I think the care home is great, I find the staff very dedicated, friendly and very very good at what they do. The Manager is exceptionally good, and is very approachable and friendly, as are her deputies. Long may it all continue.

Overall Experience

My Mum was in Trecarrel for just shy of five years. It was the hardest decision my family and I had to make placing her in a home, the guilt and 'what ifs' were excruciating!

Knowing then what we know now the decision would have been easier. The staff became like an extended family, kind, welcoming and informative to Mums care and needs. The first few years Mum improved and became very mobile again, my Dad would take her out regularly and the staff would encourage her to keep active. The latter years her needs were more complex but still, she was always relaxed, comfortable and content in her surroundings. The home always smelt fresh and clean with windows open and rooms aired. The elevated position of the building gives it a bright and positive feel and the views across to the coast and countryside beyond can ease the saddest of days, whatever the weather.

The care my wife received at this nursing home was without doubt the finest and most caring anyone could wish for. Nothing was too much trouble. The attention and dignity they afforded my wife along with the care and comfort they gave to my wife and myself throughout her illness was outstanding.
