Extremely friendly home, all staff really care for the clients and make it as homely as possible. My mother in law stayed for the first time in June and really enjoyed her self so much so she didn't want to come home!

Every time I visit, I always receive a warm welcome. There is always lots of activities going on, including visits from a variety of animals. Staff are dedicated and always ensure the residents have the best care. It’s nice to see management around the home chatting with residents including their families and friends. One of the nicest and friendliest care homes I have visited.

All the staff have extremely attentive and caring concerning my father. We always receive a warm welcome and know that he is in professional and responsible hands throughout his care with you.

However, just over the weekends - obtaining entrance has proved difficult- hopefully, this can be remedied in time.

My mother became a resident of the home and was made most welcome and settled in quickly.
Unfortunately, she was taken very ill one night and I am very impressed with the swift response to her problem and the professional way the hospital was called for.

On her return, she was really pleased with the welcome she received. She loved the cake on her birthday too.

Friendly and approachable staff and someone always on hand to give advice, support, answer questions etc. Always cheerful and helpful and all know my father's name and address him by it. Open and light environment for residents, coffee maiking facilities available in the dining rooms and a cafe for anyone's use on the ground floor, leading into the garden.

Rooms are spacious and well laid out, all with en-suite facilities. Never heard one complaint about the food!

Sometimes enough staff in the lounge, sometimes no staff and one has to look for one, could take a while to find one.

Night staff can be a bit rough when handling patients. Agency staff not very helpful.

The care home is overall good, but my mother lost a skirt and top which I have been trying to get back for the last month with no luck. It seems no one can find them. Even though they were both clearly marked.

I will be seeking compensation for these items.

My husband has been in Coombe End for almost a year now and during this time I have seen nothing but kindness shown to the residents by the staff. The one concern I had was lack of activities and this has now been addressed and plenty is going on for residents if they wish to participate. Overall I think the care and consideration shown to residents is first class. Coombe End is currently undergoing a makeover which should make things even better for the residents and visitors. It is a home I would recommend.

The biggest problem is that the right hand doesn't never seem to talk to the left hand, so therefore getting information is very difficult at times. Another annoying concern is the problem of getting in and out at times, as you can wait sometimes 10-12 minutes just to gain access. Apart from these two problems I can only praise the ways this home is run and managed.
