I have no experience relating to safety etc or value for money or activities. I have been very impressed by the friendliness of staff and the welcome to visitors. There is a very good atmosphere and my friend (of 60+ years) seems happy and well cared for.

Overall Experience

Mum has been here for 15 months now and we have seen plenty of changes, from rooms to staff that are all very positive. I am very happy with The Orchards and always recommend them when asked. Most staff are very willing to answer any questions about mums care and health and are happy and smiley, that fills me with confidence.

Overall Experience
My sister is rather frail, wheelchair-bound, on oxygen 24/7 and has onset dementia; so she needs a lot of care.

From day one, the staff at this home have been so kind and caring and the manageress has been wonderful, always there for my sister and her family, nothing is too much trouble. I cannot find fault. My husband and I can now find some peace knowing that my sister is being well looked after in a kind and caring environment.

Following visits to 8 other care home, the family chose the Orchards. From day one, we have found all staff so supporting and any request is never a problem.

The care home is very clean and never smells as several others did that we visited. I would recommend this care home to anyone.

Very good care was given for a temporary period of 3 weeks of respite care.

Given my father has the onset of dementia, the carers were very polite and considerate.

Very good terms with staff and management and treated with respect by all.

One person looks after maintenance with help from another person. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I visit the home every other day to see my partner so I do know how people are treated.

I cannot speak too highly of The Orchards. They may not be bristling with the plethora of processes and procedures that other homes may have but make no mistake, the care provided here is first class.

I have lots of experience here, my wife was a verifier in care for many years, my father spent the last three years of his life in various homes before passing away with dementia and my mother is currently in care due to her dementia.
