Wonderful atmosphere, people talking to each other, communicating on all levels. Kind, compassionate and friendly. These are the residents of Digby Manor Residential Care Home. The staff are well organised and go about their roles without any fuss. So nice to see our elderly being treated with respect and dignity. Our relative has spent two weeks with the other residents of Digby Manor and made new friends, integrated with other people for the first time in a long time, and been wonderfully cared for. We highly recommend this residential home.

Lovely, warm caring staff who are very friendly and accommodating. They do their best to meet all resident needs. My dad can be demanding but the staff are very patient with him and ensuring he is looked after. A lovely family run home with the owners omnipresent and always on hand to meet relatives.

I am unable to give a full report as I was not available to see everything that went on, but what I saw was genuine care for the residents and also they said that they were satisfied with everything. Also, my wife said that she would not mind going back as she said that everyone was friendly. The overall impression of the home was very clean and also the kitchen of what I did see. From a general point of view the owners, who have just taken over, do require some minor work to bring the standard higher, but I do think that they will get there as it is early days.

Thank you, Bill, for your review and for acknowledging that since we have taken over the Home we are actively improving all aspects of the Care Home. The staff are being trained and are enjoying the new direction that the care home is going in. With the continual improvements, we are hoping to make Digby Manor a flagship home in Birmingham to champion excellent care for the elderly.

Mom stayed here for a weeks respite and has really enjoyed herself.
Our initial response was a positive one as the staff were very welcoming and made Mom feel at ease straight away.
When we picked Mom up after we got back she was in the main room looking smart and comfortable.
It must have been good as she has said she would like to stay again.

All in all no complaints from us.

The girls (carers) are absolutely fantastic to my sister. One in particular, is like gold dust. We love the care that my sister gets. My sister is very happy and the staff are very calm. My sister has come out of her shell. She used to be very quiet but she is very settled. I cannot thank the staff and owners enough for the outstanding care that they give.

My mother at 92 years of age became very ill quite suddenly. The team at Digby Manor gave my mother excellent care and made such a difficult situation into a very controlled and safe environment whilst retaining her dignity. We, as a family, were extremely satisfied with the way Digby Manor took my mother into their care for the final period of her life.

My Mother moved into the Digby Manor Care Home in 2011, she settled in very well, she is 102 years old and still loves her food. The girls and boys who look after her have really been good to her over the years. I think the care and attention she has received has helped her live so long. So we are happy we chose this care home for her in 2011!

Overall Experience
Outstanding compassionate care, especially during the last months of my Aunts life. Initially, my aunt was hesitant about entering a care home, however this was soon dispelled when she arrived at Digby Manor. She always said the "girls" (carers) are all lovely and that she did not want to move. Her wish was fulfilled as they were able to look after her until the end of her life, saying that it was her home.
The staff always seemed cheerful and very pleasant, with both residents and visitors alike. Also well informed and I was usually greeted with an update on my aunt's condition as soon as I arrived.

I feel it was a real home from home and will always be grateful they had a vacancy when my aunt could not manage in her own home.
