Welcomed by senior and junior staff that helped put my mother who was reluctant of receiving any care at all though suffering from Dementia and recovering from a cataract operation. Within minutes my mother was drinking tea, eating biscuits and enjoying the attention. She then was off to be shown around
the home, and introduced herself to other residents, putting myself at ease that I had made the right choice.

My grandad had a fall and became very unwell, we had to find a care home quickly. Doveridge Care Home was brilliant and could take him on the same day as I phoned to enquire about a room (respite). He has been very happy here and very well looked after, the only reason for leaving is because he requires
full nursing care now.

My mum has just had a short respite at Doveridge after becoming very restless and withdrawn at home. The staff were patient, caring and understanding. They reassured her and kept her safe and occupied. She even joined in some activities towards the end of her stay. The whole family felt very happy with

Doveridge is an excellent care home. I have made some friends and enjoy my time with them. The staff help me where needed and we have a laugh together and I enjoy activities. I could have not chosen a better home. I am so happy at Doveridge.

Since Mum has been at Doveridge she has been so much better, always content and bright-eyed. I have seen my 'mum' again and hadn't seen her for a couple of years. She is loved by the staff who are so kind, they even bring their kids in to see her.
Doveridge has brought Mum back to us - we could not

I have been coming into Doveridge for quite a few years, once a week, visiting a resident and I am also a carer myself. The staff are brilliant, always happy, nothing is too much trouble.
Lots of laughter in the home each resident is treated with respect and dignity.
I go into various homes and would
have no hesitation in recommending Doveridge Colyton as the best.

The Doveridge staff is exceptionally kind and patient. They were also accommodating when my mother needed a new mattress because of her arthritis.
Mummy's room was cheerful, with windows at both ends. She was only there temporarily before moving to a new care home in another part of the country but
was very well cared for while there.

After merely a few weeks here, a definite transformation is noticeable in my mother. She has never been difficult, but now it is obvious that she is positively happy. The care is excellent. Mother thrives when she get such personal, empathetic attention. We look forward to the coming weeks and to an

Job Title: Registered Manager Joined: 2023

I have been with Doveleigh Care for nearly 8 years, starting as an assistant manager (team leader) progressing to a deputy, acting manager and now at present registered manager, I started at Dove Court for 6 years where I became manager and moved to Doveridge to learn different skills working with residents with a diagnosis of dementia.
I have worked in the care industry for 21 years, I started my career doing homecare which I really enjoyed and this fitted around young children commitments at the time. I had a slight change of career in care when the children were old enough for me to do this, I worked in a children's care home as a support worker for children with challenging behaviour and autism, this was an enjoyable challenge and I learnt a lot of different skills.
I got into care as it was something I was always interested in and caring is very natural to my personality.
Outside of work family time is important, I have 2 very young grandchildren who I enjoy watching grow up, I enjoy travelling so every opportunity I am jetting off somewhere warm.
