The staff at Rowan House are always attentive and cheerful when I visit my 93-year-old mum. If Mum is a little out of sorts they always let us know and keep a close eye on her which is good to know. Any questions that I have had are readily answered or taken on board and answers found. They have been extremely helpful in assisting and advising me on matters of funding Mum's care.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review.
My dad came into Rowan House for respite care following a long spell in hospital. He has the beginnings of dementia and was very confused when he arrived. The staff made huge efforts to help him settle and made regular contact with me both personally by phone and by allowing my father to call me when he was anxious or unsettled. He is now well-settled at the home and seems happy. I visited him for the first time this week and the environment was friendly, clean, and welcoming. I feel he is receiving good care and there is always someone around to listen to him or reassure him.
On behalf of Rowan House, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to leave this fantastic review. Our residents are at the heart of all we do and to hear that the staff at Rowan House have made such an effort to to reassure your dad and help him to settle is really...
I went to visit Rowan House for a temporary respite placement for my mum following a lengthy hospital stay. As soon as I went in I knew this was the right place for her to be. Both management and staff have been so professional, kind and supportive through a very challenging time, they always have the best interests of the residents at heart and work so hard to create a homely feel and a warm welcoming atmosphere. I cannot thank them enough.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review. It is lovely to read your comments and to hear that you are happy with Rowan House.
It has been a really difficult time, but I have felt assured that Mum is being really well looked after and her needs are being met.
The staff are really caring and patient and have done their utmost to make Mum as comfortable as possible.
Staff are always welcoming when I visit and if I have any queries or concerns,a particular member of staff and the Managers are always accessible, easy to talk to and will deal with any issues and try to get things sorted out.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am pleased to hear that you are happy with the care at Rowan House. Someone will be in contact to discuss your star rating feedback and see if we can make any changes.
So far very pleased with the care our father is getting. Care home people are always so friendly, informative and supportive. It has been a very stressful time for both of us as we live so far away. It is reassuring that there is always a friendly voice to give us any information we need.
I'm delighted to hear that your father has settled in well and you are happy with Rowan House. Thank you for leaving such a lovely review.
From the moment we walked into Rowan House, we felt very welcomed by the team of staff. We were nervous about choosing the right home to suit my Dad’s needs, but we have nothing but positive things to say about the home. The care, food and activities are fantastic and it has made this hard transition for both my Dad and family very smooth and easy. My dad is very happy, as are we.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. I am delighted to read that you are happy with Rowan House. I will pass this on to the whole team.
Both management and staff have all been very helpful, friendly and professional in all matters and needs for my mother and myself.
Unfortunately, as I live abroad I am unable to visit my mother as often as I would like. Since my last visit last December I can see a noticeable improvement in her health and appearance. She is eating very well and shows her appreciation to all the visiting staff.
As my mother prefers to spend most of her time in her room I was very grateful that she was given a room with a lovely view and is also spacious enough to hold many of her personal items and hang her favourite paintings.
I thank all at Rowan House for being there to help and assist my mother during this difficult time of her life.
My mind is at rest when I return back home knowing she is safe and being well cared for.
That's lovely to hear. Many thanks for leaving such a kind review.
First of all if you are reading these reviews I am sorry for your situation. I have been where you are and trying to find the best place and make the right decision for someone you love so much is hard! I couldn’t have got through my journey without the staff at Rowan House. They are caring, kind, compassionate, understanding, respectful, sensible, sensitive and show love and support when you need it the most. You go home knowing your loved one is in safe hands. Rowan House is clean, nice rooms and the care and attention from staff is lovely. I watch nails being cut/painted, singing and dancing and residents being constantly fed and watered, catered to the likes of the individual. I see a family and that’s what they are which clearly comes across. I see each person living there free to do what they want (obviously within reason) and not all sleepy in a chair which I saw at other homes I visited. I would highly recommend Rowan House to any of you travelling this difficult journey and trying to make the best decision for your loved one.
Wow! Thank you for taking the time to write such a lovely, heart-felt review. I am so pleased that we have been able to meet your needs and the needs of your loved one. The whole team work extremely hard and are dedicated to caring for each and every resident. I will pass your kind words on to the team.
Rowan House and all the staff are so caring and compassionate; they have gone above and beyond helping my mum, who has Alzheimer’s, in her difficult moments. There are always activities going on and good food, and excellent communication with the family.
What a lovely review! Thank you so much. I am delighted to hear that you and your Mum are happy with Rowan House.
Rowan House Saltash is a wonderful care home. My Mother has settled in and is very happy! The staff are all kind and can’t do enough for Mum. Thank you all very much for looking after her and I feel relieved that I can leave her there and know she is being looked after.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am delighted to hear that you and your mum are happy with Rowan House.
The care Mum has received has been excellent. The home has a lovely warm atmosphere, nothing is too much trouble. All residents are treated with love and respect. We were also helped during a difficult transition period.
What a lovely review, thank you so much. The team do an amazing job. I will pass your comments on.
Lovely staff, couldn't be more helpful or understanding. Very caring attitude towards their residents and welcoming to visitors. Rooms are small but functional, food good and building secure for the benefit of the residents. Highly recommend.
Thank you for your kind review, I will pass this on to the team at Rowan House.
My father has complex dementia needs and the staff at Rowan House are really caring and supportive. My brother and I do not live locally and it is very reassuring that Dad is being so well cared for.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am pleased to hear you are happy with the service. The staff do an amazing job. I will be sure to pass your comments on.
My mum who has dementia went into Rowans House at very short notice as my dad was rushed into hospital. She has been looked after really well, the staff have been marvellous with her and so caring. Mum is really happy and content.
Thank you for your kind words. I am delighted that you are happy with the service we provide. I will pass this on to our lovely team.
Mum has Alzheimers, but is still able to stay in her own home. My sister is the main carer for mum, and I help out when I can, so the burden falls mainly on my sister. Mum has a visit every morning from Rowan House, and I can honestly say that without these visits, we would have to look at residential care. All the carers are lovely, and treat mum with such dignity and respect. They do a fantastic job under very trying circumstances, for which I cannot thank them enough.
Thank you for your kind words. I am delighted that you are happy with the service we provide.
It was this flexibility and care mix that warmed me to the Rowan House, and it came down from the registered manager to all the members of staff, nursing, social, domestic, maintenance and visitor wise. This was a quality needed in such "care" provision places where nobody knows the exact requirements of everyone at all times! ... but as a team ... they can pool the experiences of members.
I was found a room, made up for me on the day I could make it to arrive.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. I am delighted to hear that you are happy with Rowan House and the amazing team of staff we have.
My family and I would have no hesitation in recommending Rowan House.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. I am so pleased to hear that you and your mother have been happy with Rowan House.
My husband came into Rowan House care early July 2022. I thought initially it was just for respite but it has turned out that he needs more care than I can give him. The Staff at Rowan are kind and caring I really could not ask for anything more. Nothing is too much trouble and they go the extra mile to ensure both my husband and myself are happy. What impresses me is that every member of staff is prepared to do whatever is necessary - no "that's not in my job description". If a resident needs something whoever is nearby attends to that person. I am really impressed. I am so grateful to everyone at Rowan for looking after my husband.
Thank you for leaving a review. I am delighted to hear that you and your husband are happy with Rowan House. I will pass this lovely message on to the team.
We are very happy with the way my mother has quickly settled in and with the excellent care she is receiving. All staff are professional, friendly and always very happy to answer any questions we have.
Thank you for leaving a review. I am delighted to hear that you and your Mother are happy with Rowan House.
My mother has experienced some health problems during the last few weeks. The staff at Rowan House have provided her with excellent care-calling GP/district nurse when required and taking her to medical appointments. The level of personal care she has received has been exceptional. Many thanks to everyone involved.
I will pass this on to the whole team.
