The Knoll Care Home offers quality personalised residential & dementia care for up to 29 residents in a pleasant countryside environment. The friendly and professional care team pride themselves in providing expert care and a comfortable and friendly atmosphere for both residents and their families. All team members are experienced in dementia care and they provide care in a person-centred way to make residents feel comfortable and included.
Facilities include a large communal lounge and dining room area that provides residents with the ideal environment to enjoy a wide range of activities, create friendships and interact with others. There is also a sun lounge area where residents can relax with their families. The Knoll Care Home has 24 fully furnished and spacious single bedrooms as well as 2 shared bedrooms that are perfect for married couples.
The passionate and dedicated care team work closely alongside residents and their families to provide quality care that is based on each resident’s specific needs. Friends and families are always welcome to visit and can even join their loved ones at meal times.
With strong links to the local community, there is always lots to do. From light exercise classes to weekly visits from local churches, the Activities Coordinator provides a large variety of daily activities that incorporate residents interests and wishes.

Every time we visit Dad at The Knoll Care Home the staff are kind and courteous, someone is always available to discuss concerns and these are dealt with promptly. Dad seems very content and has a good relationship with the staff.

My late mother was a resident in The Knoll Care Home for 2 and a half years. She suffered with dementia and mobility issues. The manager and all the staff in that time gave Mum the most considerate care and looked after all her needs with compassion and dignity.

My husband and I took my sister to The Knoll Care Home on Sunday 12th December 2021. This was necessitated by the fact that her husband, her carer, was in hospital at the time. I have been delighted by the excellent care my sister received there up until when she sadly died there yesterday 20th July 2022. She even managed to celebrate her 90th birthday in May 2022 and we had a little tea party to mark the occasion although, sadly, due to her illness with Alzheimer's, she was completely unaware of this herself. The manager and staff of The Knoll are excellent and always gave me updates on her condition when I rang them.

Whilst choosing residential care for a relative is often a challenging decision; The Knoll handled the transition extremely well, creating a welcoming and familiar atmosphere that not only met his physical needs but created an environment which support the transition from home. The room is light and airy and provides a wonderful countryside view, which gives hours of enjoyment. Food is varied, and excellent entertainment is regular and stimulating. I love getting to know each of our residents, learning about their hobbies, interests, and life stories so that I can create activities that are meaningful, enjoyable, and tailored to each individual. Building relationships with our residents and their families is one of the most rewarding parts of my role.
You’ll often find me out in the garden, enjoying a chat with residents and their loved ones, painting nails, or organising one of our many events and fundraisers—usually with a raffle book in hand! I aim to create a fun, welcoming environment where everyone feels included and has something to look forward to.

I've been the maintenance man at The Knoll since 2004, and no two days are ever the same! I love getting stuck into all sorts of jobs, learning new skills along the way, and finding creative solutions—I've always been pretty handy with my hands. Around The Knoll, I'm better known as the "Sweaty Man" because I'm always on the go, and I never miss the chance to hand out a chocolate treat to our residents each day. One of the best parts of my job is spending one-to-one time with the residents, having a chat, a laugh, and getting to know them. I've got a big heart, and making people smile is what it's all about.
When I'm not at work, you'll usually find me making memories with my grandchildren, who keep me busy, especially on our annual family day trips that I look forward to every year.
