My elderly father spent the final two months of his precious life in nursing care at Austin Rose.

Following three years of illness, he had complex health needs but thankfully retained complete clarity of mind. From the moment that close family had a look (unannounced visits) at Austin Rose to the day he died, we have nothing but praise for the high quality of nursing care for him which my father could endorse. The family were made very welcome and well supported during this sad time. The staff of Austin Rose in all aspects of roles and responsibilities are professional warm people.

Nice place, caring staff.
Not somewhere that we could have afforded ordinarily as costs high.
Room sometimes messy with food on the floor.

Put into bed and nightwear too early sometimes (2pm)

My mother was a resident at the home on a temporary basis, whilst her health care needs were assessed.
I could not fault the care, compassion and support that the staff provided for my mother during her short stay.

They were a credit to their profession.

My Mum was in care at this Care Home.
She was very well looked after.
Staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made you feel welcome.
Although they did not cook typical Indian food, they did try providing curry food.
My mum could not take solid food and they did puree the food and made sure she had something to eat.

Due to the geographical location, they could not provide my mum's needs in the following area: Religiously, Spiritually and Culturally. They did provide other in house entertainment.

Thank you for your comments, we have taken on-board your feedback. The home does have a quiet room which we use as a multi-faith room, we will raise this with staff and ensure that all new residents are made aware. Thank you for raising this with us.

A big, big thanks to all the super staff at Austin Rose who made my dad’s last few months very happy. Today was a very sad day but we knew he loved being there and he was in a safe, comfortable environment; he really enjoyed the banter with all of the staff, let alone the many bourbon biscuits. Thanks for everything you have done to support him, especially over the last weeks.

The home has been open now for twelve months and like all new establishments it has had its teething troubles but any concerns that I have had have always been sorted out by the manager and her lovely team and carers by listening and taking the appropriate action to make life as pleasant and comfortable as possible for the residents. They are made to feel special and loved which in my opinion is the most important aspect of their care. The activities were slow to start but with an enthusiastic and hard-working activities lady, things are improving weekly and we are looking forward to a full and lively programme on the run-up to Christmas. The home has a warm and friendly feel to it, it's not perfect but then no care home is with having to try and please everyone but it is the best one that I have encountered by far and I have no issues with it.

Dad had a comfortable and clean existence in the home for the 19 weeks he was there. He was treated kindly by all the staff, who supported his needs throughout his stay. They encouraged him to join in at mealtimes and also to sit out in the chair. We as a family were greeted whenever we entered the home with a friendly smile.

My mom went to stay here for just over a week while we went on a much needed holiday. She was very nervous, she has never been anywhere like this before but when we picked her up at the end of her stay, she was saying she will go back for a week or two any time. It was a relief the home kept in touch all the time. Mom was well looked after and happy at the end of the week. Thank you.

I would like to thank all the nursing staff on the first floor and all the carers who looked after my mother during her end of life care. They all did such a fantastic job during a very difficult period for her family. Showing great loving care and respect, we could not have wished for anything better.

Austin Rose Care Home is lovely and immaculately clean and a pleasure to visit with all the staff being very helpful.

I was very impressed right from the start by the staff, the environment and the services provided for my wife.
Staff were immediately welcoming, supportive and intuitive at a very emotional time for our family. I can rest assured that my wife is professionally cared for on a 24 hour basis.
The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and her ensuite room is spacious and comfortable; affording the family an enjoyable place to visit.
I cannot speak highly enough of Austin Rose and it's staff - they make the effort to make everyone feel welcome and remain part of their families life.

Thak you.

I am grateful to the care staff and nurses for looking after my dad. However, I am extremely upset that when my dad passed away, we had no contact after his passing from the care home. Not even a sympathy card or flowers for the funeral.

Reply from Zeta Zeta, RQAM at Austin Rose Care Home

We are deeply sorry that we failed to send a sympathy card or flowers after your father passed away, this is something we do normally do and it has been an oversight on our part on this occasion, please accept our sincere apologies. I will discuss this with the team at Austin Rose to ensure this does not happen again. Thank you, Zeta.

Mom was placed at Austin Rose Care Home for an enhanced assessment following a period of hospitalisation. It became clear quite quickly that mom was in need of 24-hour nursing care. Having seen how mom was cared for by the staff during her assessment I actively asked if her long-term placement could be here.
I have nothing but thanks and praise to offer to the staff all of whom made moms last few weeks as comfortable as they could be. She was treated with respect, kindness and care. I could not have wished for her to be in a better place for her final days.

I would very strongly recommend Austin Rose to anyone.

My father was placed at Austin Rose for interim care. He has received exceptional care. I am very impressed with the facility and staff. I would have liked him to stay but needed him closer to the home base. I decided it had to be another Macc Care home! We were lucky to find his new home - they have a high standard to compare to. Well done Austin Rose. Keep up the excellent service!

Found Austin Rose Care Home comfortable and luxurious. The staff are very friendly and courteous. My mother was very poorly when she went into the home and the staff were very good with mum and bonded with her very quickly. The home still has a few teathing problems because it had only opened three months previously. Overall I would recommend Austin Rose Care Home.
