Very happy with the care given to Mum at Longview, as she has dementia and can be very difficult. The staff are always helpful and friendly and you are always offered a cup of tea and biscuits when you arrive. It is peace of mind to know Mum is being well looked after and always looks neat and tidy.

My sisters and I have been very pleased with the care the staff give to our mother, they deserve a 10-star review!
Before Mum went to Longview she was very angry and upset all the time, after a week or two in Longview she was a changed woman (she's been there a year now), she's always happy and laughing
all the time. My sisters and I have no worries about Mum now.
The staff are amazing, always so friendly and the care they give Mum is great!
We would recommend Longview to anyone!

Very pleasant and helpful staff always smiling, nothing is too much trouble. Spotless clean, my partner always looks clean and tidy the food looks very nice on the whole. I can go home after visiting with no worries because I know he's in safe hands.

It was one of the saddest days of our lives, having to put Dad in a home (vascular dementia) and when he failed to settle in the first 2 homes you can imagine our anxiety and despair. Then we discovered Longview, it was like a miracle, he settled in from day 1, receiving a lot of care and attention,
he is happy and content, for us to witness that was unbelievable, we now have complete peace of mind knowing he is safe and well cared for. He is part of a new family now and we couldn't be MORE grateful, it's thanks to the dedicated team. If we could give you 10 stars, we would!

My mum has been a resident for over two years after my dad died, and she could not stay alone at home. I have found that the care and commitment of the staff at Longview exemplary. She is treated as if she is with family, and I am satisfied that she is happy. She has dementia but is clearly cherished
by the staff for her uniqueness, and I would recommend Longview to anyone seeking professional but loving care for their relative or friend. There is always someone to chat with me if I call to enquire after her, and although I haven't been able to visit recently, I have no concerns for her. When I have visited, I am made welcome, and I sense that the staff and procedures are honest and transparent.

My mother in law has been a resident in Longview Care Home for the last 7 years after rapidly contracting severe dementia. In the early years of her stay at Longview, she was frequently highly distressed. However, the care which she has received throughout this time from the Longview team has been exemplary
and has contributed greatly to her becoming far more settled as the years have progressed. The Longview team have always liaised with my wife and I in a very warm and professional way which has been a huge comfort to us. Thank you so much and please keep up the fantastic care!

My auntie will have been in Longview for three years this December. It was my decisions for her to go to Longview, fortunately, she settled quickly.
The staff are brilliant with the residents, they have patience, a lot of time to give them, and above all a lot of care.
The food always smells inviting
with a choice of something else if they don't fancy what's on the menu.
With their cup of tea in the morning and afternoon, a biscuit or piece of cake can be offered. Before covid, when I visited, straight away, I would be offered tea or coffee with biscuits.
Longview is always inviting, it's very clean and always smells fresh. The residents are very clean and smart. I have never had to worry about my aunt's appearance as her clothes are always clean as well as herself.
I was able to stop worrying about my auntie when she joined Longview, knowing she is in good hands and being very well looked after.
I can't praise the staff enough.

My mum has been at this care home for over 2 years now and I have been really happy with the care she gets. The staff are lovely and caring , I get regular updates (great especially in these difficult times), and if she is ill, I am contacted straight away. I couldn’t ask for better care for my mum

We are extremely pleased with the care my aunt receives at Longview. She is always clean and well-groomed when we go there. The staff are always friendly and available if anything needs to be discussed, also we get a monthly review and if there is a need for the doctor to be called or a change of medication
we are informed.
The home is always clean and tidy.
Activities are put on for the residents, and a cup of tea is always offered on arrival!
I would definitely recommend Longview.

My husband has been a resident for the last 3 years and I have absolutely no problem with the standard of care and support shown to him. The staff act with compassion and are always there to help, support and advise if I need it. In these difficult times, I am provided with an update and photos of
my husband as I am unable to visit. Whilst FaceTime and WhatsApp are offered and have been used in the past, my husband can’t grasp the concept of this so this is now used infrequently. As I have said, I cannot state highly enough how satisfied and pleased I am with everything that is provided for my husband, and me.

My Mum has been a resident at Longview for almost 3 years. She is 97 and has advanced dementia. The staff at Longview have always treated her with the utmost respect, and I consider that the level of care is exceptional. Obviously, I cannot visit since March but FaceTime regularly. Nothing is
too much trouble, and I feel that the staff make my mum feel very loved and cared for. I could not wish for more.

My Mother has been a resident at Longview for nearly two years after a necessary move from a previous care home.
The family was pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome we all received from the owners, and over the time our Mother has been at Longview, we cannot speak highly enough of the care and
attention she receives.
Regular activities help to enliven the daily routine; have brought my mother out of her shell.
She is in a safe and secure environment with excellent care from all the staff, which helps to give the family a feeling of comfort - we are happy to confirm.

My Mum who has worsening dementia has been at Longview for over a year now. All the staff are always very professional and provide excellent care. This relates to both her physical and emotional well-being. I am kept up to date with regular telephone calls from the manager and team leaders regarding
all aspects of my Mum's care, this is vital to me due to the fact that I do not live close by and cannot visit as often as I would like to. However, when I do visit everyone is very welcoming and they always have the time to discuss any issues I have and to give me a full appraisal of my Mum's current health. Longview promotes the music for dementia as there is often musical entertainment including singing which my Mum thoroughly enjoys and brings her to life, which is great to see. It is very apparent from the feedback that I receive that the staff know my Mum very well so I am content that she is in very good hands and can't thank them enough for all that they do.

The Manager and the staff at Longview have made the transition into care for my dad, who has dementia, as easy as possible. I know that dad is well cared for, safe and as happy as he can be. We are kept up to date with any issues by the home regularly. I would highly recommend Longview Care Home.

As a family, we have been in the care industry for over 30 years and own several care homes in Cornwall, specialising in Dementia and mental illness. Amy has a Law Degree and qualified as a Solicitor in 2000, specialising in Employment Law. She now works full-time for the care home business and takes particular responsibility for Longview.
