Latham Lodge Nursing and Residential Care Home

My mum arrived here on the 28th May 2026. After being moved from a previous nursing home. So far I am so pleased that my mum moved here. The Staff have been so kind and very understanding. It does make such a difference for my own mental Health. Thankful.

My dad entered the home 4 weeks ago, his room is very good. I must say, the staff and management are very approachable and very welcoming. The care he is receiving is good and with a smile. Overall I am most pleased.

The care home looked after my mum during a period of convalescence, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Every member of staff we met were friendly, compassionate and genuinely committed to her comfort. Knowing that her medication was handled with such professionalism meant we had no worries at all while she was there. We are extremely thankful for the support and care she received.

It has been a year now since I was first admitted into Latham Lodge Nursing and Residential Home and I would like to say that I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay since then. I have found the overall experience excellent with staff being extremely friendly and respectful at all times.

Despite his frequently expressed contentment, I would occasionally apply a test by asking whether if he would like to transfer to a top notch care home, his replies were consistent & final " Why would I want to leave here these people are kind, friendly & attentive to my every need", says it all !

Up until last year when my cousin passed away July 2025, I just visited aunt, after that date I had to look after her at the home, making sure she was looked after, which she was. The staff at the home were very caring not only to my aunt at our sad time but also helped me in every way they could very, I would highly recommend Latham Lodge Care Home. When my aunt sadly passed in March 2025 they were very professional. I couldn't ask for more help. Thank you to all your staff x

Mum went into respite for two weeks, came home for a week and has now gone back permanently. She always says 'everyone is lovely'.

My late mum was transferred here from hospital where she passed away after a week approx. The whole process was a struggle however we were in good hands with the manager who went above and beyond to help us all, the staff were all professional and very helpful and took care of mum.

My brother-in-law was moved from a hospice down to Latham Lodge. His room was like being in his own home, all the staff from cooks, cleaners, carers, nurses and managers were the most caring, compassionate and professional people we have ever met. Nothing was ever too much trouble and made my brother-in-law's passing peaceful and as pain-free as possible. I can't praise all the staff enough. Keep up all your good work.

Latham Lodge looked after my Nana so well at the end of her life. She was so happy there in the 18 months that she was a resident. The staff was so incredibly kind to our whole family, and at the very end, they looked after us as part of their 'Latham Lodge family'.

After what I can only describe as a difficult time in the local hospital, we discovered a flock of angels that came to our rescue at Latham Lodge. From the moment our relative arrived, he was welcomed with open arms by everyone. We visited shortly afterwards and we were welcomed and supported in the same way. Everything to care for our relative was put in place straight away including a special pureed diet, airflow mattress medication and personal care. His room was very clean and bright and we were able to personalize it with photographs and pictures from his home. He settled well and was extremely happy. The support and friendship our family was given was second to none. Unfortunately, our relative took a turn for the worse and even then we were supported day and night in what was a very stressful and emotional time. His end-of-life care was given with utmost compassion. We will never forget their kindness.

My mother and father were both in Latham Lodge and I can't speak more highly of their care. In fact, my dad spent his last seven months happy after two years of hell with home carers and hospital. Many thanks.

From the moment my father moved into this care home, his overall well-being and health improved greatly since leaving hospital which was a dreadful experience and they should be ashamed of themselves. They made my father's health worse. But Latham Lodge gave my father a good quality of life and he turned a corner to better health. He also had his first dinner in 6 years because the chef was able to accommodate his chewing difficulties. Thank you!

Placing a parent in a care home is emotional and stressful. Is the parent going to be treated with dignity and cared for - fed and looked after? As soon as you go into Latham House - all of those questions are answered - you can feel the warmth and care immediately. The staff from management down are genuine in their attention and care - Mum was happy and was looked after - so much so that she is already planning to return for another respite. Well done Latham House!

The manager and staff at Latham Lodge are amazing. My mother-in-law was moved here from hospital after a fall and the care they gave was formidable. They definitely had to think outside the box to get her stimulated and were very resourceful with some creative ideas. We were extremely happy with the care she received whilst here and she was extremely upset to find she would have to leave as she loved being there and thought the staff were wonderful.

My dad is on end-of-life care and Latham Lodge has been absolutely fantastic. They are extremely supportive of our dad and all of his family. The care here is phenomenal. I have never experienced such a supportive and caring care home. Thank you to Latham Lodge.

Dad was sent to Latham Lodge from the hospital. It was for an assessment, only to find out he was end of life. He was in the hospital since December 22 and in other places, but no one told us until he was here. They looked after Dad very well and the family too. We can't thank them enough for keeping us informed and the care right up to his last day.

I would like to thank all the staff at Latham Lodge from the manager to all the staff there for their professional care and compassion shown to my brother on his end-of-life journey. The building and accommodation are dated but the care is what you would want for a member of your family.

My experience has been very pleasant. The staff have been very helpful. Food has been good and there is a very pleasant atmosphere.
