When it became clear that my mum needed more care, I was very keen for Mum to find a space at Langholme. Thankfully a room was available and Mum moved in. She has a lovely room and very kind, considerate care from the staff, who already call her by name.

Consistently nice place. Lovely staff and a relaxed atmosphere. Always made to feel welcome. Informal yet professionally run. Clean and tidy with en-suite bedrooms.

Would highly recommend.

Langholme is very a welcoming and well-run care home. The accommodation is secure and is organised very effectively.
There are spacious and comfortable communal areas for residents to enjoy meals and social interactions, and there are several cosy quiet areas.
The bedrooms benefit from modern en-suite facilities. Staff are kind, supportive and helpful, not only to Mum but also me.
They share their expertise and provide emotional support during difficult times. They treat residents with respect and genuine fondness.
Family and friends are encouraged to visit regularly, as and when they please; and receive a warm welcome from the receptionist and updates from staff. Key persons share more detailed information as requested and through regular meetings. There is a lovely family atmosphere, and I enjoy my many visits. I know Mum is safe and well cared for.

The gardens are particularly attractive, accessible and residents are encouraged to enjoy time outdoors whenever possible.

My mother was treated with the utmost dignity and care. All staff ensured that as a family we were all supported during her passing and afterwards supported us. The home is well run, clean and rooms can be personalised. The chef makes delicious food and came and checked on Mum and went out of her way to make something that she fancied. Highly recommend this home.

My Mother was a resident at Langholme between May 2018 and March 2019. I visited her at the home on numerous occasions and got a very well informed impressionism of the level of service provided by the home and the care given to the residents.
I can say that my Mother received an excellent level of care while she was there. The staff undertook their work in good spirits and were very patient and attentive towards the needs of the residents.

I had constantly good reports about the food also!

Management and care staff are all wonderful. They are very caring and also take their responsibilities very seriously. Mum's room is always clean and she enjoys the food provided. Activities are varied and imaginative, shame there is no means of taking residents out and about very much.

Very pleased to see how the team interacted with Mum. I was delighted to see the gentle approach, the way Mum was coaxed to enjoy lunch, not left to her own devices.
First name used all the time with warmth and 'affection'.
I was welcomed and made comfortable, nothing was too much trouble.

It looked so 'natural.

As the husband of a resident, it is important to be kept involved in treatments and likely effects of the same. I visit Langholme every day and am allowed to make any enquiries my wife maybe displaying in her everyday behaviour pattern. My observations and responses from staff never fail to impress. The pleasure and warmth they give to the residents and relatives, even to the most demanding of requests or needs. The management and support teams always provide first class service to keep the complex running smoothly. Well done all.

Who would have thought about going to visit my elderly aunt in a care home would be so much fun!! There is always something going on at Langholme and the staff actively encourage the residents to join in in any way they can.
My aunt enjoys music therapy in particular and when we visited this week we were able to join in. The Grans and Tots weekly event is also excellent. The residents are able to interact with babies and young children and the joy this brings is clear for all to see.

Well done Langholme - Best care home ever!! x

I visit Langholme weekly to take a resident out to eat and shop it is a very worthwhile activity. Also, I assist sometimes with minibus trips for residents. All the staff I encounter are friendly and supportive. They work extremely hard to give the residents what they need.

The home is very clean and tidy and the staff are extremely friendly and caring. My Mum has been well and truly pampered by the staff and this is in the face of the adversities Alzheimer's brings. This home was and is by no means the cheapest option but the phrase “you get what you pay for” has never been more pertinent. Thank you to all involved.

My Mother has dementia, and we were quite worried about how she would cope. She loves it, she now has a social life, music therapy etc. The carers and all the staff have become her extended family, it has made me a lot more relaxed as I know she is well looked after and I can visit any time. It really a 'home from home'.

My mother is so happy at this care home. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and they are so warm and friendly that my mother regards Langolme as her home.
It is the staff that make this place so special. Mum can have a laugh and a joke but equally feels confident in sharing her feelings, when she needs to.

We are so pleased with our choice.

My mum moved to Langholme last year and staff are kind and caring. The home is a happy and beautiful place to live. My mum says that staff always have time to help and listen to her. The home is clean and never smells. The food and activities offered are great and also very close to the Maritime area and this is easily accessible.

Very impressed with the care given to my mother. She is very happy with all the staff and also the food.
The stimulating activities e.g. quizzes, trips out, are very popular - and the musical participation particularly important.
Visiting entertainers and visits by children are also popular.
Langholme is fortunate in having a lovely garden which adds great pleasure when weather permits.

A warm welcome is always given when I visit. Staff are friendly and approachable.
