As part of the refurbishment, a new café, cinema and shop were added to bring the heart of the home to life, with lounges and the hair salon also being updated for resident comfort and relaxation.
Spacious bedrooms with en-suite facilities look out onto landscaped gardens, and the team of staff are on hand at all times to ensure every resident continues to be as independent as they can be.
There is a varied programme of events, activities and outings where residents can continue to pursue their hobbies and interests and also try some new things out. Daily social activities include:

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I would like to reassure you that we have recently recruited several more team members and now have more staff working at Coombe End than ever. Please don't hesitate to come and talk to me about any concerns you may have next time you're visiting the home.

My husband has been in Coombe End for almost a year now and during this time I have seen nothing but kindness shown to the residents by the staff. The one concern I had was lack of activities and this has now been addressed and plenty is going on for residents if they wish to participate. Overall I think the care and consideration shown to residents is first class. Coombe End is currently undergoing a makeover which should make things even better for the residents and visitors. It is a home I would recommend.
The biggest problem is that the right hand doesn't never seem to talk to the left hand, so therefore getting information is very difficult at times. Apart from these two problems I can only praise the ways this home is run and managed.

If at any time you require any information relating to your mother’s care, please do not hesitate to speak to the Care Leader, Head of Care on duty or indeed myself. I am of course more than happy to discuss this with you further next time you visit the home.
I am happy with all aspects of care that is being prolonged for my mother. I am told that she is no trouble and easy to look after although she has lost weight over the first few months. This is to be expected due to her condition.

Both parents are residents at Coombe End Court and I am constantly grateful that they are so happy and well cared for. The overall care is superb, the staff are friendly and welcoming and both parents are totally settled and "at home".

Hannah has worked in Health and Social Care since the age of 16, starting her career as a carer in a small residential home. From the very beginning, Hannah realised that supporting and caring for elderly people was something she was truly passionate about.
Hannah went on to study Health and Social Care at Level 3 and quickly progressed within the care sector. Throughout her career, she has worked in a variety of roles, including Care Assistant, Night Care Assistant, and Senior Care Assistant. Hannah remained in a Senior Care Assistant role for around eight years, during which time she expanded her knowledge, developed her leadership skills, and completed her QCF Level 5 in Health and Social Care.
In 2018, Hannah joined The Orders of St John and was later appointed as Deputy Home Manager, continuing to build her experience across a range of homes and services. This provided her with a wealth of experience and a broad range of skills to support different care settings and individual needs.
In 2023, Hannah was appointed as Home Manager and has since also supported other homes from a Peripatetic perspective. Hannah is extremely passionate about sharing her experience with others, supporting teams to embed compliance, and driving continuous improvements in standards of care.

Vanessa has always worked in healthcare, with some years with the ambulance service before joining the Trust and Coombe End Court. She started as a carer and soon found she was learning more skills and was promoted.
Vanessa loves how supportive the team at Coombe End Court is, getting to know the residents and listening to all their fascinating life stories. Getting to know the residents’ families is also very important to Vanessa so that they feel able to come to her if ever they need anything.
