Our dad moved to Greenhill House a year ago. We as a family are very happy with the care he receives and the kindness of the staff both permanent and agency. He needs a lot of looking after (he's just turned 98) and the staff treat him with dignity and respect. We feel able to talk to the staff and...
We are very grateful to have our dad being so well cared for.

On the recent Monday just gone my grandfather had a stroke and was coming into his last few days. The care home told us what had happened and that my grandfather would sadly be passing in the next few days. In such a horrible time in our lives, the staff at the care home made it the best of a bad situation. Everyone offered us support and made it clear they would do anything to make us and my grandfather at peace. Seeing my grandfather go was heartbreaking but I cannot thank enough the staff at Greenhill care home for making it special. The staff were extremely supportive and expressed how much they cared for my grandfather. Although he was very sick he enjoyed his last few years in this care home and I cannot thank you enough for making him live his last few years in a happy, peaceful place with so much love and support. Thank you for taking care of my grandfather and my family and we will always be forever grateful for your service to us and my grandfather.
Felt very comfortable with what I found from day one. Very friendly staff and a very clean, warm environment. The food is far better than many places and my mother has little to complain of. The only issue can be weekends when regular staff aren't always available.

He has been very well cared for during his stay. Carers have gone out of their way to be helpful to him, even if he has been unwell.

We feel extremely lucky we found Greenhills for my father.
Excellent staff, clean and comfortable home. Good food - all encouraged to come to the table to eat socially. Staff give lots of attention and there is a lovely entertainment lady who works very hard to keep the brain active! Residents are clean and well turned out. All seem happy.

I have worked for Somerset Care for 21 years, and have been based at Greenhill House since September 2018. As soon as I walked into Greenhill I knew I wanted to be there – it’s a lovely home with a really nice atmosphere in a brilliant location.
I love the everyday contact with residents that you get in a residential care setting. I can take a break from the office and spend time with our residents, and my door is always open to them if they fancy a chat.
The thing I love most about my job can also be the hardest part at times – the variety. No two days are ever the same! I can come into work with plans for the day which change as soon as I walk in the door, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. I have an extremely knowledgeable and caring team at Greenhill, and we are proud to have created a warm, welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for our residents and their visitors.
