Stokeleigh is an attractive, late Victorian home that sits within its own secluded grounds, having been conscientiously extended to provide additional living space and a stylish conservatory. Elegant, yet warm and welcoming, the spacious accommodation at Stokeleigh has been thoughtfully redesigned, incorporating many original features to provide a safe, appealing and comfortable home for residents.

Stokeleigh benefits from strong management and committed team members, who ensure residents are not only safe and well cared for, but also happy and content. The trained, compassionate and caring team has created an exceptional residential care home that provides a full programme of activities, entertainment and outings to cater for everyone’s taste.

Stokeleigh comprises 28 en-suite bedrooms which are all newly decorated and fully furnished. All of them have a digital flat-screen TV, telephone point and 24-hour call bell system.

As well as benefitting from a hairdressing salon, access to video calling to stay in touch with friends and family along with an all inclusive laundry service, the home offers residents a very friendly and social setting with a cosy living area, spacious conservatory and a bright and airy dining room to enjoy fully inclusive homemade meals.

It's a quiet, peaceful location with a lovely garden. The manager and all staff are friendly, helpful and professional and create a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere. The house is also very clean and comfortable. I feel very lucky to have found this home for my dad, and I'm confident he is being well cared
for.

Gran has only been in for a short time, but she settled in exceptionally quickly, which I think is a credit to all the staff. Every visit that we have made, all staff are so welcoming and friendly, to the point of offering lunch at mealtimes! The use of colour around the home is good, and the garden
is wonderful, especially the different areas, sitting fruit, veg and flowers.

My mother has settled so quickly into Stokeleigh, and that has been because the staff are so friendly and caring. Her room is warm and comfortable, and she has her pictures and some of her furniture in there to make it her own. Mum has been on a minibus trip into town and enjoyed a small glass of Irish
stout on St Patricks Day. Mum loves singing and having fun and still had a cheeky sense of humour, which the care staff all reciprocate to her delight!

My father sadly passed away at Stokeleigh from old age and dementia, but he was very well looked after and cared for by the team. They worked tirelessly over the pandemic and made sure my dad was safe and happy. When restrictions allowed, he enjoyed lovely activities and outings. The staff were always
upbeat and supportive and worked closely with me on all aspects of my dad's care. Nothing ever seemed too much, and whenever we had any questions, they always had time to talk things through and be there for us. Thank you, Stokeleigh.

My first impression of the home was how "homely" it is and genuine/friendly the staff are. The manager is very helpful, caring and this seems to set the high standard for all. It feels like a home, not an institution. Mum has dementia, so doesn't remember what she gets up to daily, but as the carers
post on their Facebook page with photos, I can see Mum joining in activities - such a reassuring feeling.

It is never going to be easy moving your husband to a care home, but the past weeks have been made so much easier and enjoyable by the staff at Stokeleigh. From the start, he was made to feel special, and every effort has been made to reassure, welcome me, and communicate with me. There is a relaxed,
happy and informal feel to Stokeleigh, with lots of fun, and a team of amazing workers who are clearly supported by strong leadership.

My mother has been in Stokeleigh for two years and has been looked after well with compassion and care. The staff are all very good. Her dementia has gradually decreased her mobility, and she is not totally reliant on the care staff, who are excellent and caring as she has deteriorated.

Dad always says how happy he is to be here and how well looked after he is. I am never worried about his welfare and know he is in very good hands. He has a lovely room with views of the garden, and he enjoys the entertainment laid on, particularly the quizzes.

Stokeleigh management has been amazing in helping with Mums return from hospital after a fall. They helped assist us in getting extra care to support Mum in the isolation period on return. Even on the day of the fall, the staff stayed with Mum for four hours whilst waiting for the ambulance. So pleased
she's back in her safe, happy place. Also, I'm happy she's being cared for and looked after just how we would look after our own Mum. One gentleman has been great sorting staff and care, even coming in on their day off to assist the smooth transition back to Stokeleigh.

My mum, who has dementia, has been a resident at Stokeleigh for two and a half years. Stokeleigh appears to be well managed, and the staff seem very caring. The staff appear to be very conscientious regarding medical issues that residents have or develop.

The garden and conservatory and separate rooms to sit in, as well as the low number of residents, were what sold the home to us initially.
The staff care, support and family home feel of the care home has been what's made it a place to stay and lovely place to visit my mum in.
Only negative during
lockdown, they need more carer led group or individual activities - my mum is in need of more stimulation.

My mother has been a resident for four years. All this time the care has been outstanding in all aspects. The team has gone out of their way to maintain these standards in lockdown with covid19 and continue to give superb personal care. I have no doubt that their attention to details and compassion

The staff at Stokeleigh continue to provide a very caring, informal and friendly atmosphere for both the residents and their families. You have a real sense of “home” as soon as you enter the building. This is due to the leadership style of the manager, who ensures that this is the residents' home.
All staff, no matter what their role, spend time with the residents, some going beyond their role, which is very much appreciated by the families. Kindness is in abundance from many of the staff. Mother in law often shares brunch with a member of staff which she enjoys. Activities take place each day, which are varied, fun and creative. The activities coordinator takes time to find out individuals likes and enjoyments from their past and strives to place these into the activities. I am very grateful for the care, sensitivity, encouragement and fun times that are given to my mother in law. All relatives are made to feel very welcome and are also well supported.

Warm and friendly home from home for my mother. Enough space and rooms for Mum to move to for quieter times or if she wants company and to join in with the activities. The staff are friendly and helpful and willing to answer questions and chat about what has been going on. Lots of lovely activities
during the Christmas period for all to join in, parties, music, cheese and wine and a lovely Christmas lunch. The lovely chefs cook fresh meals daily and happy for us to visit the kitchen and chat about what's on the menu each day and accommodate dietary requirements and preferences.

With limited experience of care homes (two in detail), I've found Mum's residence excellent in all respects, with no concerns presented at all over two and a half years of residency. All staff consistently carry out their duties with respect, care and professionalism, often going beyond requirements.
They treat all residents as members of the family and the care home is a "home" in all respects.
