I have roughly lived here for fourteen years, I've enjoyed my time here. The staff are always friendly. I live quite near my daughter and she comes to see me quite often as its only up the road. I have a lovely room and I love the food here. I go out to dinner with staff and other outings. I enjoy the garden in the summer, I stay up and watch t.v most evenings it's just like being at home.

Overall Experience

My mother has been here for the last 3 years, with Parkinsons and now Dementia and is now receiving end of life care at present, for which as a family we are eternally grateful to know that she is receiving the best possible care with the greatest dignity. The staff here are truly wonderful and a pleasure to be with despite the difficulty of all the other residents, my mother could not be in better hands than here.

Samantha Humphris
Samantha Humphris Job Title: Home Manager Joined: 2025

As Home Manager and registered nurse, I bring over 14 years of experience across residential care, hospital settings, and community nursing. My journey into care began through family influence and grew into a lifelong passion. I’ve worked my way up through a variety of roles, which gives me a deep respect for every part of the team and the importance each department plays in making a house a home.

I’m passionate about person-centred care and creating a warm, supportive environment where residents are truly known and valued. I’m also a strong advocate for people living with dementia, believing they should be empowered to live well, with meaning, joy, and the freedom to enjoy what they love each day.

My vision is for our home to grow with the needs of our community, providing high-quality, individualised care that reflects the diverse and changing needs of our ageing population. I work closely with families and staff to ensure we build trust, provide reassurance, and create a space where everyone feels safe, connected, and at home.

Outside of work, I’m happiest when spending time with my family and chocolate Labrador, or off on an adventure in my campervan. I’m also a very proud “cool auntie” to a bunch of brilliant nieces and nephews. Whether I’m getting in the sea at the beach, letting them do my hair and makeup, or getting messy baking in the kitchen, making memories with them is one of my greatest joys.
