Thank you so much for the lovely review, your feedback is so important to the team and the continuous improvement of our home. It was an absolute pleasure to provide the care and support to such a lovely lady. Your mother was well-loved by all and is very sadly missed.Best wishes, the team at Puddavine Court
We are sorry that the complainant felt the need to write such a review. We have worked tirelessly with herself and her partner, who was the resident at the home, to facilitate, what was a respite care stay, asked for at very short notice. We accepted the lady's written complaint on leaving the home and responded accordingly. We recognise that everyone has a right to state how they found the care home, however we did try to facilitate the gentleman's stay to the best of our ability and have already written back to this lady with our thoughts and apologies. The home has been recently refurbished and has a team of maintenance personnel on site with an on-going maintenance programme. We can only say that no other review has ever been so critical.
Thank you for your kind words, your mother was a pleasure to look after and will be sadly missed by us all. We always try to do our best to ensure our families and our residents have the quality care and time they deserve throughout their stay with us especially when they are at the end of their life.
Best wishes, the team at Puddavine Court
Thank you for the lovely review. We appreciate that the last year has been extremely difficult for our relatives wondering if their loved one is being cared for and is happy. The visiting restrictions have been hard on us all. We are pleased that your relative has been shown the kindness and patience that she deserves whilst being in our care and of course we have let the named carer know. We look forward to welcoming our families back as further restrictions are reduced and getting back to some sort of normality that our residents deserve.
Thank you for your review. The staff appreciate your generous feedback in knowing that what they are doing is recognised by families and how much you trust us with your loved ones and it is lovely to hear that mum is happy and settled. It is a pleasure to be a part of this team, especially during these unprecedented times. We apologise for the Wi-Fi situation and we will hopefully get this resolved as quickly as possible so that mum can start to enjoy her life fully in the home. Kind regards
Thank you for your lovely review. We are pleased to look after your mother and our residents through these strange times. We all miss the visitors in the home but we look forward to welcoming you and other relatives back in over Christmas.

For the last 25 years I've been a Registered Care Manager, 14 of which, with the Devon Care Group. I have worked at 4 DCG homes, ranging from a small 24 bedded home a nursing home and now to one of the bigger homes with 45 beds. I have gained a lot of experience over this time and understand the importance of having a caring and strong team. I like to work with young carers to bring the future managers through so good care continues and to show how rewarding the job is. I've always been passionate about people being cared for in a way that brings out the best in them.
I am currently returning to my role as Deputy Manager at Puddavine court, as I have been off on maternity leave since March 2024. I have been working as Deputy Manager at Puddavine for the last 2 years. I am 29 years young and have over 10 years of experience working within the residential care setting. I actually started my career as a carer within Devon Care Group all those years ago and I haven’t looked back since! I have always had a passion for caring and making a positive difference in people’s lives.
I have been a Senior carer for a few years now. I love running my shift to the best of my capabilities, but it is made all that much easier with the good team of carers we have. There are many aspects to our roles, but Palliative Care is something that I am passionate about and feel that it is a real privilege to care for someone at this time of their lives. It is lovely to be able to pass down knowledge gained along my way to the team that share this interest also. Away from work I am kept busy with my pets and family members, I like to relax with a good book or gardening weather permitting!
