. The manager is very intuitive and pragmatic, the nurses are professional. So only good things to say.

My mother arrived at The Pines after a 6-week hospital stay to receive end of life care. She had had a rough 18 months and her last 6 weeks of life spent at The Pines was all I could have asked for as a daughter. She visibly relaxed when she arrived and was carried to a warm, cosy and comfortable room.
The care home manager, the nurses, the nursing assistants and the cleaners/helpers were all exceptionally kind, professional and skilled. I cannot recommend The Pines more highly.

Since our arrival at The Pines, many things have changed. All the staff seem more friendly and more communicative. Everyone seems happier, residents and staff. Decoration is being carried out and the manager, in particular, is interested and effectual in everything discussed. I see a huge change in

My mother was offered a room with palliative care. She had come through Charing Cross Hospital. She was at The Pines for six weeks and died there. The care was exemplary. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. From the nursing staff to the care assistants to the ancillary staff, all were excellent
and caring. They kept an eye on her at all times, filled in a file regularly and offered friends and family cups of tea to keep us going. We were able to visit whenever we wanted. In the last few days, we were offered mattresses to sleep in the room alongside our mother. The GP care from the local surgery was thorough, considerate and good. At all times, we were informed as to my mother's condition as it changed (deteriorated). There was enormous respect shown and her dignity was kept in mind by all at all times. The cleanliness was superb. She had a priest summoned when she needed this support. During such a painful time she and we were supported totally.

This was a good place for Mum to recover from surgery. The staff were all great. The only concern was the constant breakdown of lifts and hot water.

Food is excellent but breakfast tray is not quite big enough. Laundry service is excellent and the majority of staff are very kind and efficient. Hot water has not come on from my taps on three separate occasions since I moved in.

My father came to The Pines after a series of falls and the onset of various medical conditions which were hard to manage at home. Every single member of staff at The Pines has been kind, caring and considerate towards him. My sister and I feel incredibly grateful to have found this lovely care home.
The house is warm and inviting and he feels comfortable and safe here. The food is also first class. We could not have asked for more.

I was extremely anxious the day I walked into The Pines. My wonderful anut was going to die and could not come home, this was going to be where she would spend her last days.
Thank you to all at The Pines, you were gentle, compassionate, and gave her dignity and peace.

The staff are kind and caring and the food is very good. My mother's room is very pleasant with a lovely view. The home is very clean. My mother is not able to take part in the activities in the lounge.

I find most (but not all) of the staff extremely pleasant and helpful and the home is very clean. However, there is often an unacceptably long delay when my mother rings the bell for assistance. Also, the building requires to be upgraded - My mother's room needs a fresh coat of paint and new curtains
and her bathroom is not fit for purpose and appears to be used as a dumping ground for supplies. The gardens are not well maintained and indeed the footpaths are dangerous.

My mother is well looked after in every respect. Although of severely limited capacities she appreciates regular attention and support provided in various aspects. Staff members are kind, attentive and knowledgeable. I and a few other visitors come regularly to see my mother and we are courteously received
on each occasion. Communication is efficient between care home staff and me as the main representative. We appreciate the many and varied qualities of The Pines Care Home and its staff very much.

As the Home Manager at The Pines Care Home, I lead a professional team in providing the highest standards of residential and nursing care for up to 40 residents.


I began my nursing career in South Africa where I trained in a large university training hospital. It was a fantastic experience that helped me develop the skills and experience that formed the foundation of my nursing career. Ten years ago, I relocated to the United Kingdom where I worked as a nurse and then as a Nursing Home Manager.


I have a wide range of experience across multiple areas including: Apheresis, Midwifery, Mental Health and Community nursing. Care of the elderly has always been a field of care I enjoy and have gravitated towards, a natural fit for me.


I love getting to know each of our residents, their stories and experiences, and I feel a great sense of satisfaction when I know our team has done everything possible and have managed to make a positive difference in enhancing our resident’s wellbeing.


The team at The Pines is dynamic and diverse and we all strive to provide the best care. Every team member is valued, and we support each other in everything we do. We are open, honest, and respectful and we treat our residents with dignity.
