From the moment you enter the home you know it’s a friendly safe place. All the staff are happy and helpful I feel as though my mother-in-law couldn’t better the care she receives. The food is amazing with a really friendly chef. Admin staff is always helpful. Look forward to visiting.

Carers and staff go over and above for their residents who all seem very content. Lovely and clean and staff are kind and courteous at all times, always have a smile on their faces and are happy to help with any questions.

My father-in-law had his 50th wedding anniversary here. The staff were amazing, they put on a spread that would put any hotel or pub to shame. They are truly great. Plus they invited the Mayor of St Austell for their anniversary which was a great thing for them to do.

I am just so grateful that my father-in-law is a resident of such a lovely home which is faultless in all respects. The compassion, care and respect shown to all residents and visitors is second to none. I would have no hesitation in recommending this home to families looking for somewhere for their relatives to be cared for.

As a previous CQC registered manager within the NHS, I can honestly say that Woodland House is exemplary and if I was ever thinking of going back to work at all I would be honoured to work for this company.

Dad was welcomed to the Woodland House family in December 2023, and after three months, we feel he is settling in well and slowly adjusting to living in a care home.
The management, the team leaders, the cook and the rest of the staff have gone above and beyond to ensure Dad's needs have been met. His room is spacious, bright and always clean with a lovely view of the enclosed safe garden.
The dining area is like a restaurant, again, with lovely views and a great varied menu every day.
We visit any time without restriction and also take Dad out regularly. We cannot thank the staff enough for the kind, caring connections they have made with Dad and us.

We viewed several care homes and are really pleased we chose Woodland House as Dad's permanent, forever home.

Overall, the home is "good", seen some changes lately. The residents seem settled and happy, and have noticed more care staff recently.
The home is bright and cheerful, and it's nice the dining area is all set up like a little restaurant. The office staff are always willing to listen and all are very polite.

Our friend's room is very nice and clean and a good size, and he seems very happy and content.

Mum has been very poorly and is moving towards end of life. The home has been brilliant and allowed us space for a birthday event. As well as providing excellent care for Mum they have been brilliant with the family as we visit, one manager summed it up by saying we are all part of the one family. Nothing is too much trouble and I cannot praise the whole team enough.

Mum became a resident in July after realising we could no longer keep her safe in her own home. It was a massive decision, especially taking Mum away from her beloved home but we needn't have worried as Woodland soon became home to Mum and the generously kind and caring staff are more like family to her. We know mum is in safe hands and the staff treat her as good as if she was their own Mum. Nothing seems too much trouble. Over the past few weeks, Mum has deteriorated and my sister, brother and myself have spent long hours by Mum's bedside. We have been supported with kind words, reassurance and enough tea to sink a ship! We will never be able to thank them all enough. We know we have more tough days ahead but it is made a little easier by these wonderful, caring people looking out for Mum and us all.

I cannot speak more highly of the staff and atmosphere at Woodland House. It feels like a family home. My mother moved in just before her 90th birthday, and the staff took care to learn her favourite cake and make it, and the whole staff came in to wish her happy birthday. I was nearby for two weeks and came every day and got to know the staff. I witnessed how well the manager treated her staff in all departments, which I believe is a huge part of the humanity, dignity and respectful nature of the place. I live far away, and the staff are able to arrange regular video chats between me and my Mum, which means the world. It is truly priceless to know Mum is warm, safe and cared for so well. She is in a lovely room with a beautiful view of the garden and sky - and when the staff learned she loves birds, they attached a birdfeeder to the window so she could enjoy watching them. They have taken care to understand her preferences and favourite activities and to accommodate them.

All the staff were very helpful, always greeted you with a smile. Kept the room very clean and tidy as well as the patient. Always had time to talk to the patient and help with meals. The staff offered refreshments and always put in extra chairs if needed. They were very helpful on the phone if you had any questions to ask about the welfare of the patient. Would recommend this care home 100%.

I have had a lot of experience over the last 10 years visiting care homes to see my mum and many other members of my family, Woodlands is no. 1. Each and every one of the staff is just amazing, the way they show care, love, genuine love, respect and the way they interact with all the residents is a joy to see. It is difficult for the families to let them go but watching how they flourish in your caring hands makes it so much easier.

Thank you all for everything you do.

From the moment we arrived at Woodland's, we felt welcome. Such friendly and professional staff. Reassuring security at the entrance, sensible but kind protocols. Photos of staff displayed at the entrance with names were so helpful when we later met individual care workers. Our friend celebrated her ninetieth birthday that day and we were amazed and delighted by the attention shown to her by the staff, warmth, kindness thoughtful and appropriate decorations, and a lovely cake with lit candles. An atmosphere of cosy, home-like love. Everyone here is gentle and respectful to those they care for and we thank you all.

I visit Woodland weekly to see a lady I used to support in her own home. I have seen a significant change for the better in her due to the care and support of the lovely staff and management. I enjoy my visits and interacting with the other residents who recognise me when I come in. Thank you for everything you do for all the lovely residents

I really do appreciate the time and effort the staff put into caring for the residents. My father was relaxed and comfortable within a very short time of arriving at Woodlands. I also noticed that as his confusion grew and the dementia progressed, the care from the staff changed to suit his needs instinctively.
My anxiety and guilt were also really eased as well. All my questions were answered and I didn't feel like a pest or in any way stupid. I liked the Woodlands Newsletters they email, such a great little insight.
In short, the staff took really good care of both my dad and his family.

Thank you all so very much for a difficult job very well done.

Just over eighteen months ago, my partially sighted sister became a resident of Woodland as couldn't cope on her own anymore. Since visiting her weekly, I have noticed how dedicated and caring all the staff are to her and the other residents and treat them with dignity, respect and have a way with them which makes them feel special. Sadly, her memory is failing but she is very happy there and it's good to know that she is being well looked after.

Woodlands is an extremely incredible and gorgeous location. The elderly are really well cared for. People who live there are always joyful, and I never see them in misery. The Woodland team works well together and always appears to be pleased and comfortable with their job positions, making it an excellent environment for residents to live.

Mum has been a resident in Woodland House for nearly 2 years and we cannot fault the care she is receiving. Without exception all the staff have been fantastic and made mum feel part of the 'Woodland' community. Mum moved into Woodland House during the Pandemic after her Alzheimer's worsened. With the restrictions in place activities and visiting were limited, but now we are fully able to see the extent of the excellent care and range of activities the staff provide. To see the place decorated at such events as the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, Valentine's Day and Christmas is a huge effort from all involved and makes it feel as homely as possible.

We are always kept informed of any changes in mums condition. From the home cooked food, the facilities, the garden, the range of activities and the Cleanliness of the rooms and communal areas, we cannot fault Woodland House. We have peace of mind knowing mum is safe and happy and we can't thank the Woodland Team enough for all they do.

My sister is a resident at Woodland Care Home, has been for over twelve months. I visit her every week and have found all the staff to be very kind and caring to the residents. They treat them with dignity, diplomacy and very often heard them using quite a bit of psychology and it has worked. My sister loves it at the home, although, not knowing, sadly, what is happening now. It is such a happy environment, makes me happy to think she is being cared for so well.

When entering a care home you look for the signs that will give an indication of the way the home is run. Woodland Care Home displays an array of competence which is reassuring to the patient or visitor. The staff are most helpful and nothing seems too much trouble. I was most happy with the care given to my wife and would recommend Woodland to anyone.
