Mum always seems happy when we visit her and has not asked to go home. It was not a decision we took lightly as mum always wanted to stay in her own home. We as a family are all happy mum is in a safe snd happy environment.
I am so pleased to hear that your mum has settled so well. Thank you for leaving such a nice review.
I visited my mother for the first time since she has become a resident at Rowan House in late March. As I live a long way away, it is difficult to see her often. I was amazed at the difference in her mental health and general well-being. If I ever needed confirmation that Rowan House was a perfect home for my mum, this was it. She has a lovely bright room with some personal effects around her to make it even more homely and cosy. The care and entertainment are all exceptional. Many thanks, to all of the staff who are enriching every day of her life.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. I am delighted to hear that you are happy with the service we provide.
Dear Rowan House,
I just want to say from the bottom of my heart thank you so much to all the staff at Rowan's house who looked after my dear great nan for the duration of her time in your care home!
Thank you for the long hard hours worked, for all your dedication and love you showed my great nan to make her feel as comfortable and relaxed for the lasting months weeks and days leading to her passing.
Thank you for being there during the pandemic for my nan and for giving her the love, care and attention that we could not offer and show during that terrible time.
Thank you for the professionalism and communication you have given my family throughout the time my great nan was in your care.
Thank you for all the activities and fun events you have held and included my beautiful great nan in over her time in your care.
May she live on forever in memory at Rowan House care home
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. The whole team work very hard and it is so nice to read your kind words. I will be sure to share this with the team.
We were unsure whether our mother could attend our father's funeral. We appreciate the delicate discussions beforehand, and subsequently the personal care and attention given to Mum on the day. We are pleased how Mum has settled into Rowan House, and it is always a pleasant surprise when we see her on facebook.
Thank you for leaving a review. I am delighted to hear that your Mum has settled in so well.
Her deteriorating physical and mental health brought challenges that were met in a professional and understanding way, especially during the challenges Covid brought. The well being and security of the residents is paramount.
During her time at Rowan House, my aunt didn’t always want to take part in the activities provided but loved to sing along to the musical entertainment provided.
To know that my aunt has been so well looked after during the last years of her life has been of great comfort to her friends and family. The compassion and support given to my aunt, family and friends has been exceptional and I thank you.
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. I will be sure to pass this onto our wonderful team.
My mother-in-law has been very happy at Rowan House ever since she moved in six months ago, due to not coping at home on her own. All the staff made her feel so welcome from day one and were also so helpful and supportive to me. They sensitively appreciated that she can be quite reserved, and consequently she has settled so well, and trusts the staff who take care of her. She enjoys the company, and very much enjoys the meals provided, making a point of telling me so when I visit her. She has a lovely room, en suite, and has all her family photos and pictures up. Altogether she just looks so much happier and physically better than when she was struggling on her own at home. Thank you to all at Rowan House!
Thank you for leaving such a lovely review. I am so pleased that we have been able to help your mother-in-law and that she has settled in well.
As we live far from the home we don't get to visit as often as I would like. The staff are always helpful over the phone and let me know if there are any problems. My father is very well looked after and obviously has good relationships with the members of staff. He refers to them as his friends. In fact, it would be much better for me to have him closer to home but I can't bear to uproot him as he is so settled and content.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am delighted to hear that your father is so settled and happy at Rowan House.
The staff were loving and caring at all times.
There is a happy atmosphere in very pleasant surroundings.
I am so pleased to read your comments. Hopefully we will see you at Rowan House again in the future.
They made his 100th birthday in December a very special day for him.
I am pleased when I visit that he is always clean and well cared for.
Thank you for your lovely comments. I will pass this onto the team.
Mum has been in Rowan House since the end of May 2021, she has accepted that Rowan House is her home and seems happy living there. She is always happy returning to Rowan House greeting the staff just like members of her family.
The management and staff all seen very caring, patient and friendly – nothing is too much trouble.
Regarding the “ratings” due to the covid restrictions re: accessing the house, I can only rate what I have seen, which is a small part of the house.
Thank you for your kind words, I am really pleased to hear that your mum is happy at Rowan House. The staff work very hard and it is great to be able to pass on positive feedback.
My mum has now been a resident here for over two years and I have nothing but praise for the staff and management. After 68 years of marriage my dad passed away and mum found herself without her sole mate and suffered a breakdown as a result. I honestly didn't think she would be ever be happy again, but she is thanks to the miracle workers at Rowan House.
Thank you for such a lovely review. I will be sure to pass this on to our team of amazing staff!
I find on visiting Rowan House a very welcoming and caring environment.
Thank you for your positive comments and feedback. I am glad to hear that you are happy with our service
Mum has been in Rowan house for four years and is very happy.
Thank you for your positive comments and feedback. I am glad to hear that you are happy with our service.
My mother has been living at Rowan House for 2.5 years. In all this time the staff have been nothing but kind, courteous and respectful of my mother's feelings and needs and the mutual fondness that they have for each other is obvious. We could not be happier with the team who are always incredibly cheerful and helpful and always make us feel part of the Rowan House family. We would highly recommend Rowan House to anyone having to consider a care home for their loved one.
Their knowledge and expertise around those living with dementia including supporting the immediate relatives have been professional but also have appreciated the love, warmth and care that has been extended to us all.
Mum is now settled in the Rowan House family receiving the care, nutrition, love and support through the good and not so good days.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, I'm so pleased to hear such positive feedback. I will be sure to share this with all the staff.
Excellent staff, very caring. Also looked after me and my sister when we needed them. Would highly recommend. Excellent staff.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the review. I am delighted to hear your comments, I will be sure to pass them onto the team.
In the short time my mother has been a resident at Rowan House, I believe that she has been well looked after and the staff are managing to care for all her needs, with family support. I have answered to the best of my ability as we are all in lockdown but I do know that all the staff I have spoken to in my regular calls have been helpful and informative and continue to give us confidence that our mother is in the right place.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the review and thank you for your kind words. We are really looking forward to welcoming families back into the Home soon.
Two years ago, after visiting several care homes on behalf of my wife, my son and daughter and I came unanimously to the view that Rowan House was the one for us. Here we are today and we could not be more pleased with our decision. What decided it for us was the marvellous relationship we could see between carers and residents; a genuine, warm, loving and respectful relationship. We have also been most impressed by the excellent management of the home in the very dire circumstances of Covid-19.
Thank you so much for your lovely comments. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you back into the Home as soon as we can.
Due to lockdown visiting has been spasmodic so therefore I cannot truthfully answer all the questions accurately. When I'm in the home usually twice a week the staff I speak to are very kind and considerate. My cousin appears to be happy and well cared for. When answering the phone it would be nice to if they said their name then I wouldn't have to ask.
Thank you for taking the time to complete this review. I will pass on your feedback and comments to the staff. Hopefully, we will be able to welcome you back into the Home very soon.
Entrusting initial strangers to help you care for your loved ones is a huge emotional task. Having used Rowan House for private domiciliary and daycare for 12 months, my dear mother's needs were as such tat full residency became necessary. As a health care professional myself I am so comforted with the knowledge that all residents are constantly shown the utmost respect, professional understanding and support which is delivered in an environment filled with an abundance of warmth, humour and attention. Rowan House is a home from home.
Thank you for taking the time to complete the review. I'm so pleased to read your positive comments about Rowan House. I will pass this onto the team and ensure that we keep up the good work.
