Mum has been at Woodlands for 5 weeks now and has settled well. Im very impressed by the ratio of staff to residents. Mum seems calm and well looked after despite the quick progression of her dementia. There always seems plenty to do and there are plenty of smiling faces, both staff & resident. All staff have been very supportive & friendly. The home is also lovely and clean and has a homely atmosphere.
Thank you for sharing such lovely feedback. We're delighted to hear your mum has settled in well and that our caring team, engaging experiences and homely environment have made a positive difference. It means so much to know she feels calm, well supported and happy with us.
Absolutely wonderful establishment staffed by Angels. Clean, affectionate, respectful. Just the right place. My family member is end of life. She is certainly in a wonderful environment. Very highly recommended.
Thank you for sharing such heartfelt feedback. We're delighted to hear your family member is receiving compassionate care in a warm, respectful environment. Your kind words and recommendation mean a great deal to our team.
My mum has been in Woodland House for six weeks now, and I cannot praise them enough. Everyone is so friendly and caring. It is spotlessly clean, the food is lovely and I can now relax knowing my mum is in the right place for her needs at 94 years old.
This care home is absolutely first class! My Nan is currently living here and the staff and setting is second to none. The food is fantastic with a very varied menu for them. Everywhere is spotlessly clean, very high standards, always cleaning. Her room is lovely and comfortable and her overall care is brilliant. The entertainment laid on for the residents is really great and I've seen it for myself. Staff are caring, compassionate and always available to help. Would completely recommend this care home!
The food looks amazing! Nothing is too much trouble. The activities are very good and tailored to all needs, everyone is encouraged to take part. Christmas was amazing! Beautifully decorated and lots of fun to be had! It certainly is one big happy caring family!

The staff really worked hard to help and meet my dad's needs and this really help his journey with dementia. We will always have fond memories of Woodland House and will be forever grateful to all the staff for their dedication.
Thank you for sharing such heartfelt words about your experience. Were truly honoured to have supported your dad and family, and it means so much to know our care and community made a positive difference. Creating special moments, like the anniversary celebration, is at the heart of what we do, and...
All the staff were friendly and welcoming and built up a wonderful rapport with my mum. They provided excellent care and made her quickly feel like part of the family. She enjoyed taking part in most of the activities provided. The atmosphere at the home was calm and unhurried and spotlessly clean. The dining room was the hub of the home and was set out to welcome everyone. The food was very good and nourishing. Mums food preferences were acknowledged and alternatives provided. It was nice for the residents and their families to be able to spend time in the garden although it was a little overgrown. Staff always had time for a chat and showed an interest in mum. We all felt she was well cared for and safe. The only issues were the difficulties in parking when visiting and knowing if the entry bell had rung and been heard.
Thank you for your lovely review. We're so pleased your mum felt welcomed and well cared for-it means a lot to us. We're glad she enjoyed the activities, meals, and calm atmosphere. Your feedback about the garden, parking, and entry bell is appreciated and will help us improve. Thank you again for your kind words and support.
Staff are excellent. Very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They take very good care of residents there. They keep me informed about any problems that my mum has. She has a lovely comfortable room. The food is really good and plenty of it. There is a small garden that residents can wander around and sit there quietly. Would recommend the home.
Thank you for your lovely review. We're so pleased to hear that your mum is happy and well cared for, and that you feel informed and supported. Your kind words about our staff, food, and garden mean a lot. We truly appreciate your recommendation!
Would definitely recommend.

Woodland is a happy, welcoming home from home. We were shown around at short notice and nothing was too much trouble. Visiting my mother-in-law is a lovely experience. The staff are genuinely friendly and so kind and caring. My mother-in-law has settled in very quickly and the staff have been integral in that. She is very impressed with the amazing food provided. Woodland is truly wonderful.
Thank you for your wonderful review. We're so glad to hear that your mother-in-law has settled in so well and that you find Woodland to be such a warm and welcoming home. The team are certainly very special and will be delighted to read your comments, thank you.
My uncle has been a resident at Woodland since April 2024. He was previously admitted to hospital very poorly and suffering from neglect. When he left hospital he was very frail but on his way to recovery. Since being at Woodland however, his health and general condition has improved immeasurably. He has benefitted from eating regularly and healthily and his interaction with friendly staff and other residents has made him more sociable than any of his relatives can recall. He seems happy, well-fed, warm, clean and in very good spirits. Thank you all at Woodland.
Thank you for sharing such wonderful feedback for our team. We're so pleased to hear that your uncle is thriving at Woodland and that our care has made such a positive difference. Your kind words will mean so much to the team, thank you.
After a fall in September, I broke my leg and was not allowed to weight bare. After my husband had died I lived alone with a wonderful family but settled around the world. I needed 24-hour care and received it at Woodlands. The staff gave me a feeling of safety, my needs were always met, nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Their friendship and humour were so good. They made me the biggest birthday cake I have ever had. I would recommend Woodland and already have.
Thank you for sharing your experience and for your glowing five star review for our team at Woodland. We're so glad they have been able to provide such wonderful care and companionship. Your kind words will mean so much to the team and we're delighted you enjoyed your birthday celebration. Thank you for your recommendation.
I found Woodland Residential Care Home by pure serendipity. From the moment I walked in I knew this was where my husband would be care for with love and respect. I cannot praise the management and all staff enough for enabling my husband to best care anyone could expect in the last few weeks of his life.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review, the team will be touched to read your comments. We are honoured that you chose Woodland for your husband's care. It means everything to us to know that you felt our team provided the love and respect you were looking for during such an important time. Thank you for trusting us with your husband's care.
I love that my sister is so happy and settled there. When I visit the staff are all very friendly and welcoming. It runs like a well-oiled machine in there. Also lots of fun and laughter... which I think is so important for patients and staff. The food in there is fabulous and cakes are made for birthdays... nothing is too much trouble for them. My sister feels safe and is happy... we as a family could not ask for more.
Thank you for your wonderful feedback for the team at Woodland, they will be proud to read your kind words. It's wonderful to hear that your sister is happy and settled, and that you feel so welcomed when you visit. We're thrilled that the happy feel of the home stands out to you - it's something...
Visiting a friend who is a temporary resident of the Woodland Residential Care Home. I have made several visits to see my friend and on each occasion, I received a friendly welcome from a member of staff. I noticed how clean and tidy the home was, as was my friend's room. If I happened to be there at tea or coffee time, I too was offered a drink, which was lovely. In addition, I witnessed how staff interacted with my friend and on every occasion, she was spoken to in a kind, warm, friendly manner, with great respect, dignity and a good measure of humour which we all appreciated. I believe that the staff are exceptional and I am curious to know how they are trained to have such a genuine empathetic approach.
Thank you for your beautiful review, the team at Woodland will be touched to read your kind words. It's heartwarming to know that you feel so welcome and noticed the cleanliness and care provided to your friend. We're especially proud of our team's compassionate approach to everything they do and...
I was very pleased and reassured that on my first visit to see my relative since going into the care home she was being looked after and cared for by all the staff who provide an excellent service! The care home staff also welcomed me and answered all my queries satisfactorily. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming also and my relative looked content and happy generally which reassured me that she was receiving the correct care with empathy and understanding.
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We're delighted to hear that your first visit to see your relative at Woodland was so reassuring and it's wonderful to know that felt so supported and welcomed. Your feedback is greatly appreciated thank you.
