Have visited this facility several times and always found the staff very helpful and they have time for you.The home is always well kept and rooms are clean and tidy. During the pandemic, everyone was aware of the procedures and there were no problems with the staff and the residents.
It's been a pleasure caring and supporting your brother over the years and he is now part of our family as well as yours. Steve Todd, Manager.
My brother came into residence here on 6th July 2021 with short term memory loss. He has come on leaps and bounds with the fantastic care and support within Vane Hill. Staff and management have been fantastic to both me and my brother during his time here. I can't thank all of them enough for the duty of care and support given to my brother. Big thumbs up from myself and keep up the good work.

My family and I are so grateful that my late brother found a 'home' as well as excellent care at Vane Hill Care Home. It is a place run by people who care about the residents who give them daily care as needed and who want to see them happy. We were kept informed of all the covid precautions taken at the home and rules regarding visiting. My brother was included in outings and activities - to the extent he wanted to be. I noted how positively the staff interacted with him and I believe they enjoyed his humour at times too. We had peace of mind that he was in a safe and caring home. It is set in beautiful surroundings and overlooks the sea. I definitely recommend this care home and the management and staff.
Thank you so much for taking the time to send us this lovely review. We are so sorry for your loss and our thoughts are with you and your family. It is heart-warming to hear that your brother found a home at Vane Hill and we are pleased that the care and interaction he received from our staff...
In Vane Hill, the manager and staff truly enhanced the final years of the life of our brother who recently passed away peacefully. Care over those years was provided in a secure, comfortable, happy and restful environment which gave serenity for our brother when it was most needed and for which we will be forever grateful. The care received from the staff was exceptional, full of sensitivity and kindness. I had a particularly lengthy visit there pre covid, where another brother and I had a few hours in the warmth of the lovely garden there and many staff came by to say hello. It seemed more like an extended family than a care home. We could see too how they had the measure of our brother’s character and personality which they respected. Our brother spoke very well of the care, the food and how contented he was. As a family, we are and will continue to be forever thankful for the love and care shown to our brother by the wonderful manager and staff of Vane Hill Care home.
Thank you for your kind words and for taking the time to write this wonderful review of our Vane Hill Care Home. As a family-run provider, we know the importance of family and would like to extend our deepest condolences for your loss. It is lovely to know that your brother was content at Vane Hill...
The personalised care that the staff provide to the service users is outstanding. Because of this, it allows the residents to gain their own independence and express their personalities. The facilities that they provide are excellent which allows the residents to live comfortably and they know that they are secure. This facility should be a model for how all care homes and residential homes should be run.
I will personally ensure that all the team are aware of your comments and feedback. Kindest Regards.
When we went years ago, the place was excellent. My brother is satisfied and told us he is happy at Vane Hill. The only extra help he needs is a little bit of help with his passport documents from his social worker. Thanks.
