My Mum has been in this home for five years. I have had no concerns at all. They let me know if there any problems. I have peace of mind as I know she is safe and secure and would recommend it to anybody. The staff are conscientious and caring and thoughtful. 100% all the way.

I would recommend Manor Park Dementia Nursing Home to any family looking for a care home for a family member. My mother has been there for 5 years now and has been well cared for in all that time.

My dear late father came to Manor Park Care home when he needed end of life care. Despite how devastated we, as a family felt at the thought of losing one so special the staff at Manor were kind beyond words and thoughtful too. Nothing was too much trouble and my father was given so much care and attention
to ensure he had all he needed.
The family were looked after so well with cups of tea and offers of biscuits and a kind and professional attitude was adopted by all. The younger care assistants were unphased by our desperate sadness and tried to help wherever they could with a smile or a kind word which is such times is very much appreciated. The room was spotlessly clean and my father was regularly checked to ensure his total comfort and dignity to the end. When we finally lost our father we were given the time we needed to try to process what had happened and everything was clearly and gently explained to us. My thanks go to all the staff from nurses to caring assistants.

As an almost daily visitor, I have seen the Manor Park, Dementia Care Home in all sorts of conditions over 11 months. I have been welcomed and helped throughout by staff and management alike. I have made comparisons regularly with similar homes in the region and sought opinions of friends and organisations
but have found none to compare.

Manor Park provides a caring personal service for my Father who has Alzheimer's. They communicate any concerns and respond to mine quickly and appropriately. The facilities are clean, spacious and appropriate to provide stimulation and care for all stages of dementia. Dad couldn't be in a better place.

My wife has been here for nearly eight years now and I've seen the home change, completely, from general care to more individual care, with, I think great success. The staff, from many nationalities, are very good.

My Mum receives excellent care. She is always clean and looked after no matter what time I call in. Her room is clean and tidy, her hair is done regularly and all her personal needs are met. The food is plentiful and regular - I enjoyed the Christmas lunch! I am kept updated about appointments, medication
changes - everything. The staff are amazing - so patient and kind to all of us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Manor Park to anyone.

Current Review Score: 8.0 (7.960)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.0 (7.960) out of 10 for Manor Park Dementia Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.3 out of 5 from 5 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.7 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.291 for Manor Park Dementia Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (40 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) + (5 Poors x 2) + (4 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 55 Ratings = 4.291

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.669 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Manor Park Dementia Nursing Home is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 68 registered maximum number of service users is 13.6. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 13.6 = 0.294

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
