An activities coordinator makes sure there is always plenty to do and enjoy, and residents have access to Skype and WiFi to keep in touch with friends and family. A catering team prepare nutritious meals onsite to suit taste, meet care requirements and maintain a healthy diet.

The team are highly-trained and experienced in many specialist and sensitive needs, including supporting adults with dementia.

A lady had an apartment in the same development where I had an apartment. We found that we had much in common and became close friends.
This lady was later diagnosed with dementia and a place was found for her at Cary Brook Care Home. She has been a resident for one year and I have visited her once
every two weeks, subject of course to the virus.
The staff at Cary Brook have been most helpful throughout in arranging these visits and attending to my requests, putting flowers in water and having lunch together.

The care my father is receiving from Cary Brook is excellent. The staff are kind, helpful and extremely courteous. When he was recently ill, they were very efficient in organising him to be seen and treated by the GP. They have also sorted without any fuss the oiling and syringing of his blocked ears.
I am also impressed by the measures of safeguarding the residents from the various nasty viruses that we are plagued with. I would definitely recommend Cray Brook to anyone looking for care for their loved one.

Due to compounding and difficult circumstances, my husband and I could not make an appointment to see my father, who had been admitted to Cary Brook Care Home in September, after the unexpected death of my mother (his carer) in August. We literally had to turn up on the doorstep.
However, the manager
listened to our situation and then went to great lengths to permit a visit with my dad, who I have to say, after not being able to see him for the last two months (we live abroad), looked amazingly well. Clean, shaven, dressed smartly, and looking happy and contented, it was lovely to be able to spend time with him. Clearly, he was being well cared for, and the few staff we met were warm, kind and thoughtful; exactly the sort of people you would want caring for your loved ones when you are unable to.
We can return to our home abroad with some peace of mind.

My dad, who had dementia, was at Cary Brook Care Home for a little under a year until he passed away. I was amazed at the care he received. Such amazing staff. He settled very well. They knew exactly how to manage Dad’s dementia. To encouraging him to eat (he gained weight) to personal hygiene. I am
extremely grateful to each member of staff for their patience, care, knowledge and understanding of dementia and I know Dad would have been too. A fantastic care home who made me feel at ease knowing my dad was happy and content.

My wife went in to care here this year she has Alzheimer's I was dreading it but it went better than I could have wished for, she seems very happy and relaxed. I take her out a few times a week and going back is never a problem the staff are really good. I choose this home because local people said
it was very good and I am glad I did.

My sister-in-law, for whom I have Power of Attorney, has been at Cary Brook for two years. She has dementia, but her care could not be better. She is well attended to and her dignity respected. What more can we expect. Recommended most highly.

My first visit to see my mother who recently moved into Cary Brook. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by a member of staff who expertly did all the arrival checks and tests - Very polite, efficient and helpful.
The home looked lovely as we were taken to my mother's room. My mother's room was very
welcoming and homely, a large room, nicely decorated, airy and bright.
We had a lovely visit. All the staff we met were very professional, polite and welcoming.
We left very happy, knowing our mother is well looked after, we look forward to our next visit in a few days. Thank you to all the Cary Brook staff.

Since arriving from the hospital, her mobility and interest in life were improved due to the lovely care, food and activities. We have a wonderful picture of her holding a large owl! She loved the quizzes, art and craft and love music sing-a-longs. The local surgery tended her cellulitis with great
effect. Her smiles did not lie; she was very happy at Cary Brook.

I cannot thank the staff at Cary Brook enough, they are, well a long list of complimentary words and phrases probably starting with deeply caring. A more understanding, listening, compassionate group of humans you would find hard to put together. I am grateful that the last weeks/days of my mother's

Cary Brook is a very pleasant and welcoming care home. The atmosphere is one of contentment with the staff showing care and compassion to the residents. There is often entertainment for those wishing to join in and gentle persuasion to join activities eg making biscuits, cakes and quizzes.
During
the residency of my former brother-in-law at no time did he express a wish to return to his former home. He was always very content and happy, for which we heartily thank you.

My husband passed away a month ago and was in Cary Brook for 2 years of which he was cared for extremely well. Staff wonderful - treated with dignity. All staff couldn't have done more. A wonderful team! Many thanks!

After 2 unsuccessful attempts of finding a home where dad was happy, it was 3rd time lucky with Cary Brook.
Dad enjoyed all the outings and activities as well as the food. Very friendly staff who were always willing to assist.
I can't praise Cary Brook too highly, it was recommended to me and I will
recommend to anyone.

My mum was well looked after in the home Cary Brook. They were all lovely, the staff looked after my mum so well. I can't thank them enough for what they did for her and the care she got from them.

Mum used to stay for respite at Cary Brook and she always was very happy there. Everyone used to make her feel welcome and her stays were always enjoyable which was so reassuring that she was happy and well taken off when I was away. Cary Brook staff always made it feel home from home.

Job Title: Interim Registered Manager

Being Interim Manager of Cary Brook is such a rewarding and interesting role, and it truly is a privilege to care for and get to know our residents who are living with dementia. Listening to the residents’ life stories is both amazing and surprising – it is unbelievable how much some of them have done in their lives and they are a real inspiration to me. I love it when the residents come and sit in the office with me to have a chat.


Cary Brook is a homely and friendly place, filled with laughter, singing and smiles. My close-knit team support each other and go the extra mile for those in our care. It is so rewarding to know that our residents feel at home here, and to receive feedback from their loved ones to say how happy they are at Cary Brook.
