We were reluctant to let my mum in law go into a home, but we couldn’t have made a better choice. Although it was during covid and we were not able to visit personally, the manageress showed us around on a video call. We also had other people recommended Bernash Carwe Home whom had previously had a resident there. Cannot believe how well my mum in law settled in. Very happy with the staff and it has such a relaxed atmosphere there, would highly recommend Bernash, it is lovely and clean, residences looked after well, cannot ask for any more. Thank you all.

My mum has recently moved into Bernash Care Home after her dementia worsened and unfortunately she could no longer manage living on her own. I must say it was a very difficult decision to make but all the fantastic staff at Bernash have gone above and beyond to make sure my mum is happy and settled in her new home. Although some visiting restrictions are still in place, we really enjoy visiting my mum at Bernash and we always receive a warm welcome from the friendly and very helpful staff. It is great peace of mind when we leave to know that my mum is being well looked after.

My grandmother has been a resident at Bernash since 2018. All the staff are brilliant and nothing is ever too much trouble, especially during the pandemic, they have all worked extremely hard to ensure all the residents are well looked after. The home is nicely decorated and very clean and has a very homely feel. The activities are brilliant and there is a lovely choice of meals each day. I would highly recommend Bernash to anyone who is looking for a care home for their loved one.

My mother-in-law has recently become a resident at Bernash. The manager and all the staff at Bernash have been fantastic in ensuring my mother-in-law is settling in and is happy. As a family, we are all really pleased with how she has settled in. Her bedroom is lovely and was newly decorated along with fresh new carpet just before she moved in. Bernash has a lovely homely feel and is nicely decorated and very clean throughout, although we can only visit in the conservatory at present, we previously had a virtual tour and the whole home looks lovely. The activities look great fun and they often have themed events and afternoon teas. We are so happy that we chose Bernash for my mother-in-law after hearing so many great things and we have such great peace of mind knowing that she is being so well looked after.

Although restricted to the accessibility of the building due to the current situation of Covid 19 I find the help and the assistance of the staff is 100%, with their help and care given to all residents and visitors. I admire the resilience of the staff in dealing with situations that on occasion are difficult and stressful, I wish them all the best for their future occupational progress. Take care.

Mum entered Bernash with dementia in January 2021. The constant care and compassion they show not only mum, but all the residents on a daily basis, especially during the covid pandemic. They went over and above what I ever could have expected, and for mum her days in their care are always full of laughter and happiness, which in mums circumstances is all we could really have hoped for. The best thing I could say is if I ever need care, Bernash is where I’d want to be.

We were really very sad when we had to admit we could no longer care for Dad in his own home. So it was a very hard decision to look for a care home for him. But at Bernash they have helped him settle in so quickly and are so caring and thoughtful it has put our minds at rest to know he's well looked after and safe. The staff are all so friendly and always ready to answer any questions, I know we made the right choice.

Our nan lived with our family for many years after her diagnosis with dementia, and it was a really difficult decision for my mum and her siblings to put her into residential care, as she had been cared for, so closely, by them.
The staff at Bernash provided wonderful care for my nan, taking care of her needs, but also the simple things like making her hair look pretty.

I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a place for their loved ones.

It is a difficult thing to leave your mother in the care of others but the staff at Bernash were so kind and caring to mum and us as a family they were not strangers at all. They sent pictures of their activities, kept us up to date and were part of our family. They were quite wonderful. Thank you.

The care offered by the staff is outstanding. My nan was happy here, she may not have been able to express it with words, but her eyes were happy and she was relaxed. I'm grateful to the staff for looking after her so well and for always making me and my children feel so welcome, even when we were nervous or didn't know what to expect. The carers always made us feel at ease and made visits so easy, always willing to chat and offer help and guidance. They made what could have been very difficult feel very natural and easy.

For almost four years this wonderful care home has cared for my grandmother. The way they have cared, loved and given her the best care shows just what a wonderful care home they are. I don’t think anyone could have asked for anything better. I know it was a difficult choice to send my Nan into a nursing home for my mum and her siblings, but it was very evident within days of her entering the home and becoming a resident that she was given the greatest care.
The staff offered reassurance and support for my mum as she watched others care for my Nan. Which was so thoughtful and needed.

I am eternally grateful for the service they provided. Every day they showed just how high standard they offer and that each resident is a valued person. I wish I could personally speak to each and everyone who has cared for my Nan. You are angels that deserve the greatest praise for all that you do.

My mother lived with me and my family in our home for 17 years, and after her diagnosis six and a half years ago I was her only carer. Making the decision to put my mum's care, health, welfare and happiness into the hands of people I didn't know was heartbreaking and terrifying. Decision made, I then had to plan how to go about this transition causing the least stress possible to my mum, knowing she would never choose to leave my family. I discussed my plan with the manager at Bernash and she and all the staff supported my story. Everyone at this care home I feel have gone above and beyond to welcome and settle my mum. They took the time to read all the information I provided on caring for my mum. They have listened to what I had to say, they are warm, loving and caring people. The manager even took the time to care about how I was managing. I thank them all with all my heart and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to care for your loved one.
