My father used to visit care homes as part of his job. He was so disgusted with most of them that he never ever wanted to go into one. All that has changed since his weeks stay in Wyndham House. The place was more like a hotel than a care home. His room was excellent, beautifully decorated, with a well equipped En-Suite. The staff we absolutely lovely to both of us.

The place was spotlessly clean, with a fresh smell to it. The food was excellent and there was a lot of it too! There were plenty of areas for the residents to socialise in, so they were not all huddled in one room. There is plenty of light, a beautiful garden, lots of activities and a very happy, welcoming atmosphere. When I reach my grand old age, I will ask to come here too!

Staff kind, caring and courteous. As I myself use only chemical-free cleaning and washing materials and no sprays, I could find it in my heart to wish that care homes were the same. It is possible to be very clean and hygienic with basic products. I am convinced that microwave ovens, though convenient, do harm to the food they cook and upset the harmony of any room they are in.

Wyndham House is just perfect. Excellent facilities and activities every day.

All staff are friendly, caring and professional. Food is varied, well served and delicious.

Wyndham House is more like a hotel than residential care yet remains a very "home from home" feel and experience.

Well done to all.

My wife and I arrived to visit an elderly lady on her 91st birthday.
We were welcomed by the friendly staff and given a cup of tea.
We were very impressed with the home.
It was so clean, no smells and such love and care shown to the residents.
There were things there as well which would remind the elderly of times past.
A doll's pram, dress up clothes etc.

First class, A+++.

I was anxious as I was going away on holiday and my mother suggested respite during this time. My mother had never been into residential care and I must admit she was apprehensive but trying not to show it. Before this, the manager and deputy came and did a pre-assessment to ensure they could provide the care my mother needed - they were both absolutely lovely putting my mother at ease. We were invited in for lunch so we could see what it was like - looked at a couple of rooms and my mother was able to choose which one she would like to stay in. On the day of arrival, my goodness the room was beautiful, so clean and welcoming. We cannot praise them enough - they were fantastic, so caring and my mum became very fond of all of them - they were constantly checking on her and asking if everything was alright. The food was lovely with plenty of choice - and my mum's words; "What else could I need, beautiful home, lovely caring staff and so much gorgeous food to eat"!!

Myh elderly sister in law received residential care at Wyndham House from September 2016 until her date of death on 9th March 2017. The care home is very well run and the staff are very helpful and considerate. Most of all they treat the "patients" with the dignity they all deserve.

My wife went into Wyndham House, Minehead in June 2016 after I looked after her for 12 years.
The first couple of months were difficult as she thought she was coming home after a few weeks, but once she got over that and I had stayed to try the meals etc she settled in and she and I know how well she is looked after in general and with the food they provide she is always saying how good it is.

I cannot fault all the staff from the cleaning ladies, chefs, carers and the management - all are so kind and helpful, they should be seen on television as we see enough of the so-called bad.

I have found Wyndham House pleasant, friendly, has a nice atmosphere and helpful staff. My mum is still settling in and I hope in the future she will take advantage of some activities supplied by the home. She has been encouraged to join the residents at lunchtime and this is good to exercise her legs and be a little bit more social than she was at home. I am also glad that she is safe at night, as she didn't like nights alone at her flat and I was worried that another fall might happen. Now someone is on the end of an alarm at night, so I have peace of mind.

Wonderful team led by the manager. Every single member of staff are caring and conscientious. They cared for mum for three years. When she had a stroke/diagnosed with cancer in November 2015 they said they would care for her as she was like family. I cannot thank them enough. They also provided much needed support to me. You should be proud of them all. many of them attended my mum's funeral, she would have been so glad.
