Nashley House catered for all my Dad's needs emotionally by sitting with him, reassuring when anxious etc. The food and activities kept his mind and body stimulated. Food was to his taste, if he didn't like what was offered he was asked what he would like and that was then made.

My father was a resident at Nashley House from March 2018 until November 2019. From the time he moved into this friendly, homely home, he was treated with care, comfort, dignity and respect from all the staff. It took Dad a while to adjust to this complete change in his life after moving from Plymouth to be closer to his family. After a few months, he found he had another family who also loved and cared for him - Nashley House. The home is spotless and welcoming. Dad passed away peacefully here in November 2019.

My mother was in Nashley House for 6 years until she passed away in August. Mum was well looked after by the kind staff and management. She was always dressed nicely and I was always welcomed. The manager and the carer were with mum when she passed away and reassured me that she went peacefully.

My grandmother has lived at Nashley House for 4 years.

The care she has received can be described as nothing less than outstanding.

The staff have gone above and beyond to support my grandma in all aspects of her life whilst at Nashley House and their care, compassion and professional knowledge is excellent.

The owners are wonderful, compassionate people who run the home in the best way possible and I couldn't thank them and their team enough for how they have cared for my grandma.

Our Mother has been resident at Nashley House for 5 years and the standard of care she has received has been outstanding. The managers and staff without exception are caring and professional. Our Mother has been treated with the utmost respect and we have been particularly impressed with the way they have treated her as an individual with her own specific needs and making it feel like her home. As a family, we have been kept informed every step of the way and are always made to feel welcome. We cannot recommend Nashley House highly enough and would like to thank the manager and all the staff for the care they have given our Mother and in making us feel secure that she is safe and well cared for at all times in what could have been a very stressful period in all our lives.

I always hear positive comments from anyone when they ask where mum is and I say she is in Nashley House. It is always very clean and always welcoming.

My mother went to live a Nashley due to inability to self-care at home because of increasing dementia. While she was still able she was encouraged to join in with numerous in-house activities and trips out to stimulate her interests and maintain her quality of life. The surroundings and facilities were always good and she enjoyed the lovely garden. Recent management changes have improved all aspects of the home, including the furnishings and daily routines. All the staff, at every level, have always been kind, considerate and extremely caring, looking after my mother's every need as he dementia progressed. A massive 'thank you' to everyone at Nashley! You are all doing an amazing job!

My father has been a resident of Nashley House since 8 June 2018 when he was placed there from hospital after a fall and from the moment he got there he has been very happy - so much so that he didn’t want to return to his own house and actually had a few tears of joy and relief when it was decided he could stay. He feels safe and comfortable and actually refers to Nashley House as his home. The management and staff are excellent and all so extremely caring, kind and friendly, not only to my father but to myself also - especially when I’ve found his illness a little hard to accept. They keep me informed of all that is going on with my father, his care and anything appertaining to the home. They are there with encouragement, help and advice whenever needed. There’s always a warm welcome and congenial atmosphere. There’s plenty of activities for all ranges of tastes and they are always striving to do the very best for the quality of life and wellbeing of their residents and are doing an excellent job.

Review from Keith J (Brother of Resident) published on 6 July 2018 Submitted via Postal Card

My Brother died in early May 2018 just 2 weeks after the diagnosis of terminal cancer. In the 3 years of his residence in Nashley House, he had come to call it 'my home'. The care he received was 'personalized'. The atmosphere was relaxed and comforting and I was welcomed as a visitor at almost any time of the day - very helpful as I live a 4 1/2 hour drive away. Staff were always cheerful and positive, even in the face of great difficulties. Manager liaised well over illness and hospital visits and were readily available by phone. It was expected that my Brother would have to move from Nashley as his cancer got worse but it was so quick, he was too ill to be moved. Nashely committed to keep him in his own room and brought in all the extra nursing care required right to the end so he died peacefully in 'his home'. Nashley even provided a room for his Daughter (who lives abroad) to stay until he died. He could not have been in a better place for his final years.

I can highly recommend Nashley House. My Dad was fortunate to spend the last years of his life in this loving environment. At Nashley House it's not a care home - it's a very caring home and was a real home for my Dad. I spent the last four days of my Dad´s life with him at Nashley House and was overwhelmed by the loving atmosphere created by every member of the staff in those hard days. Thank you for being there for my Dad and for all your support for my sister and me over the years and especially in the last weeks of his life. We both live abroad and were so relieved to know that Dad was in such good hands. He really enjoyed daily life at Nashley and always said how happy he was when we talked on the phone. What more can I say - such a stroke of luck for our family. All our thanks to the brilliant owners and their wonderful staff.

What can I say, the staff treated my sister with great care and respect especially the three months before she passed away. The manager and her staff went the extra mile making sure that my sister had all her favourite helpers taking care of her which made it a lot easier for the family.

With all the scares about how some residents are treated, Nashley House is a good one to be in.

After my sister-in-law had enjoyed six happy years in Nashely House. Her health began to fail dramatically in August 2017. She was in and out of hospital and incredibly unwell but she never felt anything but loved and cared for by the staff of Nashley House. They made her last days as safe and comfortable as they could and supported us, her family with great kindness and compassion. They were all stars.

My father was a resident here for 18 months before having to be moved to a nursing facility due to ill health. I have nothing but praise for Nashley House. Their standard of care is excellent and the greatest regard is given to the resident's welfare.
My father was extremely happy and comfortable here and I would highly recommend the care home with its personal touch.

I am delighted my dad was able to be cared for here. With thanks.

Our family were lucky to find Nashley House. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always available to speak to, nothing is too much trouble. We could visit whenever we wished and were always welcomed with a tray of tea and biscuits. The staff went above and beyond towards the end treating my grandmother like a member of their own family. Their end of life care was outstanding, treating her with the utmost dignity and respect. We cannot praise them enough or wish for a better place to care for my grandmother.

My brother and I found a place for our father at Nashley about three years ago, after several falls and worsening dementia left him unable to cope at home. Our mother also joined him there for several months before her passing. We couldn't have wished for a better place for them both in their last few years. It's such a warm, homely and caring environment.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. Nothing is too much trouble for them. We could visit whenever we wished and were always warmly welcomed and looked after. A special mention needs to go to the owners, who have been incredibly supportive over the years, not only to our parents but to us as well. We honestly can't recommend Nashley highly enough. It's somewhere we would be happy to live in our later years.

We used Nashley House for respite care and then as a residential placement for my father. Lovely, caring staff who were fun and motivated by lots of people they supported. Always plenty of staff, lots of activities always involved family carers. An excellent management team who lead a person centred staff team. They were really good when my dad was ill and gravely upset when he died earlier this year. I recommend them 100%!

My mother was a resident at Nashley House for a year and a half. Her room was clean, comfortable and warm with a pleasant outlook. The staff were absolutely magnificent and very caring. The whole ambience of the home was welcoming and delightful. We were all so pleased with our choice. My mother was very happy there.

In my opinion, this is a very good residential home, overall a very good standard. Improvements continue to be made by the new owners, with many residents who have been there many years. In our case, my mother's health deteriorates significantly, the management and staff were excellent in responding to her needs. They gave her fantastic treatment and care over and above what you would expect from a residential home. She had severe dementia and was barely able to stand. The family are grateful.
