I cannot recommend Penhill enough, the Managers and staff and incredibly friendly and nothing is to much trouble for the residents. During my Mums stay she was treated with dignity and respect and interacted with all the other residents and staff. Additional benefits included entertainment days and outside companies being brought in for Easter fayre day.

Mum has just spent 2 weeks respite at Penhill, it really felt like home from home. Her room and all communal areas were spotlessly clean. The staff were all amazing, so kind and caring while looking over Mum's physical and mental needs. It was so nice after visiting Mum to leave knowing she was safe and well cared for. Thank you to all the staff at Penhill for helping us through a tough 2 weeks.

My Aunt has been a residence of Penhill Residential Home since 2025 and it has been a lovely experience so far. Good management, caring and amazing staffs, beautiful environment. It's a safe place to be and home away from home.

My Aunt has been a resident of Penhill for about 7 years. During this time her care has been excellent. The staff are always caring and compassionate and the home is spotlessly clean and welcoming. I live over 100 miles away so cannot visit as often as I would like but it is reassuring to know that my Aunt could not receive better care.
Your comments about the compassion of our staff and the clean, welcoming environment are very much...
The home is very welcoming, clean and cosy warm.
When I visit I usually stay and have lunch with my friend in the dining room. The menu is always varied and quite delicious. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home for a friend or family member.

Lovely friendly caring home. Dad recently in hospital and staff went to all lengths to accommodate his needs so that he could be discharged back home. Residents treated with kindness and respect. 100% recommend.

On all my visits to Penhill, I experience helpful members of staff who know the residents' needs well and meet them effectively. My mother-in-law was struggling at home after spending time in hospital after a fall. We knew that she couldn't return without support and was looking at getting in care, but a friend of mine recommended Penhill to me and said that it was like a home from home. Mum went in for a period of respite and decided that she wanted to stay, she said the food was amazing, the residents and staff are like an extended family and mum with support has her independence back and I haven't seen her this happy in years. The management and staff cannot do enough and we look forward to going in to visit mum and meeting her new friends. I cannot recommend Penhill enough.

The home is always clean, warm and welcoming and the staff are ever so friendly and professional.
I tend to stay for lunch in the dinning room area with the residents and staff. The food is always varied and no two days have ever been the same. It's an open kitchen so you can see the cooks in action which is good to see.
The home is well kept and my friend is very happy here. She has a circle of friends in the unit of which they like to play cards and board games.
The home is very close to local shops and there is a bus stop and train station within a few minutes walk.
Plenty of on street parking in a quiet area of Bristol but close enough to the motorways which I like, as I come in from Wales.
Well done to all the staff and home manager.

Staff are always pleasant, polite and helpful towards Mum, myself & family. Home is always clean, tidy and well kept. Home cooked meals are fantastic and Mum's dietary needs were always met. Excellent, kind, caring, thoughtful staff. Warm and welcoming. Worried about my dad but after first week was enjoying his stay. So good, my dad did not want to return home, so he didn't!

I found Penhill always, welcoming with activities, books, garden and always a willing ear from the staff if any concerns were raised. My cousin was very happy here and when she had to leave to go to a nursing home for mobility issues I realised how good Penhill really had been. Because it's quite small each resident gets attention and according to my cousin, the food was excellent.

There are daily activities and the staff go the extra mile to engage with all residents. There is also the sound of laughter from the staff which I feel shows a happy and supportive team.
The care Mum received at the end of her life was above and beyond with one member of staff regularly coming in on her days off to be with us and my Mum.
The family are always welcomed and I enjoyed chatting to all of them whilst having a cup of tea.
I would not hesitate to recommend Penhill to anyone looking for care for an older person or for themselves. It is a happy, safe, supported residential home.

We were recommended Penhill from a local GP friend, who said she would want to come here if she were ever in need of care. It is a small, caring and clean residential home, with kind staff who always offer me a cup of tea on arrival, to have with my friend. They have looked after my friend incredibly well and despite her needs increasing over the past two years, have gone the extra mile to accommodate her needs and make her feel like a real priority to them. Penhill has such a wonderful family feel to it, we knew almost immediately it was the right move for her, which was a huge relief, having moved someone who had lived in her own home until she was over 90. I feel totally confident they will look after her with the care and respect she deserves.
Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a review, it means a great deal to us that your friend has found a caring and comfortable home with us, and that you feel confident in the level of care and respect she receives. Our staff takes immense pride in going that extra mile to make sure our...

The staff staff always try to do the very best for my friend, they are genuinely fond of her. The food is excellent. The staff are approachable. I am so glad that my friend is in this residential home.

The staff are always very helpful and kind. Home immaculately clean and excellent food. Also, lovely gardens. They are looking after my mum very well. She is looking better than she has done for some years.
