My dads respite stay at Parton House was superb. The whole team displayed utter professionalism in their roles. Not only was dad happy and very well looked after, the communication and support shown to my mother, brother and myself was of the highest level. Thank you all concerned at the home.

After an unexpected illness with our Dad late last year, we found ourselves suddenly in the position of having to find a Home for Dad to move to. The Management Team at Parton House were so helpful and patient in explaining to us and Dad how their Home worked and how he could fit in. It was no doubt a daunting time for Dad, it definitely was for us, but the staff worked hard to help Dad settle in.
When we visit, it is so reassuring when we see the staff comment on something about Dad. It shows us that they have made time to talk to him about his life history, his likes and dislikes. It’s these little things that matter too.
We are always kept up to date with any medical conditions Dad has. The whole team are always busy, but stop to chat when they can. If we are not able to talk to the Management team when we are there, we know they will contact us as soon as they are free.

Parton House is always warm and welcoming. We feel we have chosen very well for Dad and he is very happy there.

My Mother has been in Parton House since July 2022. She had spent a few weeks of respite care in the home a couple of months previous so she knew a little of what to expect. She really was reluctant to go into care and leave her bungalow behind, we were very apprehensive about how things were going to progress. We should not have worried at all! She felt at home from the word go, at 100 years old this was a life-changing experience for her. The staff were so kind to her and put her at ease so quickly. Nothing is too much trouble, we and she cannot speak highly enough of them.

My dad has ben with Parton House since last summer. He wasn't keen on the move but it needed to happen. All members of the team bent over backwards to make Dad feel welcome and myself at ease with our decision.
He is very well cared for, there is genuine care for the resident's health and well-being. My dad has grown to love the carehome, the staff and the other residents have become his new friends and family.
Dad has been in hospital recently and staff have been amazingly supportive throughout the whole experience.

Dad and myself are looking forward to him returning back to Parton House!

After living at home most of her life she found it very difficult to move to a care home, but the staff have done a superb job in making her comfortable and settled in the care home. She is very happy and very well looked after.

My mother has been to three different care homes over the years and Parton House has by far been the best for so many reasons, always friendly staff, always clean, and never a bad smell. There is no such thing as a cheap care home however some homes are a lot more expensive than Parton. The other reason I have liked this home is its homely atmosphere, not like a 5* hotel but more like a large family home. I thoroughly recommend Parton House.

The staff and management are always welcoming and genuinely care. No request is too much trouble. Their knowledge of dealing with the elderly gives reassurance to those of us with little experience in this.

Parton House is so much more than a residential home, it is one big family unit. The Covid period was for our family a very difficult time as we live abroad, but we knew that mum was loved and well cared for by everyone who works at Parton House. There have been many changes in management since mum came to live in Parton House some not so good, but the combination of staff who work there now are just fantastic people who do so much more than their job requires. They provide mum with the best care and are always there if we need a chat. The staff are very friendly caring and professional, nothing is too much trouble. We know that mum is very happy and safe and we would recommend Parton House to anyone who is looking for a new home for their family member.

We were really apprehensive about having mum cared for in a home in fact we had many sleepless nights worrying about what to do for the best. She said she didn’t want to go but would be happy to do 2 weeks' respite. So that’s what we did. After a first home visit, we then arrived for respite in March 2022 we arrived and were greeted by the fab team who spoke to mum and reassured her she would be ok and they would look after her. At all times they spoke to mum they made sure she was aware of everything going on. We left very teary and again sleepless nights worrying if she was okay.

The manager, called us the following day to let us know how she was settling in and sent us some beautiful pictures of mum playing games with the other residents. That was the moment we knew it was right for mum. She has become more chatty, joining in games and activities, eating really well and above all, she is cared for. 2 weeks later mum decided to stay. Thank you Parton House you are all amazing.

Having looked at a number of care facilities we chose Parton House for its feel, facilities and staff. We have been very happy on a number of fronts and are delighted with the support and care we are seeing. In our opinion, it is a truly caring environment, clean, light and airy and providing exactly the support that is needed. We have no hesitation in recommending Parton House to others looking for somewhere for their loved ones.

Having cared for my relative for a number of years I was quite nervous about handing over the reins to someone else. Parton House has been fantastic with the care they have provided and continues to provide. Always kept updated and have been fantastic in keeping residents safe during Covid.

The home is always clean and tidy, the food looks and smells excellent and always treats available. The staff are so friendly and really do support the residents in every way.

During Covid when visits weren’t available, they helped assist with window visits, FaceTime calls and were always on hand for any questions we had. Thank you so much Parton House for the care you provide and very happy things are becoming a bit more normal with visits and days out with family.

Mum was welcomed into the care home and has found it to be very friendly, clean and comfortable, and the staff are fantastic. I have every trust in the staff because they inform me of all aspects of mum's care and as things happen. They dealt with the incredibly difficult situations during Covid very well indeed and so we felt very confident that mum was receiving all the necessary care and attention.

My father has been a resident for over 2 years.

He has been constantly well looked after and is generally happy and enjoys his interaction with the staff who have always been caring, kind and professional. Staff turnover is low so the relationships are constant and good.

Communication is very good among the senior nursing staff, with constant updates on any health issues.

The past two “Covid”, years have been really difficult for the Residents, Management, staff and families. With ever-changing policies and procedures, the management team led from the front, supporting and training staff to deal with new challenges but most of all ensuring that everything was done to keep all residents safe. Our family were so grateful for being kept informed, for all the love, care and support given to my Mum, especially at times like Christmas and birthdays. She said the staff were so caring; nothing was too much trouble, she felt part of their family.

My dear Mum was a resident for 4 years and sadly passed away in January 2022. The Manager, Assistant Manager and staff could not have been more supportive and compassionate towards me and my family. The Management team strive to meet the needs of all residents and are always seeking ways to improve the support and care they give to each individual, for the best quality of life. I highly recommend Parton House.

My grandmother has lived in Churchdown since 1969. As her health and mobility deteriorated, it was important to us as a family that we found somewhere, local and with familiar surroundings. Transitioning somewhere new can be a hugely emotional time for the person involved but the manager and her team quickly put us at ease. We are delighted with how well my grandmother has settled and adapted to the next phase in her life. The care provided is very person-centred and clearly reflects individual needs and preferences. Parton House is a well-run home, that provides excellent care.
