My husband was admitted to Frith House in the middle of the Covid lockdown - February 21. He had been assessed at home by the social worker.
Our request - residential home - we were advised we would not be able to cope with him. She advised a residential home in Burnham on Sea would suit him better.
We had to leave him at the door and hope for the best!
Once Covid was over, we were always able to visit and were impressed with our welcome and the overall standard of all-around care.
He had so much loving care and passed away on September 3rd 2023.

I want to thank everyone at Frith House for taking care of my mother when she came in for 2 weeks respite. She tells me that you were truly wonderful, and the food was lovely! And from what she has told me...I can't disagree. I am convinced that she would have ended up in hospital if she hadn't come
to you, following a fall. But apart from the direct care she received, I want to thank you for getting the medication she needed. I had tried for 2 months to get the GP to talk to me. You resolved the problem within a few days. Including the necessary ongoing repeat medication.
Now she is back home doing all her normal things including gardening, which she loves. So truly a heartfelt thank you from both of us.

My mother moved into Frith House 9 months ago after her previous care home closed down. I wish she had been in here from the start, as Frith House is far superior in terms of the care that my mother gets and the facilities are superb. Every member of the staff is so caring and attentive to the residents
and treat them as though they were one of their own family. Mom has come on in leaps and bounds since moving here and is much happier and healthier. I cannot praise this home highly enough and would recommend to anyone looking for a first class care home to look no further than Frith House. The facilities are great, staff encourage the residents to get involved in activities throughout the day and are genuinely there for the benefit of the residents. First class Frith House, keep up the good work. From a very grateful son of one of your residents.

My mother has recently moved to Frith House and found the initial adjustment hard. However, she has been treated with nothing but kind consideration and the care she is receiving is excellent. We very much appreciate being able to visit at any time which allows us to pop in often around all other commitments,
the staff are to be commended for their professionalism and empathy.

Firth House, from the beginning, have been extremely understanding and caring. All the staff are lovely, and you can tell they enjoy working at Frith. As a visitor, we feel welcomed, and the care home has a happy, homely feel. My dad has settled well and says he's happy and cared for here.

My husband enjoyed his stay. He liked the cat, but a shame the bird feeders were not filled, as he would have enjoyed watching them from window. The staff were friendly. He liked the food.

The carers are always very helpful and take very good care of mother. The only criticism we have is the phone is sometimes not answered and when it is there is a problem transferring the call to the wing where mum's room is. My sister and I agree on all points.

Very pleased with how well dad was looked after. He seemed very happy when visited by relatives and when I collected him he was clean, tidy and shaven. The home was very clean and the staff we met were all very friendly, helpful and lovely. I would highly recommend this wonderful care home to anyone
needing care for a relative.

the car and attention my mother received from her arrival at Frith House on February 1st 2022, was superb. Mum always told us that 'the staff are all lovely'. Every visit we were looked after with real care and consideration. On the night mum passed away (September 1st 2022) the compassion we were shown
by the lovely team was wonderful.

My mother only stayed for around eighteen months at Frith House, but in that time seemed happy and well cared for. The staff made her feel welcome when she first moved there which helped make it less distressing for her.

Luckily mum was happy to move into care but the family felt even more reassured by Frith House. The attentive staff and her room which opened up onto a small garden. Mum started to make friends and ate better than she had done for a long time. We were pleasantly surprised that she joined in with the
many activities arranged and was very good at quizzes. Mum moved in during Covid but Frith House was a safe haven where hygiene and safety for the resident were paramount. Would recommend Frith House for loved ones.

Frith House provides a top quality service for its residents. Mum went to Frith House in early 2021 under difficult circumstances, with the pandemic and mum had recently been diagnosed with complex dementia. The move was quite traumatic for mum, being they used to be a very independent person and had
to give up her cat whom she adored and missed terribly even though she knew he was safe with me. On arrival at Frith House, mum refused to engage with anyone or anything but with the dedication and gentle persuasion from the care staff mum went from someone who wouldn’t mix to enjoying quizzes, sitting out in a prime position to see what was going on and chatting to people and making some good friends. Her quality of life improved vastly and this is down to the hard work and attention to detail from the staff. As a relative, I found the staff to be kind, and respectful and would listen to enable them to understand mum better. I couldn’t ask for a better service and mum did truly feel at home.

My mum was in Frith house, only for about 18 months, but in that time the girls that cared for her on a daily basis showed her the most amazing friendship and kindness.
I live in Australia, so it was crucial to me that in particular staff but also others showed mum the compassion and patience she deserved,
but also allowed her to share their workplace as she found their company more stimulating and fun.
She never stopped telling me about these amazing girls and she knew they had her back when I couldn’t be there, especially over the difficult past 2 years. They have become our friends.

Frith House looked after my father to provide respite care for my mother. The home was clean and bright and the staff all very welcoming. They took great care of my father and I am certain he will return in the future. We were encouraged to visit as often as we liked.

It was a difficult decision to move dad into Frith House as it was the start of the pandemic and we knew we wouldn't be able to see him for a while; of course it ended up being a lot longer than we thought. But it was what he wanted to do and he was right. The care, company and support we have received
over the last year has been invaluable. All the staff have shown compassion and done their best to maintain family contacts during really difficult conditions. We are now looking forward to Frith House being able to remove restrictions so family visits and activities can resume as normal.

Mum has Dementia (Alzheimer’s) and moved to Frith House in August 2019 following 3 months in another home where she did not settle and where we felt they were unable to meet her needs. We made contact with Frith House and right from our first telephone contact we were met with friendly and very knowledgeable
advice. We visited and met staff who were able to answer all our questions and we felt reassured that Mum would receive the very best care that she needed. Mum settled well; her en-suite room is pleasant and she has her own chair and pictures and personal effects from home. Frith is welcoming and has a ‘homely' feel. It is clean, nicely decorated and always smells fresh. The decor has a ‘seaside’ theme to reflect its position just off the esplanade in Burnham. There are several well-maintained gardens where residents can enjoy a stroll or relax in a chair. Before the Covid-19 pandemic, we were able to take Mum out for regular walks along the seafront or into the town.

Very friendly staff, great location, always referred to the staff as my girls.
As his care needs got more there was always the professional care given to him.

Uncle is very happy at Frith House, he has been there for 4 years now. He says that the food is always very good the staff are all first class. When we visit the staff are always very friendly and courteous. During the lockdown, it was never too much trouble if we rang Frith House and asked for a Facetime
call they would always come back to promptly with a time or take the tablet to Uncle straight away.

The staff at Frith House truly are outstanding. They are polite, attentive and committed to the care, needs and wishes of the residents. My Mother has been a happy resident in the home for two years and she absolutely loves it there. Even in the most challenging of times, staff have been on hand for
any queries and to support relatives. I have been able to safely keep in contact with my Mother throughout COVID and more recently, see her in the home with COVID precautions in place. The home is very inviting for residents and feels like a 'home' should. It is tucked away from the seafront, but close enough that residents can go out for walks etc with the staff. There is even a resident cat!
