When our elderly neighbour needed to go into a care home, I was pleased to recommend Wyndham House as I had visited the home on several occasions to visit a relative and found it to be welcoming and the staff helpful and friendly. Our neighbour was very pleased with his room and with his own chair and
personal belongings around him he felt at home.

My uncle spent a few weeks respite care in Wyndham House. During this stay, my uncle became unwell, the staff were kind, caring and compassionate, enabling him to get back on his feet.

Both my daughter and I were ready for a break and that's what we had - confident that our relative was well looked after by extremely kind and helpful carers. We can't speak too highly of them and will be happy to use them again.

As a regular visitor to the home, I am always impressed by the happy atmosphere in the whole building. Knowing by now the majority of the long term clients, I will be delighted to stop and chat to each and also to lead my monthly Sunday Service as do the other Churches. The staff are very friendly and
welcoming and supportive to all the clients.

I was at Wyndham House for 2 weeks after coming out of hospital after a fall and found it very good. Nice staff, very friendly and kind and cheerful. I went there to help me get stronger after hospital - and it did help a lot. Visitors were encouraged so I didn't feel isolated as there were plenty of
activities to keep me busy and help me prepare for t being home again on my own.

The room was extremely pleasant and that is very important. Also, the atmosphere is very homely and comfortable. The staff were helpful and friendly. Therefore, it is likely that I will bring in Wyndham House again.

My mother was in residential care for almost 2 years. It was a family decision made due to her increasingly mental and physical fragility. During this time every effort was made to encourage, comfort and provide for her needs. In the last two weeks, two family members being trained by Health Service
Professionals were given the freedom to care for my Mother and Grandmother in co-operation with the family doctor and care staff. During these weeks mother remained calm and peaceful which I attribute to hearing consistently the voices of her loved close family members, gently spoken at all times. Also when needing assistance with her care the same voices, therefore, keeping to a minimum the stress upon her. We cannot express adequately how important this has been to the family.

My Grandma needed to be somewhere with support after the death of her daughter. She has settled in well, the staff are amazing, she even leaves her room for meals and Sunday Service and hopes to take care of the garden. It's brought her out of her shell, she does more now than I've ever known her to

My stepfather has been resident at Wyndham House since 14/11/17 he can be difficult to deal with due to autism and his lack of health. The staff to a person has always been very pleasant with him and constantly work with him to get him to have an enjoyable experience. He has told me several times how
good it is at Wyndham House. The staff go above and beyond what would be expected. They are marvellous.

My father used to visit care homes as part of his job. He was so disgusted with most of them that he never ever wanted to go into one. All that has changed since his weeks stay in Wyndham House. The place was more like a hotel than a care home. His room was excellent, beautifully decorated, with
a well equipped En-Suite. The staff we absolutely lovely to both of us.
The place was spotlessly clean, with a fresh smell to it. The food was excellent and there was a lot of it too! There were plenty of areas for the residents to socialise in, so they were not all huddled in one room. There is plenty of light, a beautiful garden, lots of activities and a very happy, welcoming atmosphere. When I reach my grand old age, I will ask to come here too!

Staff kind, caring and courteous. As I myself use only chemical-free cleaning and washing materials and no sprays, I could find it in my heart to wish that care homes were the same. It is possible to be very clean and hygienic with basic products. I am convinced that microwave ovens, though convenient,
do harm to the food they cook and upset the harmony of any room they are in.

Wyndham House is just perfect. Excellent facilities and activities every day.


All staff are friendly, caring and professional. Food is varied, well served and delicious.
Wyndham House is more like a hotel than residential care yet remains a very "home from home" feel and experience.

My wife and I arrived to visit an elderly lady on her 91st birthday.
We were welcomed by the friendly staff and given a cup of tea.
We were very impressed with the home.
It was so clean, no smells and such love and care shown to the residents.
There were things there as well which would remind
the elderly of times past.
A doll's pram, dress up clothes etc.
First class, A+++.

I was anxious as I was going away on holiday and my mother suggested respite during this time. My mother had never been into residential care and I must admit she was apprehensive but trying not to show it. Before this, the manager and deputy came and did a pre-assessment to ensure they could provide
the care my mother needed - they were both absolutely lovely putting my mother at ease. We were invited in for lunch so we could see what it was like - looked at a couple of rooms and my mother was able to choose which one she would like to stay in. On the day of arrival, my goodness the room was beautiful, so clean and welcoming. We cannot praise them enough - they were fantastic, so caring and my mum became very fond of all of them - they were constantly checking on her and asking if everything was alright. The food was lovely with plenty of choice - and my mum's words; "What else could I need, beautiful home, lovely caring staff and so much gorgeous food to eat"!!

Myh elderly sister in law received residential care at Wyndham House from September 2016 until her date of death on 9th March 2017. The care home is very well run and the staff are very helpful and considerate. Most of all they treat the "patients" with the dignity they all deserve.

My wife went into Wyndham House, Minehead in June 2016 after I looked after her for 12 years.
The first couple of months were difficult as she thought she was coming home after a few weeks, but once she got over that and I had stayed to try the meals etc she settled in and she and I know how well she
is looked after in general and with the food they provide she is always saying how good it is.
I cannot fault all the staff from the cleaning ladies, chefs, carers and the management - all are so kind and helpful, they should be seen on television as we see enough of the so-called bad.

I have found Wyndham House pleasant, friendly, has a nice atmosphere and helpful staff. My mum is still settling in and I hope in the future she will take advantage of some activities supplied by the home. She has been encouraged to join the residents at lunchtime and this is good to exercise her legs
and be a little bit more social than she was at home. I am also glad that she is safe at night, as she didn't like nights alone at her flat and I was worried that another fall might happen. Now someone is on the end of an alarm at night, so I have peace of mind.

Wonderful team led by the manager. Every single member of staff are caring and conscientious. They cared for mum for three years. When she had a stroke/diagnosed with cancer in November 2015 they said they would care for her as she was like family. I cannot thank them enough. They also provided much
needed support to me. You should be proud of them all. many of them attended my mum's funeral, she would have been so glad.
