My Mum receives excellent care. She is always clean and looked after no matter what time I call in. Her room is clean and tidy, her hair is done regularly and all her personal needs are met. The food is plentiful and regular - I enjoyed the Christmas lunch! I am kept updated about appointments, medication
changes - everything. The staff are amazing - so patient and kind to all of us. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Manor Park to anyone.

My Mother moved here from another care home. She was happy almost as soon as she moved in and seemed far more relaxed. Due to the caring staff and management my mother has noticeably improved in her general health and her ulcered leg continues to heal. From the front door right through Manor Park there
is a relaxed, happy and loving atmosphere created by the dedicated staff.

A very impressive and beautifully decorated home. Excellent caring staff. Kind and considerate not only to residents but also to relatives. Good food- whatever residents fancies staff and chef will try best to accommodate. Excellent nursing care and cleanliness. An all round lovely atmosphere. I now
have no worries about my mother's welfare. She has everything she needs.

All the staff at Manor Park are totally devoted to looking after those in their care to the highest level. Sitting with mum I often overhear and see things that staff do on a regular basis, calling everyone by their name, asking them to choose their meal, ensuring they interact constantly by asking
if they would like a drink or biscuit etc. My mum is kept clean and fed with the most fantastic choices of food which I have seen. Just like many homes, dementia care has difficulty recruiting, I believe staff long to undertake more "activities" with their residents but sadly staffing issues are a constant stumbling block to delivering this- the staff and owners/managers are not to blame.

My dear mum was a resident in Manor Park after a stay in hospital. She had been suffering with alzheimer's for 10 years. We have been in contact with a lot of carers and agencies over the years and I can honestly say that Manor Park have wonderful staff who were always kind, caring and supportive to,
not only mum, but the whole family. Mum was extremely well cared for and always looked happy and nicely presented. I would have no hesitation in recommending Manor Park to friends and we would still keep mum a resident if she had sadly not passed away. Thank you to you all.

I have found the atmosphere, all staff and the actual home environment to be well above our expectations. Everything is so bright and airy, happy and friendly. The décor is so upbeat and colourful. All the staff, cooks, carers, managers, cleaners, maintenance staff go out of their way to speak to you
and get help if they cannot deal with an issue. My wife has shown an incredible improvement in her interaction with the staff any other residents. She is kept clean and tidy, the food is incredible and we have seen the lovely variety on offer. The summer room is mums base and the staff are superb with mum and all the residents, the atmosphere is always relaxed and happy.

From the first time my sister and I went to view Manor Park as a possibility for my step-fathers future care, we were impressed with the friendliness, care and compassion shown to the residents. We felt that this together with the professional care shown by the staff was the most important factor to
consider for his future.

My husband has been a resident in Manor Park Dementia Nursing Home since October 2012. I am very satisfied and happy with everything regarding the home. The best care home he's been a resident. The previous homes dementia care was dreadful.

Current Review Score: 8.5 (8.528)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.5 (8.528) out of 10 for Manor Park Dementia Nursing Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.5 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.0 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.487 for Manor Park Dementia Nursing Home is calculated as follows: ( (62 Excellents x 5) + (5 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) + (5 Poors x 2) + (4 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 78 Ratings = 4.487
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.041 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Manor Park Dementia Nursing Home is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 68 registered maximum number of service users is 13.6. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 13.6 = 0.441
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
