An activities coordinator makes sure there is always plenty to do and enjoy, and residents have access to Skype and WiFi to keep in touch with friends and family. A catering team prepare nutritious meals onsite to suit taste, meet care requirements and maintain a healthy diet.

The team are highly-trained and experienced in many specialist and sensitive needs, including supporting adults with dementia.

Due to Mum's condition getting worse, she had to leave Cary Brook but from the day she went there, she was treated with the most wonderful care and attention. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were all kind beyond words. I cannot praise them too highly and would thoroughly recommend Cary
Brook to anyone thinking of placing a loved one there. I can't imagine anywhere better!

It is of 5-star care! Everything is addressed.
Unfortunately, Cary Brook cares for dementia patients and most of them do not appreciate where they are.
My wife's father is in a home which charges similar fees but no way does it compare.

Cary brook is a very pleasant warm and welcoming facility. Residents are well cared for and comfortable. I am unable to comment on some of the options below as I have no personal experience of them.

My Mum moved to Cary Brook at the end of November 2017. One of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make but, sadly, Mum’s Alzheimer’s had moved in to another phase. All the staff are wonderful, supportive, caring and patient. Cary Brook is a cosy, comfortable and safe environment as well as efficient.
Mum settled in quickly helped I’m sure by the supportive staff and general ambience of the home.
Dealing with some quite difficult situations due to the nature of the people they care for, I don’t have the words to express my full appreciation for making Mum welcome and the care they now provide.

Cary Brook's care, empathy and kindness to my mother which she was in their home was second to none. Staff were always cheerful, engaging and patient with all her needs.


The managers were always accessible and kept the family fully informed of any arising issues or concerns. The residents were kept

engaged for as much as they wished to be in activities and life.

My mother was in Cary Brook for one year and was happier there than in her previous care home. The atmosphere and ratio of men to women was much better.
Airier, brighter and generally less formal and much friendlier.

The care and environment provided by Cary Brook cannot be faulted. All the staff have been consistently attentive, very good-humoured and kind throughout my mothers stay at Cary Brook. My brother and I can be reassured that my mother is receiving the best care possible and in the best environment during

Staff are friendly and welcoming and always busy and efficient.
Individual room was light and bright and always immaculate in tidiness and cleanliness. Common rooms were modern and bright, lots of windows to see the world outside.
Activities were varied and frequent and seemed well planned.
Cary
Brook treated residents as individuals. Dad was encouraged to "be himself" - his past was respected and shared. He was given freedom in a safe environment - where he could be part of a community again.
His end of life care was dealt with very sensitively for which we were very grateful.

My mother had vascular dementia and was a resident from Nov 2013 until she died peacefully at Cary Brook in Jan 2017. The staff, their care and empathy with the residents were exemplary. Mum was always happy, relaxed and well entertained. She made good friends and these friendships were encouraged
and assisted. She had swallowing issues but these were allowed for and her weight was maintained throughout her residency by the staff which was quite an achievement. The facilities and equipment are excellent and well adapted to residents' needs. I was kept well informed and consulted on all medical issues and was allowed to contribute to coming up with the most suitable care plan for my mum. On special family events when our full attention was not available, single staff members accompanied my mum and blended is as responsible family members and were a credit to the home and its caring ethos. On her death, we were touched at how affected the staff were, a sign of a real affection.

Cary Brook was a very well run and comfortable home. The staff there are excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. There was not one unfriendly member of staff there.

Job Title: Interim Registered Manager

Being Interim Manager of Cary Brook is such a rewarding and interesting role, and it truly is a privilege to care for and get to know our residents who are living with dementia. Listening to the residents’ life stories is both amazing and surprising – it is unbelievable how much some of them have done in their lives and they are a real inspiration to me. I love it when the residents come and sit in the office with me to have a chat.


Cary Brook is a homely and friendly place, filled with laughter, singing and smiles. My close-knit team support each other and go the extra mile for those in our care. It is so rewarding to know that our residents feel at home here, and to receive feedback from their loved ones to say how happy they are at Cary Brook.
