An activities coordinator makes sure there is always plenty to do and enjoy, and residents have access to Skype and WiFi to keep in touch with friends and family. A catering team prepare nutritious meals onsite to suit taste, meet care requirements and maintain a healthy diet.

The team are highly-trained and experienced in many specialist and sensitive needs, including supporting adults with dementia.

We thank Cary Brook for the wonderful care of my mother-in-law in the two and a half years spent in the residential home. Also, the dignity and care in her final days and hours leading up to her death. Our grateful thanks from Son and Daughter-in-law.

My dad has been a resident for approximately thirteen months. I have found the standard of care to be very high. Staff are very communicative and always contact me quickly if there are any changes or concerns regarding my father. It is very reassuring to know that he is safe at all times.

As my husband's condition has further deteriorated, the challenges for the staff have inevitably increased. Their patience, sensitivity and care have continued with their usual warmth and professionalism. I am deeply grateful. I have peace of mind, knowing that he is safe and so very well cared for.
I always receive a warm welcome and frequently have useful chats with staff. The home is always calm, clean, homely and welcoming.

We would like to thank all of the staff, including laundry, kitchen, cleaners, maintenance, office and carers - all who played such an important part in looking after our father during his stay here. Despite his behaviour, the staff always treated him with patience and respect and when he was taken
to hospital, the kindness and care shown to him was outstanding. Now in a nursing care environment, we are so thankful for the advice and help given by all. You will always have our admiration and respect, thank you so much.

We have been impressed by the level of care Mum has received to date. She has lived at Cary Brook Care Home for just 9 weeks. We are pleased with the friendliness of staff and feel Mum is safe and well looked after. It's nice to see Mum spending time in the communal room which has a relaxed atmosphere.
There are lots of activities and music/films to prevent boredom and stimulate residents.

Everyone at Cary Brook, from maintenance right through to management, clearly care about all of the residents. Every time someone came past where my mum was, they always spoke to her whether it was once or half a dozen times.
Sadly Mum was only at the home a short while before she passed away but the
care that we all received was amazing. Mum passed with dignity, which was something that dementia robbed her of.
The staff at Cary Brook refer to residents as family and that is certainly something that comes across when you visit.

Mum has been in Cary Brook for just over four months. As a family, we feel much more relaxed knowing Mum is in a safe environment and being cared for by an excellent, hard-working professional team.

Such a lovely home, so much care for all the residents, even through difficult times. My mum was there until the summer and also my aunty until recently, I cannot fault the care and kindness given to everyone and also to the visitors, nothing seemed too much trouble. I would have no problems at all

The decision to move my mother into Cary Brook Care Home was very difficult, I felt that I was letting her down and taking her away from her familiar home and garden. In reality, I now realise that she has much better care and a more stimulating environment to spend her remaining time.

Kind and caring by all staff involved with my husband. Only there for six weeks prior to dying but he was looked after so well. All staff at Cary Brook Care Home look after everyone so well, including all visitors.

I cannot recommend Cary Brook Care Home more highly, from the standard of care, the staff, cleanliness, support and help. My mother continues eighteen months to release her beautiful 'smile' and this makes me believe she is happy and well looked after. The staff, most of who have been working at Cary
Brook for a long while, are superb with their ever-friendly manner and are a credit to Cary Brook.

On the whole, we are mostly met by staff who have a positive, friendly demeanour and seem happy to see us.
Mum is always clean and tidy which makes us think she is well cared for. Staff are always happy to talk to us about any issues Mum may have, which are few. Mum seems happy and is liked by all.

Job Title: Interim Registered Manager

Being Interim Manager of Cary Brook is such a rewarding and interesting role, and it truly is a privilege to care for and get to know our residents who are living with dementia. Listening to the residents’ life stories is both amazing and surprising – it is unbelievable how much some of them have done in their lives and they are a real inspiration to me. I love it when the residents come and sit in the office with me to have a chat.


Cary Brook is a homely and friendly place, filled with laughter, singing and smiles. My close-knit team support each other and go the extra mile for those in our care. It is so rewarding to know that our residents feel at home here, and to receive feedback from their loved ones to say how happy they are at Cary Brook.
