Alphington Lodge

Mum is really settled here and the manager and the staff are fantastic and doing a great job. Mum can be demanding at times but they treat her with respect and dignity. I would not want her to be anywhere else.

Mother has been living happily at Alphington Lodge for over 2 years and is well cared for. The staff are caring and competent and the systems and safeguarding in place are well implemented and well managed. Staff work hard, there is a low staff turnover so continuity of care is excellent. They handle my mother's dementia, poor mobility, postural hypotension, diet and social contact to keep her safe and I would certainly recommend the home.

I have a friend at Alphington Lodge who is getting on very well since moving in 2021. The home accommodated her very well and had a very good system during Covid, which I was pleased with. They let my friend video call during Covid into Church services so life could feel as normal as possible; I thought this was a very lovely thing to do for the residents. I would recommend it if you're looking for a place for a friend or relative to stay.

Mum has lived in Alphington Lodge for 3 1/2 years, and has a lovely bright, airy room. She is very well cared for by the absolutely amazing staff, and is treated with kindness, respect and consideration. She is happy, content, loves the staff, and celebrated her 100th birthday in January. I highly recommend Alphington Lodge to anyone looking for a wonderful home, with caring staff, for their loved ones.

Always when I visit my mum in Alphington Lodge it's always a warm welcome from the staff whoever is on duty. Mum always seems happy enough there and the staff do their best to care for her even when there are fewer staff than there should be at times. Security is also very good as far as I am concerned.

Dad initially went to stay at Alphington Lodge for short-term care, settled in quickly, and was happy there. When it became obvious that Dad wouldn't be able to return home, our family was delighted that it was possible to arrange long-term care at Alphington Lodge. Dad has a lovely, airy, en suite room, enjoys the food, and is well looked after by the caring staff. He has built up a good rapport with many of them. Dad can be a stubborn man and has found it hard to acknowledge that he now has limited mobility, however, the staff handle this well. It is a relief for the family to know that he is safe. Dad says that the home is very satisfactory and he is pleased he is able to stay at Alphington Lodge.

My mother has just gone into Alphington Lodge, and she has settled in really well, all the staff are so caring and nothing is too much for them and the residents have also made mum really welcome and have shown and made friends with her. And I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone, it is a five-star care home.

My mum has been here for five weeks and she loves it, she says the food is lovely. Her room is very nice and the staff is all so kind and caring. She has also made some friends too. Mum is looking better than she has for a long time thanks to all the care she is receiving and I am so happy that she likes it there and I am happy too knowing that she is being looked after so well. I can’t praise them enough.

My father has been a resident at Alphington Lodge for around 3 years now. I have always found the care staff and management very helpful, caring, and responsive. My dad is well cared for. He enjoys the food, time spent with other residents in the lounge, and taking part in the many activities.

With COVID 19 they are again helping us to visit Mum in difficult times.

My Grandmother moved into Alphington Lodge on respite, it was a very difficult time for us as a family due to Covid-19. Everyone at Alphington Lodge made Gran's transition to the home as easy as it could be during this time. Gran is very happy, settled and I hope her stay can be made permanent. I know she is safe, being well looked after and happy.

My mother lived in Alphington Lodge for over 3 years. She died in January 2020. Despite being heavily handicapped after a stroke and dementia which increased over the years she was happy, well cared for and the girls and staff were wonderfully patient and took care of her physical and mental well-being. I was very grateful for their dedication and have seen the improvements that have been made over the years. Although there is still room for improvement I feel that the management is making the necessary steps required to obtain the needed results. Thank you once again.

Have only been here a few weeks and have settled in well. Staff very friendly and helpful.

I have been so relieved that following a fracture and in need of continuing care my my=um was fortunate enough to be placed in such a lovely home for her convalescence. The staff have made her so welcome and have shown such care and compassion. As she adjusts to this new way of living both mum and I are happy that she is now going to stay permanently. Would highly recommend Alphington Lodge.

I can't fault it here. There is nothing that I don't need that hasn't been done. Staff are good and friendly.

Friendly and helpful staff and management. Room is clean and tidy. My mother in law is happy and contented.

My mum has been particularly unwell this month. The staff are all amazing, taking care of her and her welfare. They tidy and clean her room when she has 'trashed' it. They phone and invite the doctor to see her regularly. Their care is exceptional and it is reassuring to know that Mum is safe and extremely well looked after. No one can do enough for her - even when she exhibits challenging behaviour. Thank you!

I'm happy here. If my husband's needs weren't so high I would have been happy for him to come here too.

Anything I ask I get, I'm treated with dignity because they let me choose how I wish to do things. The staff are very good, I don't have to put the bell on as they are always here for me. My room is beautiful and I love it, it's large and I've made it home. I'm picky with my food but they give me different things so I get what I want, it's clean here - it's lovely.
