Overall Experience

We were recently in the heart-breaking position of having to find a care home for my mother-in-law following a major stroke. We visited a few different care homes prior to Austin Rose, none of which gave me that ‘comfortable’ feeling. When I first visited Austin Rose there was an instant sense of calmness. It is clean, bright and airy. The staff quickly got to know my mother-in-law and us, they work closely with the family to make sure that my mother-in-law’s care needs are met, they quickly advise us of any concerns and react to any queries that we raise. The staff have helped both my mother-in-law and the family through an emotionally difficult process.

Austin Rose is a brand new home and is currently recruiting staff, however this has not compromised the levels of care as additional rooms are not opened up until the correct levels of staff are in place.

Our family are absolutely delighted with the care and attention and facilities which our uncle is enjoying at the Austin Rose. There can be no place better for this level of care. It's like a five-star hotel. All staff from cook, cleaner, nursing and management have been wonderful and very supportive to us in making decisions for long-term needs for our favourite uncle.

Wonderful experience of placing dad under extreme time pressure. Staff are fabulously friendly.

Special commendation to the management team. If it weren't for them, this would have been a nightmare. They have made me feel so welcome.

Overall Experience
My father has been at Austin Rose for nearly a month now, before which he was in residential care at a home in Dudley.
My early impressions of this home in West Heath is that it is - and will remain - a very good place.
The management is excellent and encourages good communications between family and staff.
Food and accommodation all top notch; the building is new and purpose built.
The management and senior staff set high standards.
My father is much happier here than his previous home and he has much more stimulation here.
He is always clean and the staff are all very patient with him.

Although early times, this home has a bright future.

Hi, I’m Mandi, and I’m proud to be the Care Home Manager here at Austin Rose.

With over 10 years of Nursing experience, I am passionate about providing compassionate care to our residents. My goal is to create a warm, supportive environment where everyone feels valued and respected, and I believe in a person-centred approach, tailoring our care to meet individual needs.

I originally completed my qualification in Adult Nursing in 2008 and have worked in various busy Nursing environments throughout my career. I always pride myself on being hardworking and enthusiastic, with a willingness to learn new skills and adopt new ideas and enjoy working alongside my team to deliver quality services for residents to maintain their wellbeing.

When I’m not at work, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and exploring the outdoors. I love holistic therapies and self-care, and I adopt this approach in care delivery to our residents. I love massages, retail therapy, listening to music and socialising with others. I am very creative and enjoy ensuring that environments have a touch of glamour.
