I am very happy with Spring Lodge care home. They do an amazing job and look after my mum very well. The only complaint I have is that they do not contact me when anything changes or anything happens to my mum. They always contact my brother and he doesn't tell me anything because we don't get on. I've
asked the home on several occasions to phone me when something happens but they don't. Other than that I am very happy.

Since dad started showing signs of Vascular Dementia and Alzheimer's, Spring Lodge care home has been absolutely amazing in giving him back his dignity and quality of life in a welcoming and safe care home environment. My brother and I are thankful every day for the wonderful staff and excellent care
dad receives. As I live abroad, it is essential to know dad is safe and happy.

I love this home, I am treated with respect and dignity. The manager has a gentle soul and always takes the time to speak to everyone.

Staff always give dignity to my mother. On all of my visits, the staff seem to treat all residents well and ask visitors if there is anything we would like to bring to their attention.

Our mother has been in Spring lodge for approximately 15 months.


We have nothing but praise and thanks for the care and support given to our mother.


The staff go the extra mile every day and try to make the residents' lives enjoyable and fun with lots of activities and visits to nearby places

when suitable.


Our mother feels safe and well cared for and her mental well being has improved dramatically since living there.


Well done to everyone who works there and keep up the good work.

The staff are caring and friendly, since moving into the home my aunt's health has improved greatly, she has even managed to put on some weight. My aunt has settled really well and is very happy and comfortable, making some new friends. Our family no longer worry about her wellbeing as she is happy,
well fed, clean and no longer cold and frightened of being alone.

Mum has been in Spring Lodge for around 9 months so far. The care she receives is superb. She is not the easiest of people but all the staff are very upbeat about her. The compassion, care, food and general care is by far way above her respite care home that was supposed to be 5 star. Whenever I visit
Mum, whatever time of day, she is clean and well fed. Her bed linen changed regularly and all staff on duty have a chat and make me feel welcome. Fantastic place.

Spring Lodge staff are caring and have a genuine interest in the residents.
Pleasant, cheerful atmosphere when you visit.
Communication with relatives has improved recently regarding what is going on in the home and the direction it is taking. Would be good if relatives were included more in a resident's
care and care plan.

My mum has been living at Spring Lodge for the last year and we are very happy with the carers who are all very patient, friendly and caring, they make the effort to get to know the relatives. They always know where all the residents are when you arrive and are aware of what your relative has been doing
and how they are in themselves.
The recently appointed manager and his deputy have an open door policy and always have time to listen and discuss any concerns however minor and will resolve any issues, nothing is too much trouble.
There is always an activity taking place and the residents are encouraged to take part but left to their own devices if that is their preference. The coordinators are friendly and patient and constantly arrange topical events and there is always a great atmosphere.
The food is always good and the kitchen staff and housekeepers do a fantastic job and are also great with the residents and relatives too.

My mother has been at Spring Lodge for nearly 3 years and every time I visit I come away feeling she is in good hands and being cared for properly. The staff are always pleasant and amazingly patient despite all the demands and pressures put on them.


Despite several changes of managers, the health

and safety needs of mother have always been met. Now with the right new manager in place, a renewed focus on extracurricular activities seems to be emerging - see the latest newsletter as an example. Arranging all these takes time and effort, but for the residents, I'm sure this is what makes the difference.

I visited my relative at Spring Lodge recently, and I can say that I had the most amazing experience ever. I was received very politely by the home manager and even offered a cup of tea on my arrival by members of staff. My relative is well looked after and I couldn't wish for better. The home manager
is the most approachable person I have ever met - very polite and caring. All the staff seemed happy and enjoying their work and most of all very professional.


I definitely recommend Spring Lodge. Congratulations for such an amazing team.

My name is Samantha Davis, and I have been a Nurse for almost 20 years now and have spent most of my career working in the elderly care sector; working within management roles for 8 years, I find this extremely fulfilling and rewarding. Working as the Deputy Manager/Clinical Lead at Spring Lodge since September 2023, I feel there is a great team, and I thoroughly enjoy working with them all. I have a passion for person-centred care and am enthusiastic about promoting this throughout the home; I believe in providing a holistic approach to care and am looking forward to working with the caring staff already established at Spring Lodge to embed this further.

Person-centred care is important to me as it allows us to provide safe and holistic care for that individual and improve outcomes. I previously was one of the nursing staff at Spring Lodge and enjoyed my role here, being able to provide residents with person-centred and holistic care.
