The day my mum was going to Netherhayes she was very upset, I tried to reassure her that she was going to a wonderful place and how right I was. Mum's last year at Netherhayes was filled with fun, laughter, and immense kindness, nothing was too much trouble from the staff. The staff made sure on a daily basis that there were always activities to keep the residents happy.

I will always be grateful for the care and understanding they gave my mum in her last year.

I visit my friend in this home often. The manager and staff have always gone out of their way to make sure not only the residents are happy, but visitors such as myself are happy too and nothing is too much trouble. Such a beautiful and clean home, and in my visits, it's lovely to see everybody laughing and getting involved! My friend seems very content at Netherhayes, which we are very pleased to see.

Staff are very obliging when you ring up they always put you on to the correct person. If there are any issues with the resident or any updates on their care, the staff let you know right away.
My father has said a few times that he has been left to last to eat at breakfast time, in particular, as he needs the staff to assist him. But he hasn't eaten since 5 pm the night before and has still been waiting for breakfast at 10:30 the following morning. I am raising this issue personally with the manager.

It's not always easy to see where the weekly fee goes. He likes to join in the activities in the lounge but he has spent a lot of time in bed recently.

The manager and staff at Netherhayes are marvellous; I cannot praise them highly enough. They’re kind, caring, patient, observant, interactive, entertaining, inventive and happy.
Mum was offered a place during lockdown, so I was unable to visit to confirm it was right for her, but I’m glad I went with them as it is in the town where she had lived for 30+ years, and she was so happy there for the final six months of her life.
Not only did they care for my mum beautifully, but they also looked after me when I was with her during end of life care.

I definitely recommend Netherhayes.

I visit a friend weekly and always find Netherhayes a very happy and friendly home. The staff are very gentle, kind and very caring. Nothing is too much trouble. Today I was visiting from 2-4 pm, and in the first hour a lady came in to sing to the residents, which they thoroughly enjoyed and joined in the singing, some got up and danced. After that, they had great fun pancake tossing and a lot of laughter.

On the 29th February 2016, my wife entered Netherhayes. She had suffered for 10 years with memory loss and dementia. In February this year, aged 95, she died and I have had time to reflect. I have decided that when the manager said she was happy to accept her for care at Netherhayes, this was indeed our lucky day. I do not think we could have found a care home suited to our needs or where she would have been happier. From the onset, she was treated with the utmost TLC by each and every member of staff, coupled with respect and dignity. The staff were always a happy team who willingly helped one another whenever necessary. The home appears a wonderful balance of efficiency within a welcoming, relaxed atmosphere. As a daily visitor, I was always made most welcome. On these occasions, I could also see how others were similarly well cared for and entertained with music, singing and activities. There was a time when I was apprehensive about having to place my dear wife into care. Having found refuge at Netherhayes, I know her final year could not have been spent in a better place; a great comfort to me.

Staff are very caring and considerate. Home is clean and smells well. In the last 18 months, there has been an improvement - more decorations and lighter mood, up-to-date newsletters.

Staff are very positive about my 101-year-old mother. Can't ask for anything more!
