My Brother died in early May 2018 just 2 weeks after the diagnosis of terminal cancer. In the 3 years of his residence in Nashley House, he had come to call it 'my home'. The care he received was 'personalized'. The atmosphere was relaxed and comforting and I was welcomed as a visitor at almost any
time of the day - very helpful as I live a 4 1/2 hour drive away. Staff were always cheerful and positive, even in the face of great difficulties. Manager liaised well over illness and hospital visits and were readily available by phone. It was expected that my Brother would have to move from Nashley as his cancer got worse but it was so quick, he was too ill to be moved. Nashely committed to keep him in his own room and brought in all the extra nursing care required right to the end so he died peacefully in 'his home'. Nashley even provided a room for his Daughter (who lives abroad) to stay until he died. He could not have been in a better place for his final years.

I can highly recommend Nashley House. My Dad was fortunate to spend the last years of his life in this loving environment. At Nashley House it's not a care home - it's a very caring home and was a real home for my Dad. I spent the last four days of my Dad´s life with him at Nashley House and was overwhelmed
by the loving atmosphere created by every member of the staff in those hard days. Thank you for being there for my Dad and for all your support for my sister and me over the years and especially in the last weeks of his life. We both live abroad and were so relieved to know that Dad was in such good hands. He really enjoyed daily life at Nashley and always said how happy he was when we talked on the phone. What more can I say - such a stroke of luck for our family. All our thanks to the brilliant owners and their wonderful staff.

What can I say, the staff treated my sister with great care and respect especially the three months before she passed away. The manager and her staff went the extra mile making sure that my sister had all her favourite helpers taking care of her which made it a lot easier for the family.
With all the
scares about how some residents are treated, Nashley House is a good one to be in.

After my sister-in-law had enjoyed six happy years in Nashely House. Her health began to fail dramatically in August 2017. She was in and out of hospital and incredibly unwell but she never felt anything but loved and cared for by the staff of Nashley House. They made her last days as safe and comfortable
as they could and supported us, her family with great kindness and compassion. They were all stars.

My father was a resident here for 18 months before having to be moved to a nursing facility due to ill health. I have nothing but praise for Nashley House. Their standard of care is excellent and the greatest regard is given to the resident's welfare.
My father was extremely happy and comfortable here
and I would highly recommend the care home with its personal touch.
I am delighted my dad was able to be cared for here. With thanks.

Our family were lucky to find Nashley House. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always available to speak to, nothing is too much trouble. We could visit whenever we wished and were always welcomed with a tray of tea and biscuits. The staff went above and beyond towards the end treating my grandmother
like a member of their own family. Their end of life care was outstanding, treating her with the utmost dignity and respect. We cannot praise them enough or wish for a better place to care for my grandmother.

My brother and I found a place for our father at Nashley about three years ago, after several falls and worsening dementia left him unable to cope at home. Our mother also joined him there for several months before her passing. We couldn't have wished for a better place for them both in their last few
years. It's such a warm, homely and caring environment.
The staff are friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We could visit whenever we wished and were always warmly welcomed and looked after. A special mention needs to go to the owners, who have been incredibly supportive over the years, not only to our parents but to us as well. We honestly can't recommend Nashley highly enough. It's somewhere we would be happy to live in our later years.

We used Nashley House for respite care and then as a residential placement for my father. Lovely, caring staff who were fun and motivated by lots of people they supported. Always plenty of staff, lots of activities always involved family carers. An excellent management team who lead a person centred
staff team. They were really good when my dad was ill and gravely upset when he died earlier this year. I recommend them 100%!

In my opinion, this is a very good residential home, overall a very good standard. Improvements continue to be made by the new owners, with many residents who have been there many years. In our case, my mother's health deteriorates significantly, the management and staff were excellent in responding
to her needs. They gave her fantastic treatment and care over and above what you would expect from a residential home. She had severe dementia and was barely able to stand. The family are grateful.

What, above all, should a care home provide? The answer is in the title - care.
Nashley House can't be faulted here. But it goes more than the extra mile, not only does it provide peace of mind for relatives and friends but it is in the best sense, a real home.
There is no institutionalised atmosphere
here, but instead the overriding feeling of a safe and happy haven.
Over Christmas, it pulled out all the stops to ensure everyone had a memorable time. The carers are friends and treat those in their care with respect, never talking down to them.
Managers deserve accolades for their genuine humanity. Put simply, Nashley House runs on love.

Although my mum was only at Nashley House for a short time, she was well looked after in a lovely place full of friendly, caring and professional staff. Proprietors were always available to talk to at any time and full of great advice. I would not hesitate to recommend Nashley House, it is fantastic.

Excellent care and dedication by the team in all areas. Nothing is too much trouble. The owners are devoted and extremely skilled. Both are qualified nurses and play a large hand on the role each day within the home.


I had worked in NHS for the past 28 years and I am delighted with the care that

my mother receives, she loves it at Nashley House and the whole family are so thankful that we placed mum here, she has been a resident for almost four years.
It's reassuring to know that your loved one is in safe caring hands.

My mother at 94 years old was required to be moved from her home, where she was very happy, because of its closure. It speaks volumes for Nashley House that she was immediately happy there, felt "at home" and was very well treated. When her health deteriorated she was treated with great professional
skill and kindness and compassion. When mum passed away it was of great comfort to know she had been so well looked after. I would have no hesitation in recommending Nashley House and particularly the proprietors and staff to any potential residents.

Mum was a resident of Nashley House for 7 years. She enjoyed taking part in the many and varied activities and events organised by the home throughout her time there. She and her family were confident of her safety and well-being at all times. Managers and staff were always very friendly, approachable
and professional. Sadly due to Mum's deteriorating care needs she had to move from Nashley House into nursing care, all the team went above and beyond their remit to try to keep Mum, had it not been for her increasing care needs Mum would have remained at Nashley House for the remainder of her days.

My dad has spent 3 and a half years very happily at Nashley House. He has had to move due to his changing needs. I cannot praise Nashley enough.
You will see that I consider everything excellent and of the highest quality. Management and staff could not do enough for us and our family. They are so
friendly, helpful, caring, warm and welcoming and the home is lovely, clean and smells beautiful (very important!) Everyone is completely professional yet so lovely. We are so sad dad had to move, but fully understand why.

Wonderful, warm, welcoming and very special is how I would describe Nashley House and the fantastic staff and management that make the magic happen.


Mum is coming towards her first full year at Nashley and although she has difficult days coping with dementia she is very settled and at home there.


I

love is that there are always activities going on like keep fit, arts and crafts, bingo, guest performers and sing-a-long, speakers and gardening to name a few… Mum often apologises for not calling me “because she is just too busy!” which is music to my ears.


The management are wonderful and very approachable which is so important in my book. The care staff must love their jobs too because they are always smiling and although they are very busy always seem to make time for a quick chat with visitors which is a nice touch.

Mum in-law is 95, needed some respite/convalescence following a fortnight in hospital after kidney failure. Nashley House was recommended to me by a home which I have known intimately for decades but which had no vacant rooms at the time. Of course I checked out the reviews and CQC reports and Nashley
was very highly rated.


From the moment I rang to arrange the two week stay and received the welcoming and professional response, to the last day of mum's care when so many staff came to wish her well I could not have been more impressed in all respects!


The accommodation is great, staff are very caring, food amazing and professional support in terms of nursing, personal care, hairdressing etc. are spot on!


The owners are so visible, refreshingly engaging with residents and extremely approachable, it is obvious to me that these lovely people are dedicated and committed to providing the best environment for the residents in their care, very impressed! Thank you both so much.
