Thankfully Doveridge had a room when we needed help, and everyone couldn't have been kinder. I come every day and there is always a lovely greeting from the staff, and tea or coffee if required. Activiries and entertainment are there for those who are able to enjoy.

An elderly friend of the family was taken in on respite reluctantly on his behalf I might add, I let him settle in for a few days then visited from the friendly greeting/signing in then through the well maintained and nice smelling home to where he was engaged in games and music with fellow residents I was really impressed and surprised that his whole idea of a carehome had changed and he was participating and enjoying his time there after being offered and taking refreshments I talked to staff and was very impressed.
The home is welcoming, with very kind and hospitable workers. Very festive and calming for both myself and grandmother. The friendly staff offered us a drink when we arrived. Also overhearing other conversation's, it was lovely to hear everyone being so helpful and kind.

We were welcomed today with a lovely christmas decorated atmosphere. STaff were friendly and warm. Mum had her hair freshly washed and styled. The home arranged for our family to sit all together in one of the lounges. Thank you Doveridge for the amazing care you give to mum and made us feel welcome.

From the moment the staff open the front door you are greeted by cheery smiles and welcoming staff. You can have a little banter and chat as your taken to your loved one. Mum was on end of life care when she arrived at Doveridge and we were expecting the worst. Over a few weeks mum started eating, drinking, gained much needed weight. Although she's still frail the staff never gave up on her. She's happy, warm, well cared for and loves her life there. What else could we possibly want.

This has all been a new experience for me, and it's been beautiful from the start. The staff are so kind and caring, and I have enjoyed getting to know the other people here. When I am at home, I feel a little poorly in the mornings, but since being here, I've had no issue with this at all. I am so pleased I did this and would feel happy to do it again.

Mum arrived 2-and-a-half months ago and has already settled in well. Management is very professional and Mum's safety and security is treated with very high importance. Staff (carers and activity) are excellent, incredibly caring and have really got to know Mum so she has settled quickly. Communication is great and I feel listened to as Mum's daughter/carer. Mum loves to be busy so the varied activities keep her occupied and independent. Feel so blessed to have found Doveridge as Mum says she 'loves being there'. Thank you x

I love how quickly Mum has settled here since arriving in April. She says she loves it here and I can see why. The staff are genuinely warm and caring and Mum has so much mental stimulation here. As a relative I have always been made to feel very welcome when I visit.

I have waited purposely for my review of Doveridge so I may give an honest and knowledgeable opinion. My mum has been a resident for approximately 10 months and I can honestly say I can't be happier to see how she has thrived. Her needs are met and surpassed by the wonderful staff who are given the freedom to spend time with each resident and really get to know them. The food is excellent with a choice for all requirements. As it's a small home it has a very homely feeling which so many lack and this reflects in the contentment of residents. There is plenty of entertainment on tap and trips out which are thoroughly enjoyed. I have to take my cap off to the management because as we know the home is only as good as those that run it and this home is wonderful.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We are thrilled to hear about how happy you are seeing your mum thrive. Thank you for feeding back how wonderful the staff are and that the overall experience has been 5 stars at Doveridge. We will pass on your kind words to the team.

Very friendly staff. Give a cup of coffee and ice cream. Great! Like being at home only better. The manager is very kind.
My mum lives at Doveridge and has dementia, it means the world to us that she is so well cared for when we couldn't keep her at home any longer. Doveridge has become family to us and mum is treated with so much love and respect. I would like to thank all the staff for their care, plus my dad has gone from living with mum and being married for over 60 years to being home alone. The staff appreciate this and he is there for lunches with mum and can go whenever he likes to be with her. We are always made to feel so welcome with a cup of tea or offer of food and drink every visit. Mum is content at Doveridge and although it's always hard to put a loved one in care when you find the right place it makes all the difference and the worry goes away. As a family we would always recommend Doveridge. They do a great job and it's a lovely place, with a family feel.

Meet the Team (1)

I have worked in the care industry for 21 years, I started my career doing homecare which I really enjoyed and this fitted around young children commitments at the time. I had a slight change of career in care when the children were old enough for me to do this, I worked in a children's care home as a support worker for children with challenging behaviour and autism, this was an enjoyable challenge and I learnt a lot of different skills.
I got into care as it was something I was always interested in and caring is very natural to my personality.
Outside of work family time is important, I have 2 very young grandchildren who I enjoy watching grow up, I enjoy travelling so every opportunity I am jetting off somewhere warm.
