Cary Brook

Whilst Mum is increasingly unable to engage with me for very long, the staff make visits very good experiences. I witness kindness, patience, incredible skill, and respectful and considerate care. Each visit, I learn more and more about how I can be around my mum in a way that supports her. The staff are incredibly helpful, even at times when they have competing priorities. They make me feel very welcome and are always smiling. They listen if I have any concerns or requests. I cannot recommend Cary Brook highly enough in terms of care.

My own experience is that Cary Brook is an excellent care home. It is extremely well maintained - spotlessly clean with beautiful, well-tended gardens. The staff members at every level are kind, considerate, and polite, both to residents and their visitors. My sister has advanced dementia. She is an intelligent woman so it is not immediately obvious to casual observers that she lacks mental capacity. Staff appears to make allowances for her aggressive, demanding behaviour which must at times be difficult to tolerate. My sister has been in Cary Brook for 6 months now and was initially very unhappy. She now appears to have settled and to regard it as her home, which I believe is largely due to the kindness and tolerance of the staff. The home offers a range of activities to occupy their residents and now that my sister is a little more settled they will take her out into the town for cosmetic treatments and recently took her, with a number of other residents, to the seaside!

My mum moved into Cary Brook last summer, and the care and support she has had and continues to receive is fantastic. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure the safety and well-being of the residents. The activities are excellent and the home is spotlessly clean. It was a difficult decision to put my mum into long-term care, but I believe that she is as happy as circumstances allow and feels very safe. The staff at Cary Brook have made this possible.

This is a lovely welcoming home. My husband is always well looked after, clean and tidy and well-fed. I am always impressed by all the staff, they are all so kind and caring and happy, which is lovely as it makes it a great environment. Staff are always attentive towards everyone. The place is always clean and everyone looks happy and content. I am very pleased I found this care home as it puts my mind at rest that my husband is very well cared for.

It is a real pleasure to visit Cary Brook. The staff are always welcoming and efficient. All residents seem content and happy which is a result of staff interaction and care which is always evident. Cary Brook provides a safe and cheerful environment and a sense of community - many thanks to all.

Recently, I was able to join my husband and other residents and visitors at Cary Brook to join a special Valentine's Day celebration. A hot and tasty meal was served with appropriate, decorative table settings! The meal was followed by lively entertainment given by a young guitarist. The whole event illustrated the care given to supporting residents and visitors in a friendly and thoughtful way. My family continues to be grateful to the staff for their kindness and support.

Dad has lived in Cary Brook for the past year. During that time, we have experienced first-hand the caring atmosphere created by dedicated staff. The combination of good humour and professionalism means that we can be sure that Dad is in safe hands. We very much enjoy visiting wherever possible and always feel welcome and part of the life of Cary Brook.

We thank Cary Brook for the wonderful care of my mother-in-law in the two and a half years spent in the residential home. Also, the dignity and care in her final days and hours leading up to her death. Our grateful thanks from Son and Daughter-in-law.

Staff always very helpful.

My dad has been a resident for approximately thirteen months. I have found the standard of care to be very high. Staff are very communicative and always contact me quickly if there are any changes or concerns regarding my father. It is very reassuring to know that he is safe at all times.

As my husband's condition has further deteriorated, the challenges for the staff have inevitably increased. Their patience, sensitivity and care have continued with their usual warmth and professionalism. I am deeply grateful. I have peace of mind, knowing that he is safe and so very well cared for. I always receive a warm welcome and frequently have useful chats with staff. The home is always calm, clean, homely and welcoming.

We would like to thank all of the staff, including laundry, kitchen, cleaners, maintenance, office and carers - all who played such an important part in looking after our father during his stay here. Despite his behaviour, the staff always treated him with patience and respect and when he was taken to hospital, the kindness and care shown to him was outstanding. Now in a nursing care environment, we are so thankful for the advice and help given by all. You will always have our admiration and respect, thank you so much.

We have been impressed by the level of care Mum has received to date. She has lived at Cary Brook Care Home for just 9 weeks. We are pleased with the friendliness of staff and feel Mum is safe and well looked after. It's nice to see Mum spending time in the communal room which has a relaxed atmosphere. There are lots of activities and music/films to prevent boredom and stimulate residents.

My mother is very happy there.

The staff at Cary Brook refer to residents as family and that is certainly something that comes across when you visit.

The staff are always cheerful, friendly and helpful. They have made my mother very comfortable and she is as happy as can be expected. We are very grateful for her care.

Such a lovely home, so much care for all the residents, even through difficult times. My mum was there until the summer and also my aunty until recently, I cannot fault the care and kindness given to everyone and also to the visitors, nothing seemed too much trouble. I would have no problems at all recommending this care home and thank you to everyone there for all your hard work and care.
