Alphington Lodge has been founded on the principle that staff treat residents as their own mother or father would want to be treated. All staff take pride on not just being a care home but as an extended family for all residents.

As a residential home, residents tend to be quite able, but still require the love and support that can only be received through a 24-hour care home. The residents enjoy a friendly, happy, home-from-home atmosphere - getting to know the carers and their fellow residents well.

Residents are encouraged to join in on the daily activities, eat well, sleep well and socialise. The home is very focused on helping its residents to recapture that sparkle for life. And as a smaller home, staff treat the residents as individuals and have time to pay attention to the little things.

Alphington Lodge provides long-term residential care and also day-care. In day-care, individuals may choose to join the home during the day but go back to their own home during the night.

Alphington Lodge also provides support for shorter visits (for example coming for a couple of hours to join for a cup of tea and a bath) and joining in activities with the home's friendly little family.

The home is proud to be a winner of the Top 20 Mid-Sized Care Home Groups, 2024 and 2025.

My mother has just gone into Alphington Lodge, and she has settled in really well, all the staff are so caring and nothing is too much for them and the residents have also made mum really welcome and have shown and made friends with her. And I would not hesitate to recommend this care home to anyone,
it is a five-star care home.

My mum has been here for five weeks and she loves it, she says the food is lovely. Her room is very nice and the staff is all so kind and caring. She has also made some friends too. Mum is looking better than she has for a long time thanks to all the care she is receiving and I am so happy that she
likes it there and I am happy too knowing that she is being looked after so well. I can’t praise them enough.

My father has been a resident at Alphington Lodge for around 3 years now. I have always found the care staff and management very helpful, caring, and responsive. My dad is well cared for. He enjoys the food, time spent with other residents in the lounge, and taking part in the many activities.

Alphington Lodge, has been amazing for my mother, her health and state of mind has improved beyond all belief.
She was not easy to deal with when she first went into the home, but with help and understanding from all the staff and management she has settled into her new life.
She is now enjoying life
again.

My Grandmother moved into Alphington Lodge on respite, it was a very difficult time for us as a family due to Covid-19. My mother lived in Alphington Lodge for over 3 years. She died in January 2020. Despite being heavily handicapped after a stroke and dementia which increased over the years she was happy, well cared for and the girls and staff were wonderfully patient and took care of her physical and mental well-being.
I was very grateful for their dedication and have seen the improvements that have been made over the years. Although there is still room for improvement I feel that the management is making the necessary steps required to obtain the needed results. Thank you once again.

I have been so relieved that following a fracture and in need of continuing care my my=um was fortunate enough to be placed in such a lovely home for her convalescence. My mum has been particularly unwell this month. The staff are all amazing, taking care of her and her welfare. They tidy and clean her room when she has 'trashed' it. They phone and invite the doctor to see her regularly. Their care is exceptional and it is reassuring to know that Mum is safe and extremely
well looked after. No one can do enough for her - even when she exhibits challenging behaviour. Thank you!

Anything I ask I get, I'm treated with dignity because they let me choose how I wish to do things. The staff are very good, I don't have to put the bell on as they are always here for me. My room is beautiful and I love it, it's large and I've made it home. I'm picky with my food but they give me different
things so I get what I want, it's clean here - it's lovely.
