My Dad wasn't too thrilled at the prospect of going into a care home and initially we 'sold' it to him that it would be for a short period of respite care following a 4-month stay in hospital. He has now been a resident at Evergreens for just over 2 years now and his care is excellent with an extremely low turnover of staff which I think is reassuring for the residents. The staff are amazing, treat all the residents with care and respect and are always so welcoming and friendly. The Evergreens comes across as a very happy home. Sadly Dad is not very mobile now and his dementia is getting worse but they do their best to encourage him to join in the many activities arranged on a daily basis. The food always looks healthy, varied and appetising and on the few occasions I've been visiting whilst he has lunch he definitely enjoys it. His room is nicely decorated (with added touches from home) and is always clean and tidy. His laundry is done on a regular basis along with his bedding.

My father recently moved to the Evergreens but already feels as if he has been there forever! He feels 'at home', settled and content. He is treated with respect and dignity by all members of staff, a team of consistently friendly, caring professionals. They are led by strong management who encourage both residents and family members to see the Evergreens as home. We do! My father loves his room, the delicious food and the excellent staff. I am given the same warm welcome every time I visit. I am so grateful that my father is living in such a loving home, that what the Evergreens aspires to achieve, that residents feel at home, is exactly what is achieved. My father absolutely feels at home!

My mother-in-law has now been a resident of Evergreens for nearly two years, and in that time, she has been welcomed and treated with respect and dignity by the care manager and his dedicated team. Despite her dementia deteriorating over the last few months, she is always encouraged to join in with the daily entertainment and events provided, but the staff respect her wishes when she decides not to participate to enjoy her own company. Her room is light and airy and is always clean and tidy and well-maintained. The bedding is changed often, and her laundry is washed, dried and replaced in her room. The food menu is of good quality, varied according to her diet, prepared and well presented in the on-site kitchen.

Although it is disturbing to see her health deteriorating over the last few months, the staff are very friendly, caring and very supportive not only to her but also to us as a family. It is extremely reassuring to know that she is safe and secure and is receiving the care she now needs.

Mum was originally reluctant to go into a care home and we worried how she would cope. We needn't have done. The staff at Evergreens made her feel at home from the start. She received excellent care from friendly, attentive staff. Her room and the premises were always very clean and she was always well-turned out. She loved the entertainment provided and the trips out. We counted our blessings that we were able to find such a place for her.

Mum had been a resident at Evergreens for over two years, she was happy comfortable and well-fed there, the food was excellent from having stayed for lunch several times, and the food was always home-cooked and delicious. Mum's room was kept clean at all times including her bathroom. The staff were always pleasant informative and friendly and also offered tea to me when I visited which was very nice considering the workload. I was always kept well informed if Mum was taking any medicine or needed medical care as she was very dependent on the care later in her stay. Overall and nice friendly place for Mum's last home when she could no longer look after herself. Thank you to all of the staff at Evergreens.

My mum has been at Evergreens for a year now. Firstly, she feels safe and secondly, her health has improved since her arrival. But it is the staff I want to thank, every member is kind, caring and wants to help. They make me and my three sisters always welcome. Thank you all - it is a tough job which you all do effortlessly and with real empathy.

My mother has been at Evergreens for nine months now. I am delighted to say Mum is extremely happy and calls Evergreens home. All the staff are very helpful, caring and friendly. Most of all I find them very respectful towards the residents. The atmosphere in the home is homely, cosy and comfortable. I would recommend it to everyone.

When Mum moved into Evergreens in May, I knew that as a family we had made the right decision. Evergreens is such a warm and welcoming place. All the staff are so kind and caring and have really helped Mum settle into this next phase of her life. Everyone is very friendly and supportive and I can't thank them enough for all that they do. Would highly recommend.

A very caring, homely nursing home. The staff are wonderful and very kind. My dad has struggled to accept needing care and everyone has supported him every step of the way. Whilst he still finds it difficult he could not be in a more friendly, secure place. I sleep well at night knowing he is well cared for and respected.

I always find the home to be warm and friendly when I visit. The care my father gets is excellent. It has a good amount of consistency with carers. There is always a familiar smiling face to see. I feel my father is appreciative of the care he gets here. He is settled and well looked after which is a comfort to his family.

My stepmother stayed at the Evergreens for just over 3 years. She loved it there. She felt safe and was well looked after. The food was excellent and when I was able (pre-Covid) I joined her for several meals, which were superb and when it was her 90th birthday, even with Covid, she had her special day. The staff were always kind and helpful. She loved the activities and sitting in the garden with the other residents. The care and attention given to her by the care home staff was excellent. Living a long way away (4-hour journey) I always felt that she was safe and secure in this environment. I would thoroughly recommend this care home.

My mother-in-law stayed at Evergreens for some 5 years. She thoroughly enjoyed all elements of this delightful care home - the other residents - time in the conservatory - entertainment and pre- Covid outings. She gradually became less mobile and the care given was very good - she was encouraged to socialise. Whilst on end of life care she was cared for so professionally but with so much personal attention keeping her comfortable was a priority. Evergreens is well maintained - warm - friendly and caring.

Evergreens care home genuinely care about their residents. They have looked after my mother since July and have always been very caring and kind to my mother. Covid has made things very difficult but the team have done their very best to support us and keep everyone at the care home safe.

Evergreens has provided a safe and secure environment. I cannot praise the directors and management more highly for the kindness they showed us in supporting and helping my mum to settle. Their staff are kind and patient with a very independent lady, who entered the home during covid-19, who was confused and scared. I know we have made the best choice for our mum. Thank you.

My father was a resident here for over two years. During that time he thoroughly enjoyed his relationship with the staff who grew very fond of him. He could be quite a fussy eater but they always provided meals that he enjoyed. His room was kept clean and his clothes were regularly washed. He took part in a number of the afternoon activities and minibus trips. The Evergreens was an excellent choice.

My father-in-law has now been at Evergreens for 4 months. From the very beginning he was told to treat Evergreens as his own home, and he could have whatever he needed. I have found this to be the case. Evergreens has always been kind, caring, warm and safe. A great home. The staff are committed, kind and always on hand. Nothing is too much trouble. Residents are treated with respect and dignity. The food is excellent. I couldn't have chosen a better home.

Through the unsettled first few weeks, the staff and management have supported both my father and I - meaning that I have confidence that my father is being well cared for, supported and receiving all he needs.

On visiting the home for a number of hours I can see that the residents are happy and well cared for. The meals provided have been delicious.

The resident chose the home himself and felt it was just like home. Staff are friendly, caring and compassionate and always have time to chat and listen.
The home is like walking into a hotel, clean and inviting.
There was never a moment when you felt that you are a nuisance.

Working myself in the care sector I can appreciate all the excellent care that Evergreens provides.

I came into the rest home needing more care than I was able to give myself at home following two admissions to hospital which had left me exhausted. The staff here have been very welcoming and friendly and have ensured I have eaten plenty and rested well. I need to take eleven drugs daily and these have always been served in the appropriate doses and at the right time. When in my room, the staff check on me regularly and cheerfully supply anything I need. I find the ambience of the home very good and it is very easy to mix with the other residents.
