Overall Experience
My mother joined Netherhayes Care Home in Seaton, Devon, after a short stay in hospital. Sadly, she passed away in May 2026. My mother wasn't the most social person. The wonderful carers always made sure she joined in all the fun. She enjoyed the various entertainment and would join in with singing the words and jigging with her zimmer frame. Mum enjoyed all the entertainment that was organised. I would like to thank the lovely manager and her wonderful team of carers who always go above and beyond their duties of care and support to all the residents.

My dad's been in Netherhayes for a few months now and has settled in well. We are very impressed with all the daily activities and the friendliness of the staff too. It is great to see the social media updates with pictures and that you are able to take him outside as well.
We find the mobile app very informative and reassuring, it is an easy way to keep up with what is happening on the days we are unable to visit.

Overall Experience
For the last 8 months our mum has been a resident at Netherhayes Care Home in Seaton, Devon. We cannot thank the staff enough for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness mum receives at Netherhayes. Every member of staff treats Mum with dignity, warmth, and genuine affection, ensuring that she feels safe, comfortable, and valued. The care the team provides is consistently of the highest standard, and it is always clear that the team truly care about mums wellbeing and happiness. The kindness shown to our dad, who visits Mum every day, is equally remarkable. The staff always welcome Dad warmly and provide him with friendship, support, and reassurance during what can often be difficult times. Their compassion extends beyond Mum and Dad to our entire family, and we always feel included, informed, and supported. What makes Netherhayes so special is that the staff and managers feel like an extension of our family. Highly recommended Netherhayes

Overall Experience
What a fantastic care home, my aunt has a beautiful light airy big room. Sunningdale is immaculately clean and fresh, beautiful conservatory looking onto a lovely garden. The staff are all so friendly and work very hard. My aunt was very poorly after leaving hospital and the care at Sunningdale has improved her health greatly. I am always allowed into her room to put things in for her , whatever time I go it's very clean and tidy. I was even allowed to take the dog in to see her. My aunt enjoys the food and has put on a bit of weight. They have lots of activities for residents including chair t'ai chi and jewellery making. I wish I had known about this lovely place when my dad went into care a few years ago as his experience was very different.
Thank you all at Sunningdale for really caring.

Although Magnolia House is an old building, it feels like a proper 'home' for my mother. It has an open, welcoming atmosphere to visitors who are made to feel part of the 'family'. Every effort is made to cater to my mother's needs, and the staff do their utmost to accommodate her wishes. We have been encouraged to make her room as near to her own home as possible, which makes all of us more comfortable.

My mum (95 years), has now been in the home for the last 15 months. She absolutely loves it. The staff are exceptional and we have absolute peace of mind knowing that she is very well taken care of. There are activities every day which both stimulate her physically and mentally. She has a better social schedule than we do. I don't know of any other home that had visits from miniature alpacas or birds of prey. Our eternal thanks for taking such good care of her.
