What, above all, should a care home provide? The answer is in the title - care.
Nashley House can't be faulted here. But it goes more than the extra mile, not only does it provide peace of mind for relatives and friends but it is in the best sense, a real home.
There is no institutionalised atmosphere here, but instead the overriding feeling of a safe and happy haven.
Over Christmas, it pulled out all the stops to ensure everyone had a memorable time. The carers are friends and treat those in their care with respect, never talking down to them.

Managers deserve accolades for their genuine humanity. Put simply, Nashley House runs on love.

Although my mum was only at Nashley House for a short time, she was well looked after in a lovely place full of friendly, caring and professional staff. Proprietors were always available to talk to at any time and full of great advice. I would not hesitate to recommend Nashley House, it is fantastic.

Excellent care and dedication by the team in all areas. Nothing is too much trouble. The owners are devoted and extremely skilled. Both are qualified nurses and play a large hand on the role each day within the home.

I had worked in NHS for the past 28 years and I am delighted with the care that my mother receives, she loves it at Nashley House and the whole family are so thankful that we placed mum here, she has been a resident for almost four years.

It's reassuring to know that your loved one is in safe caring hands.

My mother at 94 years old was required to be moved from her home, where she was very happy, because of its closure. It speaks volumes for Nashley House that she was immediately happy there, felt "at home" and was very well treated. When her health deteriorated she was treated with great professional skill and kindness and compassion. When mum passed away it was of great comfort to know she had been so well looked after. I would have no hesitation in recommending Nashley House and particularly the proprietors and staff to any potential residents.

Mum was a resident of Nashley House for 7 years. She enjoyed taking part in the many and varied activities and events organised by the home throughout her time there. She and her family were confident of her safety and well-being at all times. Managers and staff were always very friendly, approachable and professional. Sadly due to Mum's deteriorating care needs she had to move from Nashley House into nursing care, all the team went above and beyond their remit to try to keep Mum, had it not been for her increasing care needs Mum would have remained at Nashley House for the remainder of her days.

My mother was a resident at Nashley House for about the past six years. She was very happy there and we found the staff generally very helpful and caring. There has recently been a change of ownership and we have found the new owners excellent with nothing too much trouble.

My dad has spent 3 and a half years very happily at Nashley House. He has had to move due to his changing needs. I cannot praise Nashley enough.

You will see that I consider everything excellent and of the highest quality. Management and staff could not do enough for us and our family. They are so friendly, helpful, caring, warm and welcoming and the home is lovely, clean and smells beautiful (very important!) Everyone is completely professional yet so lovely. We are so sad dad had to move, but fully understand why.

Wonderful, warm, welcoming and very special is how I would describe Nashley House and the fantastic staff and management that make the magic happen.

Mum is coming towards her first full year at Nashley and although she has difficult days coping with dementia she is very settled and at home there.

I love is that there are always activities going on like keep fit, arts and crafts, bingo, guest performers and sing-a-long, speakers and gardening to name a few… Mum often apologises for not calling me “because she is just too busy!” which is music to my ears.

The management are wonderful and very approachable which is so important in my book. The care staff must love their jobs too because they are always smiling and although they are very busy always seem to make time for a quick chat with visitors which is a nice touch.

Thank you Nashley for all that you do.

Mum in-law is 95, needed some respite/convalescence following a fortnight in hospital after kidney failure. Nashley House was recommended to me by a home which I have known intimately for decades but which had no vacant rooms at the time. Of course I checked out the reviews and CQC reports and Nashley was very highly rated.

From the moment I rang to arrange the two week stay and received the welcoming and professional response, to the last day of mum's care when so many staff came to wish her well I could not have been more impressed in all respects!

The accommodation is great, staff are very caring, food amazing and professional support in terms of nursing, personal care, hairdressing etc. are spot on!

The owners are so visible, refreshingly engaging with residents and extremely approachable, it is obvious to me that these lovely people are dedicated and committed to providing the best environment for the residents in their care, very impressed! Thank you both so much.

For my visit I had everything I needed. The place is clean and the food and selection with the number if users is very good. All the staff and management are great. The place has plenty of room. Biscuits/tea etc at any time you wanted. They have programmes to cover most activities available each day. Residents attended most of them and took part. I am 81 and while I was there all the people I met were happy.

The care given to my Mother in law in Nashley house was wonderful.
My Mother in law was very reluctant to go into care but Nashley did a wonderful job of settling her and helping her to relax and feel at home.
She was treated with dignity and respect in a very loving way. Her room was a home from home and she enjoyed being in a position where she could see so many people, all of whom cared for her so well.
When she went in we had not realised quite how ill she was. Nashley house coped brilliantly with her sudden decline and looked after her well right up until and including her death.
Not only this but all of the staff supported us family members too.
The owners have a wonderful way with them and it is clear to see they care about their residents and providing a comfortable safe and pleasant place for them to be.

There honestly is no negative that I can think to say about Nashley house and would heartily recommend them.

My dear old uncle went into Nashley House for about a year before he needed nursing care, the manager at the time came to his flat, well she was so lovely. She knelt by his side and talked to him, not to me which is what I liked about her, to hear his needs. She actually took him back to the home with her, the care and love in Nashley House is amazing with all the girls. It's homely and lovely. There is always something going on for the residents. I'd give it 5 stars.

My mother and father were both in Nashley House earlier this year. My dad passed away in June this year. I cannot recommend the staff enough, they have taken excellent care of my mum at this very difficult time. My mum cannot praise the staff enough for helping her cope. I live an hour away but I know my mum is safe and getting the best care and her health is now the best its been for a couple of years and that's thanks to Nashley House

Nashley House is a wonderful place to live I have a lovely room which is very comfortable with my own stamp on it. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. The food is tasty, mainly home made and plenty of it. I often have second helpings! The staff are lovely, kind and very helpful. I am always treated with dignity and respect. I receive the highest quality care and feel totally safe at all times. There are several different activities each week. I am very happy at Nashley House and consider it excellent value for money.

The staff at Nashley House are extremely helpful and courteous and we always get a cup of tea when my husband and I visit my mother-in-law! Everyone is friendly and because the Home is smaller than some, everyone knows one another. The facilities are ideal for my mother-in-law; the place is very clean and the food, which is freshly cooked on the premises, looks delicious. We know by looking at the board that the menu is varied and offers a good choice. If we need to let the staff know of anything concerning my mother-in-law, they treat what we have to say with a professional and confidential manner. All in all, I highly recommend Nashley House for anyone to place their loved one.

Nashley is more like a small country hotel than a residential care home. The management and staff are dedicated to providing not only great care but a fantastic relationship with family and friends of their guests. From conversations with staff it is apparent that the majority have been with Nashley for many years, this must say something about the team and their dedication.

I have no reservations at all about Nashley. Long may they continue to provide this excellent service.
