Langholme is the best care home in the area as far as I am concerned. The staff are very caring and professional in all that they do. I am so happy that my auntie is being cared for here. Even though I have not been able to see her since December last year, I get feedback from my mum and another auntie, who on the whole visit once a week. I have seen her via video link and know she is happy, still her cheeky self. Thank you for looking after her so well.
My sister is well cared for. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. My sister is very happy here.
She has been in Falmouth all her life and I am glad that albeit she now needs care facilities she is still living in Falmouth near her family and friends and so many of the residents know her. I visit her regularly with my other sister and the staff are all very friendly and thorough with our visiting procedures.
Thank you for your kind review. It’s wonderful that for some of those living in our community, they decide to move in and become much loved residents. We all enjoy your regular visits too, as well as your sister. We are so lucky to be part of the Falmouth community.
The care given to my mother by the staff at Langholme during these last few difficult months has been fantastic. What a marvellous team they are - all of the staff totally dedicated and I cannot praise them enough.
Your review has been shared with the team this morning and we would also like to return our thanks for all the support and kind words that have been given to us. This has not been an easy time for any of us, even more so for relatives who at times couldn’t see their loved ones.
My mother has been so happy over the last year at Langholme. She has been well looked after and entertained during this difficult period. She loves all the staff who treat her with respect and dignity. The communication between staff and family members is good.
Thank you so much for your review and support, I showed the team this morning and they would like to say a huge thank you to you all for the support and compassion given back to us.
Langholme is an outstanding Methodist Home. They have dealt with very challenging times during Covid, having to juggle lockdown with some residents finding the situation difficult to understand. All the staff at all levels I have spoken to work with genuine care, compassion, and commitment. Nothing is too much hassle for them. I moved my friend to Langholme to take away the stress he was feeling managing a home and the loneliness of living alone. I wanted his final years to be happy ones. He has settled in so well, and I can truly say this chapter of his life is turning into being a very special one thanks to everyone from admin to cleaning to management at Langholme. Thank you.
Thank you for such a kind and supportive review. I will pass your comments on to my team. I would also like to add that as a team, we appreciate all our residents and relatives that supported us too, with their amazing acts of kindness and support towards us, during this time.
Thank you for all that you do.
Mum had to go into a care home last year, initially, she was placed in a home 10 miles away from her home town until a vacancy came up nearer to her home town. Although the first care home was lovely and tried their best through these COVID times, once she moved to Langholme what a difference we found. Langholme keep us informed of everything which includes Mum, COVID updates and much more. We feel totally included as a family, it's a true home from home. Mum looks lovely, always clean, tidy and extremely happy, which makes us happy.
Thank you; I will share your lovely supportive review with my team. Your mum always has a smile and brightens our day, thank you for being such a supportive family too.
Although I have only been a resident in Langholme for two weeks I was very familiar with the home through services, fetes and visiting several residents over the fifty years. I can honestly say that I have enjoyed every minute of my stay and the staff in every section being most caring, helpful and friendly. The most eloquent tribute to Langholme came from a friend who said I sounded like someone who had been a resident for years other than for one and a half weeks!
Thank you for such a positive review and for supporting Langholme for over 50 years, it should be us thanking you. I will pass your lovely supportive review onto the team.
Langholme has been attentive, caring, communicative and so accommodating for our family resident. He has settled in extremely well and has found a home in the care setting. The staff are amazing, always happy to help, and we couldn't have asked for a better place for our family member to live. Well done, Langholme.
Thank you for such a supportive review and I’m pleased that your relative has settled in well. I will pass on your review to my team and it will give them a well deserved morale boost.
The staff are all very kind and caring. I would just like to have more communication - especially at this time of difficulty in visiting.
Thank you for your review. I will ensure that I disseminate to my seniors regarding your communication wishes.
I was very impressed with the safe visiting during lockdown. The resident that I visited told me that he had a dog as a companion during the never-ending hours that he has to remain inside Langholme. I think this was so thoughtful to keep him motivated and provide him with a friend. He isn't the most sociable person so a dog is ideal.
Thank you so much for your lovely and supportive review. We are delighted you were able to safely visit your friend and are delighted that the dog is able to spend time with him during the day.
My mother has been a resident at Langholme for 2 years and is very settled and cared for. This past year has been difficult for resident, family and staff and Langholme has ensured that we have been kept up to date with the never-ending changes in Covid restrictions, it has been a comfort to know that Mum is in safe, caring hands. During this time Mum celebrated her 100th birthday and the staff arranged a wonderful party for her, they went above and beyond to mark her birthday.
Thank you so much for your lovely review. This is really appreciated, particularly at this testing time. I will pass your kind words on to our care team. We were delighted we were all able to share a socially distanced party with your mum on her 100th birthday and she certainly enjoyed her special cake.
We get very little feedback from our relative. She seems happy enough and has no specific complaints. Not sure how appetising the meals are as we never see the menus. On the whole, satisfied. Thank you.
Thank you for your review. We are pleased you and your relative are happy with Langholme and please be assured she does seem to enjoy the meals here.
My mother was only in Langholme for nine months but we cannot fault the care she received. She was treated with the utmost dignity and respect. All the staff and management were always extremely polite and friendly when we visited and did their best to make my mother comfortable in the last few weeks of her life. We would recommend Langholme to anyone who was looking for care for a loved one.
Thank for such a supportive review. I’m very proud of my team and I will pass on your kind words to them.
The home is immaculate, always clean and smells great whenever you visit.
Nothing is too much trouble and the care and attention to our loved ones are second to none.
I would highly recommend Langholme.
My mother is always treated as an individual with dignity. All staff are friendly and helpful when I visit or telephone. The entertainment is varied and my mother enjoys the singing and visits from nursery children. During the Coronavirus, the staff have been excellent and have now arranged garden visits for us which makes additional work for them.
Thank you for your review and I’m glad that you find our staff supportive. Hopefully, the children will be able to visit again soon, when safe to do so. I will pass onto my team your kind words.
Very comfortable, friendly, spacious, and caring environment. Excellent carers with good communication and professionalism. No complaints.
Thank you for your kind review, this is very much appreciated during a time that has been very testing for all of us and yourselves as a family. I will pass on your supportive review to my care team.
During this difficult time of the pandemic, the Langholme staff has done everything possible in keeping our loved ones safe. We have gone to bed each night knowing that Mum will have been treated with kindness, dignity, and compassion, as a valued member of her community. The staff has provided wonderful morale-boosting interactive entertainment, which we have watched on YouTube! One of the stand out qualities of Langholme is that all staff members enjoy what they do. Well done all of you!
Thank you for your supportive review. It has been a difficult time for you as a family and us as a care team. This review is so important for staff during a time when it has obviously affected moral, I can only say thank you for appreciating us. I’ve passed on your review to my team.
Both my sister and I have received regular updates on both of my parent's well-being and state of health during the lockdown period and we both have enjoyed being able to see our parents in an extremely well run, safe and strictly compliant situation outside in the gardens whilst adhering to the governments social distancing rules.
It's a credit to all the staff responsible for organising these visits.
Thank you all.
Thank you for such a heartfelt review. This time hasn’t been easy for yourselves as a caring family or us a care team. I’m glad that you have social distanced visits and I will pass on your lovely review to the team, it will give a well-deserved boost.
