My friend has been living at Spring Lodge for a year. I visit her weekly. Spring Lodge is a very homely but efficient run home. The carers and office staff are encouraging and kind. Everyone is treated with respect. The buildings and gardens are very nice.

Following hospitalisation for kidney problems, staff at Spring Lodge agreed to my request that he be returned there as he had been so well cared for previously. Though not a nursing home, they accepted responsibility for his comfort and quality of life during his anticipated three-month period of palliative
care. The hospital staff arranged for appropriate medication to be accessible quickly as needed. He died peacefully some thirteen weeks later.

I have visited my friend who has lived in Spring Lodge for a couple of years now since he moved in. I have always found the home to be very clean and tidy. The home is very good at providing things to do for the residents. The staff are always friendly and professional. I would have no hesitation in

My wife has been with you for three years now. In that time, she has been well looked after. When I visit, she is always clean and tidy, as is the home. The staff are very good and, whilst she doesn't know me, she responds well to the staff, who always have time for her. I am kept informed of any changes
to her medication, no matter how small. The activities are also good. The food and the menu are excellent. Keep up the good work.

My wife was installed on the 16th November 2020 and I have been visiting her every other day since that time (over four hundred visits). During the earlier times the management was changed several times and, although the staff were very kind to her, there was a sense of lack of leadership. This situation
has changed for the better and since the new manager has taken over I have observed a great improvement in all areas and I do feel my wife is very well looked after by a well-led and dedicated team.

Mum has been here for over two years and is very happy here, as are we, as we know she is well cared for. Lovely, clean areas with a nice conservatory overlooking a nice garden. Staff always contact us when needed.

Mam has been here for three years and has settled in very well. The staff are extremely caring, and the manager is very hands-on. All the rooms are nice, clean and spacious. Our step-dad passed away at Christmas, the home called us all as soon as the doctor has been, we were helped no end, nothing was
too much trouble, and all was done to support us. The chef is brilliant too, and there are plenty of activities and friendly staff.

September 17th 2017 my mum arrived at Spring Lodge, and within 30 minutes she said to me you can go now dear (a relief). Over the next four years, she had the best service and support, as did I. First manager was first class, and the others up to one particular manager was rubbish. Now things changed,
the whole place feels happier and smells better too. Staff brilliant. I called Mum every night, staff always helpful and understanding. Nothing was ever too much. I thank all your staff, they have been great.

Spring Lodge is an amazing care home. On Saturday, they had a wonderful dog show for the residents, which my mother-in-law loved. Today she is out on a boat trip too. Everyone there is very kind, and the new manager is fantastic - friendly, approachable and visible! We can't say anything but good things
about Spring Lodge. The care my mother-in-law has received has been excellent. She has a better social life than us!

Since my mum has been here, she is very well in herself and is eating well. The carers I've spoken to are very nice. Mums go two favourites. Mum says she doesn't like it here, but that's part of her dementia, I guess.

Mother was hospitalised after a fall at her home and was not fit to manage herself. She has been cared for at Spring Lodge for 22-months, a period dominated by Covid. We were impressed at the safety procedures through this difficult period and excellent "Zoom" meetings when visits were proscribed. We
have encountered genuine care and support for Mum throughout and rapid medical response when appropriate.

I found the carers and the current manager kind and very accommodating, especially in times of Covid. They followed all the guidelines given and even put on a birthday party with a fabulous cake and a picnic for my mothers birthday outside so we could celebrate with her. My mother passed away recently,
and the home gave us all time and space to be with her when she passed. My mother was very happy at Spring Lodge, and the staff were a delight.

Today, I and my family were provided with a wonderful opportunity to visit our mother at Spring Lodge. Six of us were able to celebrate mum's birthday with a wonderful picnic spread and the most delicious birthday cake outside in the garden.


It was a lovely afternoon, and so good to see Mum outside

getting fresh air, family and the staff were wonderful. My mum's favourite carer came out and chatted with us.


I really can not fault the care that Mum receives at Spring Lodge. She is safe, warm and loved.

Cannot praise the staff and environment enough! My mother suffered a traumatic relocation to Suffolk and into residential care. Huge changes for an elderly person in the midst of Covid. Staff have been patient and so caring, with family as well as her! It’s such a pleasure to see her supported properly
with dignity and respect. Staff show an interest in her life and encourage her to socialise. We look forward to visits as restrictions ease and know how welcome we will be.

Great staff and facilities, they look after my father extremely well. They have gone above and beyond during the pandemic - safe visiting area and loads for my father to do each week. They have catered for his needs which we couldn't due to his Dementia.

I have recommended Spring Lodge to friends and family if they are looking for a well run, friendly, well organised and clean care home for their loved ones. I have also recommended the home to friends and family looking for jobs in care homes. All the staff are lovely and take great care to ensure residents
have plenty of entertainment and social interaction; and take time to ensure they are safe and secure and to talk to them. In these difficult times, the home has kept us fully informed at all times and I would like to thank everyone for their hard work and dedication.

My name is Samantha Davis, and I have been a Nurse for almost 20 years now and have spent most of my career working in the elderly care sector; working within management roles for 8 years, I find this extremely fulfilling and rewarding. Working as the Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead at Spring Lodge since September 2023, I feel there is a great team, and I thoroughly enjoy working with them all. I have a passion for person-centred care and am enthusiastic about promoting this throughout the home; I believe in providing a holistic approach to care and am looking forward to working with the caring staff already established at Spring Lodge to embed this further.

Person-centred care is important to me as it allows us to provide safe and holistic care for that individual and improve outcomes. I previously was one of the nursing staff at Spring Lodge and enjoyed my role here, being able to provide residents with person-centred and holistic care.
