Cary Brook maintains a home-from-home environment, combining the benefits of an independent lifestyle with quality care provision. Cary Brook has been recognised under the Gold Standard Framework Award for end of life care.

An activities coordinator makes sure there is always plenty to do and enjoy, and residents have access to Skype and WiFi to keep in touch with friends and family. A catering team prepare nutritious meals onsite to suit taste, meet care requirements and maintain a healthy diet.

The team are highly-trained and experienced in many specialist and sensitive needs, including supporting adults with dementia.

Carybrook is a beautiful, friendly place. The staff are so kind to all of the residents. My father-in-law looked forward to his Tuesdays with them and it gave my mother-in-law some very much needed respite. We as a family can't thank them enough.

My father recently passed away following 9 and a half years at Cary Brook. During this entire period, the staff and management of Cary Brook have provided a consistently outstanding quality of care service. As my father's mental and physical condition deteriorated over the years, the unyielding compassion
and care went far beyond that which his residence might be expected to provide. The rooms, the catering, the provision of entertainment, security and comfort are all of the highest standard. Thank you all so much.

My mother has been transformed since becoming a resident in Cary Brook. Upon entering she was frail and scared. She is now enjoying her life in Cary Brook thanks to the wonderful caring staff. They are all Angels.

The kindness care and compassion given to my husband by such wonderful staff could not be better.
The consideration given to me is great. Nothing is too much trouble for them.
There is always a smile and kind word no matter how busy they are.
The food is varied and plentiful, and freshly cooked
on the premises.
The rooms are clean and fresh.
I really cannot say a bad word about Cary Brook.

Always excellent, professional, 'caring' care.
Visitors can call in at any time.
Carers seem to go the extra mile to make Cary Brook a home from home.
They provide exceptional end of life care as well - it makes the 'end' for the family somewhat less stressful.

My mother spent the last 4 years of her life at Cary Brook. She suffered with Alzheimer's Dementia. She received professional, caring and kind care in all her time at Cary Brook.
The environment was clean and safe and we were extremely fortunate that mum was to spend the final years of her life in

I thoroughly recommend Cary Brook, especially for loved ones with dementia. The staff and management are really caring, helpful and professional. They always know how our loved one is doing, whenever we call. When we visit, they welcome us by name and it's never a problem, whatever time of day. The
atmosphere is almost always calm, never are there alarm bells ringing, as each staff member carries a cordless phone which responds to room calls etc.


The entertainment staff are more visible, but everyone displays a desire to help and treat all residents with tenderness. The food is good too, we had a good Christmas dinner with our loved one.

I found the home very caring and all the staff were so friendly there was always a smile and 'would you like a cup of tea' and they treated my uncle with great respect, especially in his last few days so I personally would like to thank everyone concerned.

My mother spent a week at Cary Brook whilst attending her granddaughter's wedding celebrations at a nearby venue. The preparation and advice given prior to our visit was very thorough and gave us confidence in the quality of management, standards of care and expertise at the home. From the moment my
mother arrived, they made her feel welcomed and valued. She showed no signs of anxiety when returning to the home and clearly enjoyed her stay. The quality of care was excellent and the staff showed compassion, humour and a real sense of empathy. The activities arranged were innovative and had clearly been developed by those who had a genuine interest in improving the quality of life of those in their care. A lovely member of the Cary Brook staff came to the wedding celebrations to ensure that there was real continuity of care. It was the perfect solution for us and enabled attending the wedding to be a stress-free, pleasure for my mother. I recommend Cary Brook unreservedly.

My mother was very comfortable in the home. She was always treated with the utmost respect. The home was always spotless and smelt clean. The most important aspect, however, was the excellent staff who were always caring and cheerful. The end of life care for my mother and her family was outstanding
and a much more personal and respectful ending than a hospital would have been.

Cary Brook looked after my mother, who passed away in August, for over 5 years.
All the staff and management are outstanding, very professional, dedicated people.
The home itself is an immaculately clean, bright and very pleasant environment.
Entertainment and activities are very good and the
catering and cleaning staff are great.
At Cary Brook, they don't just care for the residents, they also care about them. There is a difference.
The carers knew my mother very well and the care she received was second to none. The doctors in the nearby surgery are also excellent.
Cary Brook knew what my mother liked and didn't like.
They always kept me informed (I was not local) and made sure that she could visit her husband in his care home.
My mother received friendship, kindness and shared laughter. Humour is a vital ingredient to being happy.
I doubt if I could have found a home that matched Cary Brook. They are the best and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.

Staff always helpful on arrival when we visited and kept us up to date regarding any issues regarding my aunt's state of health and wellbeing. Sometimes the staff were a bit overstretch but always cheerful. My aunt appeared to be well looked after and was generally tidy and clean. Her room was suitable
for her needs. She joined in activities and outings when she was fit enough to participate when she initially moved into Cary Brook.

A very caring environment. My mother particularly enjoyed the activities, especially music and dance. Although my mother had dementia. She was happy in her own world because of the care and stimulation offered by Cary Brook.

Job Title: Interim Registered Manager

Being Interim Manager of Cary Brook is such a rewarding and interesting role, and it truly is a privilege to care for and get to know our residents who are living with dementia. Listening to the residents’ life stories is both amazing and surprising – it is unbelievable how much some of them have done in their lives and they are a real inspiration to me. I love it when the residents come and sit in the office with me to have a chat.


Cary Brook is a homely and friendly place, filled with laughter, singing and smiles. My close-knit team support each other and go the extra mile for those in our care. It is so rewarding to know that our residents feel at home here, and to receive feedback from their loved ones to say how happy they are at Cary Brook.
