Alphington Lodge has been founded on the principle that staff treat residents as their own mother or father would want to be treated. All staff take pride on not just being a care home but as an extended family for all residents.

As a residential home, residents tend to be quite able, but still require the love and support that can only be received through a 24-hour care home. The...

Mum came to Alphington Lodge in May 2023 after being in hospital. The transition from the hospital to the home was amazing - I was so grateful.
Mum is as happy as she can be having gone from independent living to residential care.

The staff go above and beyond for their care and thoughtfulness for Mum.

My aunty has been in Alphington Lodge for eighteen months and from day one she has received wonderful care from five members of staff in particular.
They give her every support she needs although she can be difficult at times due to her conditions.

It's very difficult to watch at times but the staff have been outstanding. 10/10 .

Our aunt is receiving personalised, thoughtful care. Her health and well-being have visibly improved while at Alphington Lodge. She is able to socialise and spend time outside of her room and is encouraged to improve her mobility day by day. We are most grateful to the staff there for everything they do.

We, as a family, have had the pleasure of my gran passing in this family feel home, after spending a wonder three years there. Since covid ended and a new manager came in just over a year ago, the home has grown from being good to excellent in my view. The carers are so dedicated to care; we often see a few of them on their days off coming in not to work, but spending time with residents. They don't just care for residents they care for residents' families too, especially near the end of grans life - cups of tea and sandwiches were offered - relief during our sad time.

It is with absolute pleasure to rate Alphington Lodge, a full 100% rating My grandad lived with this wonderful team for over 2 years and his personal care was always taken good care of, clean fresh clothes and smelled lovely too. He ate well and was given a daily healthy choice, he was able to eat as an abled person initially, but towards his end of life, he was fed and assisted to drink as well.
The team always made his days happy and had such a pleasing rapport with him, never a dull moment,

The home was clean and inviting with friendly staff faces and professional.

My aunt had been a resident since mid-January. She was in and out of the hospital and then received end-of-life care from your staff at Alphington Longe.

The care she received was second to none. The staff got to know my aunt well, and they kept in touch with the family. They were open and honest, as we had not been in this situation before. I would recommend Alphington Lodge to anyone looking for a "home from home" residential home.

My mum lived at Alphington Lodge from January 2023 until she passed away, at the end of May 2023.
Mum received lovely care and was treated with respect and kindness, from the whole team. They are all professional, caring, and have a lovely disposition, it was as if they had been hand-picked for this very important role.
As a family, we were always met by a happy, smiley member of the team.

I would highly recommend Alphington Lodge as somewhere for your loved one to go. Thank you to all the staff.

My great-grandad used to live in Alphington Lodge, we found the care staff very good at what they did, always making sure that my grandad had what he needed and being very comforting. Management was really good at what they did and I never had to worry about anything for him. The staff are really friendly and helpful to me and my family, especially one of the carers in particular. She was great. This home is very recommended.

My mother has been a resident since November 2022, due to mobility problems. I cannot speak highly enough of all the staff at Alphington Lodge, they are all professional whilst also being very caring and friendly and do make the home feel like a Home from Home. My mother is very happy there and has a lovely room where she can see lots of people coming and going. Thank you very much all at Alphington Lodge.

My friend came to Alphington Lodge back in the autumn. When I came to visit her, I was blown over by the feeling of warm love and care in the home. The staff, management, carers, cleaner and activity person are just so helpful and kind. My friend hasn't been so happy for a while, until she came in here, so happy, very clean and enjoying the company of all the other residents. My recommendation would be 200% for the overall experience I have had.

Mum entered Alphington Lodge in October 2022, initially only for a temporary period, so it was a lovely surprise to find a little note on a whiteboard in her appointed room bearing a smiley face and a welcome greeting hoping that she would settle in well. Her stay has now become permanent, and she is exceedingly happy to be there. The staff are kind, attentive and caring and work well together as a team, which makes all the difference. They consistently ensure that all her needs are met, and altogether, they have created a warm, friendly atmosphere where nothing is too much trouble. The meals that the kitchen provides are of the highest quality, being tasty, varied and nutritious. In addition to this, the home is linked to a well-run GP practice, and when Mum has needed unexpected urgent medical help, she has been attended to immediately. This care home is one of the best I have encountered, and I feel safe in the knowledge that Mum is treated with such respect, dignity and love by all there.

My auntie has come after a long stay in hospital and needed respite care. She has made a good improvement in the short time she has been here. The staff have a great understanding of her needs and care. She has enjoyed the food and the choice. Understanding her and her requirements has been important to regain her strength.

There is always a welcome when we arrive. Dad has built good relationships with staff. Communication is prompt and usually goes to my sister, we are happy to be contacted too. Staff are supportive around our dad's decline and increase in need and when he has been poorly or had a fall. Dad always speaks about how much he enjoyed his cooked breakfast.

Mother has been living happily at Alphington Lodge for over 2 years and is well cared for. The staff are caring and competent and the systems and safeguarding in place are well implemented and well managed. Staff work hard, there is a low staff turnover so continuity of care is excellent. They handle my mother's dementia, poor mobility, postural hypotension, diet and social contact to keep her safe and I would certainly recommend the home.

I have a friend at Alphington Lodge who is getting on very well since moving in 2021. The home accommodated her very well and had a very good system during Covid, which I was pleased with. They let my friend video call during Covid into Church services so life could feel as normal as possible; I thought this was a very lovely thing to do for the residents. I would recommend it if you're looking for a place for a friend or relative to stay.

Mum has lived in Alphington Lodge for 3 1/2 years, and has a lovely bright, airy room. She is very well cared for by the absolutely amazing staff, and is treated with kindness, respect and consideration. She is happy, content, loves the staff, and celebrated her 100th birthday in January. I highly recommend Alphington Lodge to anyone looking for a wonderful home, with caring staff, for their loved ones.
