Our weekly fees are individual to each of our residents and are subject to a pre-admission assessment, which is required to understand the level of care and support needed. Our 2025 weekly care fees for residential care start from £1179 but may be in the region of 30% more*. This depends on your care needs and the type of bedroom that is right for you, from our standard rooms through to our premium bedroom options.
*If you require more specialist care such as 1-2-1 support, your weekly fee could be higher.

Michelle first started with Sanctuary in 1999 as a bank care assistant and has worked her way up to Deputy Manager and now Home Manager.
She loves working at Shaftesbury House as it's very rewarding, with the diverse client group, and it is such a friendly, caring home.
I first started at Shaftesbury House as a domestic assistant and became the maintenance man in 2021. I enjoy the variety in my role, and of course, helping others.
Judith started with us as a care assistant in 2004 and loves the vibrant team and how everyone works well together and with the residents.
Emma is so devoted to Shaftesbury House, having worked here since 2008. She started as a carer and progressed to team leader and deputy manager, a role she absolutely loves.

Alison used to be a graphic designer, so her arts and crafts sessions are always a hit with her residents.
She loves to organise wonderful group activities, like live music and trips out, as well as bespoke activities based on what her residents love to do.
I absolutely love my job and I love seeing the residents happy with my food.
Good nutrition is such a big part of mealtimes, which are the most important part of the day for many residents.
They look forward to sitting down in the dining room together, it’s the social aspect of it. If they have a good meal in front of them, they will talk about it with each other.
I love baking, baking is my forte and when it’s a resident’s birthday I always try to think of something special for their cake.
I love coming to work and am motivated to always be better for the residents.
